Im really fucking not man i bought a 2015 jeep 2 weeks ago got title in mail TODAY and cranked it up 30 minutes after checking mail and receiving title all the sudden i got every light you can imagine on dash it was ticking bad and diagnostic said low oil pressure then i got notification on dash saying service transmission
Truck jolted and engine died abruptly. Dashboard showed LOW OIL PRESSURE. Engine won’t restart. Engine Oil level on dipstick shows full. Truck had NEW Oil & Filter change less than 3K before this happened. This video gives me 2 areas of concern that I’ll address. Thank you.
A crooked mechanic made me rebuild the entire engine when in fact it was the oil pump that had the problem.

Yeah I went to Toyota to have a key made. They did there so many point check that they do. I had no issues other than needing a key replaced when I went in. I got home my vehicle was pouring oil. The sob ice picked my gasket. Also I noticed on the way home this irritating noise from underneath. Two heat shields on my exhaust pipe had been loosened.
I'm still hoping to run into the so called mechanic when he's not on private property.
He said I needed $5,000 worth of work on my exhaust on his little work sheet. I went home spent 30 minutes under it and problem solved.

Low oil pressure does not always mean bad oil pump! Most of the time (not all the time) it's because the engine has lose bearing clearances typically.
Or the oil is too heavy
So if that were the case would that mean that the engine would burn a lot of oil?
I just found out the hard way 😢 My s2000 spun a bearing I think.

What if the oil gauge is at zero and slowly climbs to normal? Wld that indicate bad oil pump it oil pressure sensor?
Buy a oil pressure tester for $40 and look up the specifications and compare.
Hi Everyone, I have 08 Pontiac G6 2.4 engine. I have Replaced sensor after sensor. The latest is the Cam shaft position sensor. But I haven't replaced the back one yet just the front. It is still idles rough, And have Engine noise whenever I idle, Will It stop when I put the other Cam shaft Position Sensor On the back Where it goes ? Thank you if anyone Knows what I should do.
Well i had a timing chain job done 2 months ago causing low oil pressure. They fixed it paid $3,000 and now i have low oil pressure again. Don’t oil pumps rarely go bad? Could they have missed bits of timing chain plastic guide in the pan? cause they changed all that
My vehicle is old, it's a Toyota L invented in 1978. The oil pressure when engine running is sometimes less than 20 psi. The temperature pressure guage is high as 170. Can oil pump be repaired?
It can be replaced it can sometimes be a hassle if you’re not confident in your abilities I’d recommend a shop

So my oil pressure is slightly high is not near the H but the needle isnt where is should be. Maybe i should just do a oil change to fix the issue? Its a 2012 mustang with 140k miles . What if we set the valve to work in the maximum position so the oil pump also performs on max pressure? I have an Opel Astra K 1.6 cdti that has problems with the chain tensioner and inadequate lubrication of the chain. In order for the chain tensioner to work at the maximum pressure, the oil pump needs to create that maximum pressure. This pressure is regulated by the oil pressure valve. What is a drawback if we set the valve to operate in the maximum position all the time?
My 05 town and country 3.8 has 360,000 miles but I bought it new and always changed the oil at 4500 miles.The oil light just started coming on after it warms up but only at idle. It goes off when accelerating and at cruising speed. Any ideas ?Thanks

Not a bad one, but is engine minor viberation (cut off) on certain speeds is due to oil pump? The cut off feels like bad spark plugs, I've changed them with the coils but issue remains. Any advise?
It might be worth installing a mechanical gauge to see what the pressure is. You might have low pressure, then get a lot of valve noise because the hydraulic lifters require oil pressure to work correctly.
Does it have a distributor if it does it could be bad

Any updates? My 2013 Kia optima does the same and I changed the oil pressure sensor but it’s still the same. I don’t wanna replace the oil pump only for the problem to come back.

Yes it could. Here are some other things that can cause that too: faulty oil pressure sensor, clogged oil filter, clogged oil pickup tube.
I'm having this exact problem with my 08 mustang and now it won't start...would that be the same answer for me as well? Plus the increasingly horrendous noise coming from what I assume is the headers or pulleys or intake, and I'm the first person to be aware of the cabin air filter...

Temperature looks good after an hour of driving
Runs pretty good on flat surfaces...except hills
My problem is that
- the scanner plug doesn't work. (Can't read any codes)
- I Just found that they disconnect the oil sensor or knock sensor
- It looses power after warmed up going up a hill.
- it makes a rattling noise by the driver side of the engine.
I m fixing to run all types of tests ....
Oil pressure , engine pressure (compression)

Try replacing your pressure sending unit, cheap part and pretty easy to do, even if it’s not the problem it can’t hurt to try
I've notice that I'm getting good oil persure I get sticky lifters
2017 RT 5.7 hemi low oil pressure when engine is cold it drops small rev and it will pick it back up and once engine is heated up oil pressure doesn’t drop at all. It’s not sensor and it’s not engine sludge. I did engine flush and oil came out real clean all oem filter and Mobil 1 oil was added still same issue
Ended up fixing it by adding a thicker oil no issues now
I have a 2016 dodge charger 5.7 hemi I had mines checked because its making a birdie chirping noise so I had a diagnostic done and the oil pressure sensor came up so they change the oil and said I didn’t need it but it’s still making the noise. Any suggestions what that could be?
@@patriciajones1353 wouldn’t be able to tell you with that but I tried a engine flush before changing the oil and not sure if that’s why my engine is so quite but it’s worth a try! These get engine sludge a lot so I’ll start by doing that! Hope it helps! I used liqui moly engine flush

I heard a noise coming from the engine kind of like a knocking they said it was my timing chain I got it replaced still making the noise is the oil pump should have been checked at this time he said it soundes great run great.
Low oil pressure can cause the self-adjusting hydraulic lifters to not have the correct pressure, and then they knock. Noise might go away once the engine is warmer, and the oil is circulating more.

My 2000 Ford ranger runs fine but once it warms up I hear a knocking at low rpms when the engine has a load. Ant suggestions?
Try some heavier oil like 10w-30 or 40 and Lucas oil stabilizer.
@@vassilyknigge850 It turned out to be a water pump. The impellers we're almost all gone so it knocked once it got hot. Somehow the temp gauge didn't show it was hot.

Isn’t high pressure because too much oil has been put in. Flooding the engine.
Figured out it was just the valley seal oil kept burning the sensor up

My car knocking after starting for 3 secs
try using a better oil filter with a silicone anti drainback valve and the proper oil type and weight. Also, make sure your tuneup maintenance is up to date.
