- How to do a easy 1911 trigger job and reduce the trigger pull from 4,5 lbs to 2,5 lbs.
2,5 Ibs. trigger pull is for target shooting, it is not for a carrying gun.

Safe, simple, very low cost and very effective! Thank you for posting this!

Same thing happened for me with my Norinco 1911, the pull is now still a bit heavier than I'd like but it's certainly smooth & very reliable. Further breaking in will be done by shooting the pistol some more.
Yes the trigger will be lighter after 1000 shot.
Good job!👍

Mike, thank you for the video. Well explained. You keep it succinct and right on the money. One thing I would like for you to consider is to point out that this kind of trigger job is not for everyone. Unless this is specifically a range gun, I wouldn't be comfortable carrying a gun with such a light trigger. As was mentioned in another comment, wear should also be accounted for, to ensure continued safe operation of the gun. I'm always on the fence with trigger jobs. While they definitely improve "schootability", I also like to master a gun as it comes. To me the trigger does not make that much of a difference in two-handed shooting, as long as the setup is decent at least. One handed precision shooting is a different story, though. So it depends on the circumstances, I guess.
Hi WJB, you're right a carrying gun most have a trigger pull over 5-6 lb. I do this video when I got a request. If you've seen any of mine videos, I never talk about gun safety or shows the gun is empty, if you are gun owner you most be responsible and know how to handle a gun and know a trigger pull on 2,5 Ib. is not a carrying gun. Happy New Year.
If you scared say you scared.
I definitely am! Ya know the way guns just be going off all the time. I don't even keep mine in the house, they got their own separate house bc I can't trust em.
