I feel identified with you because I’d live with anxiety since I was 19, now I am 29 and smoking was the trigger for this, the last time I tried to quit I suffered the biggest panic attack I have ever had and that made me smoke again. I know now that only people who have anxiety fully understand how difficult it is and how it change your life, we plan everything, it takes us a lote of time to take big decisions and we are really different in so many ways to other people just because we have anxiety. I started using CBD on a vaper a month ago when I was very anxious at night and it improves mi sleeping time. Thank for sharing you story I’m sure everyone with anxiety here feel happy to know that there are more people who go through this. Sorry for my bad English.

DieWob vaping is poison. It also turns into more of an addiction because you vape 10x more a day than you would smoke a cigarette . At least with a cigarette it burns out and you have a little time in between, vaping is nonstop. Both are toxic and controlling. Im 6 days nicotine free and depressed/anxious but i know it will get better. Just warning you dont fall for the ecig hype it was so much harder to kick than real cigs.

Its just 4 days guys just 4 days , then everything is downhill, everyday will be easier then before after a month you won’t even remember . It is all in your brain ! This was interesting for me to watch because my smoking and anxiety were definitely related too. I didn't even really know I had anxiety, because I think every time I started to feel it, I would just go out and have a cigarette. And that would calm me down. Then I also quit smoking without really meaning to, I had oral surgery and wasn't supposed to smoke afterwards for the healing process, so I just ended up quitting.
After that I started having really bad panic attacks, and I didn't even know what they were, I thought maybe I was dying! I felt suffocated, like my throat was closing in and the air was being pushed out of my lungs, then I would start to hyperventilate, and my hands would cramp up so tight to where I couldn't use them anymore and my feet until the muscles in my whole body would start cramping really bad, and I would be shaking, sweating, heart racing, etc. I was terrified and ended up going to the ER twice, the first time they ran a bunch of tests and didn't talk about anxiety at all, and the second time they told me it was a panic attack.
I got some medication I can take as needed if I start to feel another panic attack coming on, or just anxiety in general, but also since then I found that I had to quit drinking alcohol and drinking coffee because they were both making it a lot worse. I've been trying to exercise a lot more too, unfortunately it hasn't been every day, but I will try more now after watching this. I'll also check out that book. The medication helps a lot but I don't want to have to rely on it forever. Best of luck on your journey, I hope your anxiety situation keeps improving and you're able to keep making steps to do everything you can for it!

Congrats for your new office and for stopping the cigarette! And Happy New Year! :D
I used to have spasmophilie attacks, like what you're describing. it could happen anywhere and sometimes was so strong that I would end up vomiting or passing out. Once it was really strong and so painful I though I was having a heart problem :D
I also stopped smoking (and drinking and smoking other "things") because of panic attacks, but I planned it and just stopped. It wasn't a struggle, because whenever I thought about smoking, I would just tell myself "well, I don't smoke any more so.. I just won't smoke"^^ ( you know like if you feel like smoking in a plane where you still have 10h of flight and well you have the choice of letting go of the feeling f "want" and be fine or you can choose to stress and feel terrible by fighting the need) and that was it.
I didn't have to quite the habits that people create with smoking, like café-clope (for me it was tea). I would just dissociate it from cigarette. As if cigarette never existed in my life before. Not fighting it, just letting go of the habit and creating a new one.
Talking about creating new habits : Have you even listened or read things about the work of Marisa Peer?
She's doing what she calls "rapid transformational therapy" and it's something to reprogram your subconscious and to let go of old damaging patterns (emotional habits: like having anxiety or having a bad/distorted vision of ourself - or physical "programs": like smoking, eating disorders, alcohol...etc.). If you don't know her, you could watch some of her videos on youtube. don't just watch one, but a few to really get the concepts and see if it could help you in anyway. :)

Hi Andrea! I just stumbled across your You Tube Channel. This is the first video that I have watched. I can so identify with your story. You told about your panic attack leading you to quit smoking. For me, it was a similar story. At work I went outside and smoked on my break. When I came back in I passed out and had a concussion from hitting my head on the floor. That was my body telling me to quit smoking right now! And I did. That was in January and I haven't smoked in four months. This video is from three years ago. Are you still doing this You Tube Channel? I hope so. I'd love to get a response from you and find out how you are doing now?

I can relate myself with your history, I've been smoking for about 27 years, and about 2 months ago something weird happened to me that threw me on my bed for like about a week feeling sick, and it happened right after smoking my last cigarette of that day, and till this day, I'm still trying to figure out what happened to me that afternoon when I felt I was going to die.😥
I always thought I had a very low willpower and was weak to quit smoking, in fact I thought I was never going to quit smoking, but thank God he helped me go through it 🙏. This is my second month feeling free of being trapped on nicotine. Still struggling with some weird feelings such as anxiety, bad mood, fatigue, neck tightness, chest oppression, stomach tightness, and the weirdest feeling is that sometimes I just want to run to an emergency room to feel safe 😂.
I would reallylike to know if this is normal.

    Much love to you.

I never had panic or anxiety attacks before. I gave up smoking after 50 years(yes 50) almost 3 weeks ago. The first week was good. I felt calm and in a good mood. I have some Nicotine lozenges just in case I had cravings but had hardly used them. Then out of the blue about a week ago, I started having insomnia issues which seems to have triggered panic/anxiety attacks as well. I found that using Melatonin before I go to bed helps. If I'm busy or at work I might feel a bit jittery now and then but nothing like I do when I try to sleep at night. I'm hoping this is temporary and ends soon. I'm not crazy about the idea of having to deal with doctors and be on medication for this.

Im 63 smoking for 30 years and I tried to quit several times. My anxiety/panic attacks started out of the blue about 4 weeks ago. I have never experienced anything like this in my life time. When I start to feel anxious and trying to catch my breath Id go into fight or flight mode. Thats when I decided to quit smoking. A Dr prescribed me Buspirone 10mg and Hydroxyzine 25mg they have helped somewhat Im not feeling so anxious when I have to try and catch my breath. But, my thoughts about having nicotine withdrawals while Im dealing with this Anxiety is probably bad timing. Im wondering if part of the way Im feeling is nicotine withdrawal. Im thinking of trying some Nicotine Gum.
Id really appreciate anyones thoughts on this. The Dr's are still trying to figure whats going on with me as to why Im having Anxiety/Panic attacks all of the sudden. I plan to keep you posted once I find out anything. Andrea I loved your video.

I am 51 and have been smoking since I was 14 years old. A few days ago I got a really bad Flu(Diarreha, Vommiting, Fever, Fluid in Lungs, ect.) and becuase the smoking is starting to take it toll on my arteries in my chest(hardening of the arteries) I had an AWFUL time getting thru the Flu. I told God that if you get me thru this I am definately gping to stop smoking. I've been wanting to quit for the last year becuase I can tell my arteries are hardening from the smoking but I just kept putting it off for another day. Today is my 3rd day without smoking and I got the Nicotine patches from the Drugstore. I dont care how bad the withdrawls are becuase they can't be anywhere as bad as trying to battle a harsh flu when my body has been battered by years of smoking. There will come a point where you will *have* to quit or you could die.

    • @crud625
      @crud625 Рік тому

Supposedly this is all part of the withdrawal process and it depends on the individual. I expected this to happen within the first week quitting but it took longer to hit. I'm using 2mg Rogue lozenges. I don't use the patch because it's on all day and takes a while to get out of the system. The lozenges are more of a quick way to get nicotine and it doesn't last that long. But then I get concerned that maybe I shouldn't use them at all. Another thing is to cut back on caffeine intake by about 50%. They say caffeine hits you harder and lasts longer when you are in nicotine withdrawal.

So I made the choice to quit after 10 years, I'm 2 days without a cigarette. Let me tell you, I'm in hell. Anxiety and panic are crashing at me like hurricane waves and this fatigue is terrible. I've been napping on and off just to be jolted awake by anxiety.

Too many jump cuts in this video. Just film continuously.

Aaaaarrgh! had to stop watching because the uploader kept cutting the video after every single sentence. Unwatchable! Why do people do that? No professional TV show does it, so why do some UA-camrs? Jusy don't... it absolutely kills the message
