Here's hoping Marvel tell Sony to F off and keep Spider-Man 4 a grounded story
Street story, multiversal elements, Destin Daniel Cretton, hopefully Kingpin and Daredevil, and sane writers as the NWH (so hopefully continuity of the spell still remains intact)
SPIDER-MAN 4 will be Scorpion hired to kill Spider-Man by Kingpin. THEN, after killing off all the other villains (i.e., tinkerer, Mysterio, shocker, etc) to get info on Spider-Man’s whereabouts and his scorpion suit, he goes after Spider-Man.
Near the middle of the film (after DOOMSDAY), they all go into the Void, where the symbiote attaches itself to Scorpion. Vulture helps Spider-Man against VenomScorpion, where Spider-Man… vulture … scorpion DIE. The symbiote revives Spider-Man for SECRET WARS.
Scorpion kills off all the OTHER Spider-Man villains, establishes the then NEW villain (Kingpin), AND gives Spider-Man his symbiote suit.

Not just the Spidey combat, but also Daredevil’s combat getting a potential upgrade too and them fighting together using each other’s moves to compliment against their villains.

The best mcu solo film in my opinion. My favorite post endgame film is no way home but for a stand alone story shang chi takes it

Dustin Daniel Cretton has all the right skills and sensibility to make an excellent Spider-man film. Plus, he knows how to pepper the right amount of humor into his films!

Street Level Style Film is Perfect 100%, because that’s what the real point is for the MCU Spider-Man 4 for The College Trilogy.
My guess is that they are doing Mr. Negative bc an Asian-American director would know perfectly how to write an Asian character like Martin Li. Also they showed Feast in No Way Home.

Yeah common sense of course but I can imagine Feige searched for the middle ground between what they wanted and what he wanted. A respect they don’t deserve but Feige likes to try and make all parties happy so I can respect that.
I wanted Jon Favereau to direct Spider-Man 4 but Destin is a great pick as well. Can't wait for this and hope this is a Street-Level Spidey Film with Kingpin, Daredevil And Mando's Scorpion.

I did really like how Dustin directed Shang chi! Def excited to see what he does with Spider-Man
Love Shang chi so this is fantastic news along with us finally hearing something more concrete. Director means that whatever the direction is they’ve both agreed on it and things are progressing. That’s all I want to hear at this point, Sony knows to let the marvel team be now and let them get things moving.

The action sequences in Spider-Man 4 will be insane. Cretton’s gonna cook with his fight choreography mixed into this movie. We’ve seen the death dealer scene from Shang-Chi🔥 He could easily include video game (Yuri Lowenthal’s) Spider-Man moves/finishers on the big screen. I love this move a lot, and his boy Shang-Chi’s gotta make an appearance, right?

I was one of the people who always hyped and defended the Shang Chi movie and now all of the sudden people love Shang Chi after hating or trash talking it.. funny how things change 😂
When it comes to casting spells, the magic often persists independently of the caster. This is why curses can linger indefinitely until someone capable of removing them steps in. Considering Doctor Strange cast his spell with good intentions, it was surely meant to last. So Marvel will need to write a convincing explanation for why the spell broke down so quickly. After all, the spell was meant to hide Peter Parker's identity from the entire world. It doesn't make sense that it would selectively fail just for him while still working for everyone else.
I want Mary Jane Watson to be in Spiderman 5.
Having him as the Director is a fantastic move! I loved Shang Chi especially the hand to hand combat. An the Homecoming Trilogy is so well done. Having him back with his knowledge and previous experiences in the MCU is only going to make wonders. An that is exactly what Spidey deserves.

I'm not a fan of shung chi, the movie or character, so because of that idk how to feel about him directing spider-man 4. I hope he makes it better than no way home However not confident in it.
If this does end up being a multiverse movie again I hope we get tom Hollands Spider-Man vs tom hardys venom. If it's grounded then I hope we get spider-man vs kingpin & scorpion with them setting up later on the sinister 6 and the symbiote.

I loved Shang Chi and I’m glad that he is directing Spider-Man 4 especially for the combat and action sequences are going to be crazy asf especially since Shang Chi has some really great and amazing fight and action scenes I’m so hyped for this film now! What are people’s thoughts on who the main villains will be and what kind of story arc Peter will have in Spider-Man 4, 5, & 6?
Wilson Fisk, now the mayor of New York City, creates a specialized task force aimed at tracking down and arresting vigilantes, with financial backing from a mysterious benefactor referenced in Ant-Man and The Wasp. This benefactor influences Fisk’s actions through covert policy "requests." To further his agenda, Fisk hires Black Cat to steal the remaining Venom symbiote goo. Spider-Man intervenes, stopping Black Cat and hiding the symbiote to keep it safe. Throughout the film, Spider-Man and Black Cat engage in a cat-and-mouse game that evolves into an on-again, off-again romantic relationship.
Meanwhile, MJ, now a social media journalist and activist, begins exposing Fisk’s dark secrets. Her investigative work puts her in direct conflict with Fisk, who retaliates by sending goons to kill her. Spider-Man saves MJ, but she is injured, leading Ned to blame Spider-Man for the incident. Enraged, Fisk places an enormous bounty on Spider-Man, prompting a coordinated attack by a range of villains including Prowler, Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, Tombstone, Jackal, Chameleon, Black Cat, and Hobgoblin. Spider-Man initially defeats each villain individually with help from street-level heroes like Daredevil, Hawkeye, and Ant-Man. However, a rift forms between Spider-Man and his allies due to his relationship with Black Cat, leading him to abandon his friends.
The villains then unite and launch a coordinated attack, nearly killing Spider-Man. Barely escaping, Spider-Man bonds with the Venom symbiote, gaining enhanced powers and insights into the impending multiversal incursions. Empowered by the symbiote, Spider-Man defeats his enemies and confronts Fisk with a stern ultimatum about targeting his friends. The plot thickens with the revelation that Ned is actually the Hobgoblin, who, driven by revenge, transforms into Demogoblin using dark multiversal energies. Additionally, Jackal’s experiment with multiversal energies creates clones of Spider-Man, leading to the emergence of Miles Morales as a new Spider-Man, adding a new layer to the conflict. Doom is revealed to be the benefactor behind Fisk.

I expect Marvel to reintroduce MJ and Ned to Peter in this next film, but I really wish they wouldn't. I want to see the down-and-out version of Peter... living in a crappy apartment with no friends. I want to see him meet and fall for Black Cat. In the 5th movie, I want him to meet Ned again through the Bugle. Then in the 6th movie, I want Ned to become Hobgoblin, AND I want everyone's memories to come back.

They could have easily established the sinister six in the last years. It's a real shame what they have done to the best superhero. The only (or most accurate one) was Andrew Garfield s take on spidey.
The spell does rework in the person who casts it (Dr strange). Remember he said to Wong about the other spell he cast before, but Wong didn't remember, and Dr. Strange still did...?

If hickman isn't on the Fantastic 4 set... my expectations of the movie will go from a 4/10 because of how many main characters they have to introduce without killing including: dr doom, galactus, silver surfers, the 4 that we don't really care about because the kids are there too. With hickman running things, best comic movie every if not top 10 of all movies. Just copy and paste it

Great Video I hope that Spider Man 4 will be grounded but put Kingpin aside in till Spider Man 5 so I can watch the movie one more time before we reach a darker version of Spider Man in Spider Man 5 and instead of Kingpin introduce Green Goblin to the MCU and set up Oscorp for future Spider Man movies and so we can see how Harry Osborn and Peter Parker will interact or make it about Venom to put all the romuors aside that Venom will be in the MCU and Venom will fight Spider Man so fans can get what they want to see in the MCU

I'm still a bit on the fence about Spider-Man 4 potentially being another multiverse movie, but I'm excited that we're at least getting a new director. I honestly think Cretton is an excellent choice. He'll definitely take the action and swinging scenes to a whole other level. Still hoping that it's a more grounded story than NWH. Either way, he's a very good choice.
