Pretty much every spring there are people who get into trouble going on the ice too late in the spring. They're usually either fishing, skating, skiing or just taking a short cut through the ice and some end up drowning.
OMG I LOVE Calvin and Hobbs!!!!! One of my favorite cartoons of all time ❤❤ I've also beet to Helsinki. Loved the cathedral. We had the fortune of being able to sitt and listen to the organ player rehersing and OMG the power ot that thing! It is quite common in Sweden to take the cruise ship between Stockholm and Helsinki. A party cruise! As always you deliver a video with fun facts and alot of food! You should have a t-shirt saying: " Bergen project. Fun facts and alot of food! And I swear like a sailor." 😂😁 Be safe
Oooo fellow C&H lover?! Awesome! Didn’t know there was a booze cruise between the two but I guess that makes sense 😂 You’re so lucky to have heard the organ player! What a treat! 🤩 So happy you like the fun facts 😁 it’s the part of city tours that I’m really loving while editing! ☺️ Have a lovely Monday Björn 🥳
Nice video and I was glad to see that you had good time in our capital. The reason that the sea can be frozen in wintertime is because the Baltic sea is not that salty like the oceans. Its freezing point is higher.
In December 2010 the dock and river here in Grimsby froze deep enough to walk on, most years they freeze but not to that extent, I don’t mind the cold most days I wear shorts, gotta run cold to be comfortable
We’re Mexican and going on March 2025, we are a little , just a little scared of how cold it will be, since we live in an area where summer is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit every single day even nights 😐… but we are definitely more excited than scared! It looks beautiful! 🥶❤️🇫🇮
For us natives it would be shocking not to see the sea frozen solid in the middle the winter. So much so that they used to service islands like Suomenlinna by driving lorries over the ice. Don't think they get that solid ice around Helsinki that much nowadays.
lol, helsinki is considered dangerous in finland. imagine what it feels like is some bac kwater city in finland - you leave the phone on the table and come back a week later and its still where you left it and you feel embarrassed because you left it.
@@NatashaBergen I do agree with your initial statement. I can honesty say that I prefere any arm over all arms. (In my first comment, I forgot the little smiley to clearly indicate a joke. My intent was not to be a -messerschmitt- besserwisser.)
As someone who is currently on a ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki this video will cone in handy for when I land tomorrow!
Welcome to Finland Sam. I hope you enjoy your stay here 🙂

😂 the dad joke got a giggle! Yay! 🤩
@@NatashaBergen comes for our beautiful host and her adventures, stays for the dad jokes 🤣
The Baltic sea has a relatively low content off salt. Thats why it is more icy.
Oooo love this fun fact thank you Elisabeth! 🙌
Nice vlog ☺️✨
Nice video Natasha - even though it looks like it’s very cold! I think I’ll visit in summer 😂
Noo Natasha!! You're too kind that you mentioned me in your video... ❤ much too kind!!

Haha... foggy. As a finn i can confirm that you need to get use that by haveing time here. It is the original- -long drink weather in Finland.😂
Very interesting, thank you. What time of year did you go, it looks very cold
It was April believe it or not 😅
