Lady, you give new meaning to the phrase, "thinking outside the box"! Absolutely brillant ideas!! Thanks you so much for helping us to garden so inexpensively and making it fun too.
This is genius! I have a bunch of 6 ft. bamboo stakes and was trying to figure out how to secure them without the wind blowing them over. Just have to go get some green tape. Thanks for helping keep from spending a fortune.
Awesome!!! I'm going to use this in several totes, especially the one with sweet potatoes. Already their vines look like they'll be taking over everything. Thank you again!!!
Yay!! We finally get to learn your trick for making these "elbows" on the stakes!! Thanks so much!! Ingenious!! as usual 😊 !! Hey! I wanted to share something I learned from someone else on UA-cam that I never knew....they make METAL zip ties!!! I had to order some from Amazon, of course! So no more baking and cracking in the sun and heat!! Bet Gary could use some of those, too!! Thanks again, and have a wonderful evening!!
Kitty is so cute with her Flock of Seagulls hairstyle! Thank you for sharing so much wonderful knowledge. I've got dishpans and seeds on the way for my patio Victory Garden; I'm so excited!
I have just come in from checking my garden. I have two yellow squash vines with lots of flowers. Only female flowers [I know because you told me what to look for]. A plant in another tote in another part of the garden had two male flowers. Thanks for showing me how to hand pollinate. Hopefully, I did it correctly. Only time will tell. I have been gardening for years but feel I know very little about gardening. I am learning so much from you! Going to watch more of your videos! Thanks again!
You give the best tips, this video came right on time as my tomatoes are starting to lean over and I can't afford a trellis. I do have several of those stakes you used so I will be doing this today. Thank you so very much 💕
HI Robbie Thank you this came just at the right time. I have been trying to figure out how to do a trellis and be able to put some tulle over some plants to protect from the hot humid area we live in. No the wheels are turning. I was going to use some branches we had cut but they are rough on material. Will be showing my friend this she is just getting back into gardening. I love all the things you have taught us lately. And you " think out side the box" like we do!!
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH ROBBIE for getting this video up I've been waiting for this ITS FABULOUS!!! Love it and love you and Gary and Kitty too! Your Amazing!!🐾🐾🥦🌱🍅🌹🙏👍😊
Thank you! Another terrific idea that I can make for the garden! Yee haw! Blessings and greetings from central Florida! You are so creative but yet down-to-earth!
Thank you for the demo. From when we first saw those 2+ years ago, we've pondered over & over trying to figure them out. Now you given your valuable secret away. Will try to make this work with our bamboo stakes as well (they are free!). Luv you & your vids.
I just love your videos, you've helped a lot in saving money in growing gardening and to compose. Also im still learning about hummingbirds they love your recipe I made. Thank you Robbie!
Robbie saved the day for me! 8 bought shade cloth and needed an easy way to put it up. I'm so excited, while just this morning I was frustrated and sad. Whoopee!!!
Hello. Robbie. Fantastic creation as usual. Love it ... Nora here. I have these poles Tin foil and the Green tape and ties and Cool Tulle. My Hubby and i will be making these . We have started some cherry tomatoes. Which continue to Grow and Grow. I Love the sounds of the Birds in the background, it sounds pretty windy there . Take care and be well. Robbie and Gary & Cool Cool Kitty. Nora & Manuel.
Thank you Robbie. I requested for this demo more than a year ago. Finally, I know how those corners are done. My other request is asking where you bought your ube starters. I am learning a lot from your channel. From container gardening, Using chairs to save backs and knees, composting in place and many more. Keep doing what you do best. Please thank Gary for me and thanks to you. And don’t forget to eat what you grow. 🥰😘💕❤️
So glad I found you on facebook. You are truly a gardener and have such wonderful ideas. I have a small yard and really appreciate information on container gardening. Thanks a bunch
How interesting! I sometimes reuse old shoe laces to tie up my plants to a bamboo stick. It's best to reuse and recycle rather than toss it in landfill. That's such a great idea you have there.
Hey Robbie, I am getting a grape vine and was wondering how to grow them hanging. Thanks for this video, now I have the corners figured out. All I need is three stakes😊😊😊
Thank you so much! I am such a frugal person that I already have used foil in a drawer. But. I don’t have the imagination to use stuff for something other then they were made. I’m doing much better after watching your videos. I have so much less waste (and I hardly had any before) compared to neighbors. Their trash cans are filled over the top. I dropped trash pickup at my house and pay a few dollars to a neighbor to put my small kitchen bag in his extra trash can. The only waste I have pretty much is from the litter box. Lol. And this fall, I’m taking all the trash bags with leaves away from my neighbors curbs. They pay extra for that pick up. I wonder if they’ll pay me? Hahaha.
I'm too cheap to buy those green stakes. They have gone way up in price lately. But if you are lucky enough, you can get old curtain rods at thrift stores and yard sales.
Hello, wonderful teachings, very informational, thank you :-)) I see your pocket on your shirt, I had the same idea and have started 3 different shirts. Very convenient especially for gardening. Love that someone else had same idea.
I do like this one! I've tried a couple of different ways to make a trellis/frame for insect mesh (or tulle!) but so far, I have not been happy with the results. But this looks both easy, and effective. And cheap!
This is why I use bamboo sticks because they hold up in the weather for a long time I also take three criss-crossing and use roping like a teepee that way I can take the mash and just drape it over the bamboo sticks cuts down on the bugs attack my tomatoes
Hi Robbie. I am watching your video and just love all your ideas. I have a question about composting. I live in Mississippi and we have many species of snakes. I have heard they are attracted to compost bins as they are warm...ugh and they like to lay eggs in them. Do I cover my bin and if so what with? I sure don't want to look in my bin and see any snake! We also have raccoons and opossums. How do I keep them out of the bin? Thanks! I am just starting on my bin journey
Here the opossums do not bother the totes, and I have my compost in my totes, in the middle, covered in some sort of soil. So I have never had our snakes try to get in, they are just looking for rodents in the garden. Be sure if you are dumping kitchen scraps in a tote, to cover them with a thin layer of any soil, that is even "dirt" from your yard if you think you are going to have an issue. Take care!
THANK YOU!! I have tomatoes in a kiddie pool and I didn't know how on earth I was going to trellis them. I already have those poles, fabric. Walmart sell the green tape?
I really liked this video. Im definitely going to make me some. Thank you. I wanted to ask you a question. I have a huge pot of oregano and some of my leaves have white stuff on them. Do you have any suggestions of what i did wrong. Can I use it or cut it off.
I am wondering Robbie, if you've ever made those type of steaks teepee style and would they work that way as well? I'd be very interested to know if you ever tried them that way? Thank you for all your clever ideas!💡 Michele
I can never seem to get a very good look at the trellises (the whole system) that you use with in the 18 gallon bins. I'm not sure how to set them up for small melons like sugar baby watermelons. I heard that melons grow very well during growing zone 9 summers but need a lot of water, and even watering. I think the bins would help with that. I don't have any experience using zip ties. Will they really keep the horizontal parts of the trellis in place?
Great idea, Robbie! I am looking for best way to stake my garden and I love how you create miracles in the garden. You are a genius! What length and diameter metal poles work best? We are retired on fixed income so I am always searching for best investment of my dollars and energy. Great compliment when my husband told me he thinks you and I think alike. He said it is no wonder I love watching your videos. 🌼🌸🐞🦋🥰❣️🐝

@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy I'm thinking about swiping the roll my husband has🤭
Robbie you're so creative, thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you!

Great tip, this gave me other ideas as well.
Robbie I absolutely love that top and it looks beautiful on you. Love watching your videos, Thank you for sharing.
I noticed that too. I'm sure that she made the kangaroo pocket herself. I need one like that for my phone! Will look at my scraps today!
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this! Thanks so much Robbie. I knew you'd come thru 🙏👍🍅

That's a great idea! Thank you for sharing! ❤️🙏
Thanks Robbie for that idea I cut some bamboo to do the same thing but the corner s will be done just like that easy
Brilliant! Thank you, Robbie. I'll go look where I can get the green masking tape.
Any any hardware store or Home Depot and Lowe’s, most any store also like Walmart or target in the paint section/department

You are so fun

Okay 😊 thanks
Thank you.
When will Gary teach us to make the rocks?♥️♥️🙄

Yes it is. Frog tape brand, Thanks.
