    Fender's new Mustang GTX 50 modelling amp packs a serious wallop. If features most of Fender's own amp models along with tons of other classics and generous serving of pre and post effects, mono and stereo. In the 50W version that I tried you'll get a Celestion speaker to deliver the goods or you can opt for stereo balanced or unbalanced lines out. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity take care of remote operation and updates and it's light. I love that. Sound? I think it's very good. Easily good enough for recording or stage purposes.

    I still use my original Mustang 3 for band practice. They are great little amps. Great demo that isn't filled with too much filler. You dive in and show us the amp rather than talk about it for 10 minutes before a note is even played. Love your demos. Thanks for the great content.

    oh my god. This is the first time I see how the amp actually works with the foot pedals. I might seriously think about getting this amp now that I have a clearer picture of what it is capable of. I didn't realize you could visually see the pedals in the application and actually turn the knobs to the desired position. I was going for a standard amp with a distortion, digital delay and chorus pedal setup. This looks like everything all in one.

    Wonderful tones and playing. I think for home playing and recording these amps are ideal. The Boss or this or an amp modeller like a Helix are the best options for the basement jammers like me. I have tube amps but they only sound right when they are working hard which I can’t do at home. I haven’t played my tube amps since getting my Helix. These sound cool too so I may get one just for fun.

    I just bought a GTX 50 as my first amp for my first electric guitar, a lefty Strat Player Series here in the states. Should I wait for the foot controls? Do they complicate things or the opposite? I'm a total beginner.

    • @wyattonline
      @wyattonline 3 роки тому

      In my opinion, the foot controller for this amp is mostly meant for two things: 1. switching between setups (presets) during a performance, or 2. Looping. This amp is controllable from the panel, so you don't need a foot switch for switching during practice. You won't need to add a foot switch until you start performing live, or in the studio. Looping is something used during a certain kind of performance, where you build up layers of sounds. That's down the road for you
      too.

  • @claudiotacconi7763

    I have this amp and the pedal since more than a year ago. Here my view so far:
    PROS: 200 presets with endless options in effects and cabinets. Good sound, and good connectivity via cables.
    CONS: wireless connectivity really sucks (bluetooth and wifi). The app does not exist for Mac or Windows. Pedal is noisy when pressing the buttons, and difficult to navigate the presets (option "bank up" requires lot of time to jump from one preset to a distant one in the list, ex. from present 12 to preset 85).
    Summary: still good price/value option compared to similar other products, but being a Fender product I was expecting much more.
