This is a quick video looking at the Ryobi battery powered backpack sprayer versus a regular manual pump backpack sprayer. I am a huge fan of the Ryobi battery powered backpack sprayer.

Was that teejet tip pretty much plug and play on the ryobi? Did you have to buy any sort of adapters or a new cap for it or anything?
It was super easy, barely and inconvenience. Plug and play!
@@ryandelk04 sweet! I just bought the Hart battery sprayer from Walmart and learned it's basically the same as the Ryobi and even made by Ryobi. I'm going to pick up the tip you have and maybe an air induction one which I guess are better for soil based applications due to bigger droplets. I appreciate your input!
I have that exact model Chapin and used it the past 8 years. It works well, but I think I'm going to get that Ryobi. The constant pumping in 100 degree heat makes it 3 times as much work.
Yes, the Chapin certainly works well but the pumping bro lol!!
I just picked up a Ryobi battery edger so it’s made me think about their sprayer. Tired of dragging those hoses all over throwing down apps!
I still keep my hose end for some apps but the battery backpack is a worthy investment! How’s the yard looking so far this year?
ryandelk04 i zinged my Bermuda pretty well trying to kill dallisgrass when it was transitioning. It ran in a few spots. So I’ve been working to get it filled back in. Healthy Bermuda looks awesome though. My tall fescue in the back isn’t dormant yet and still thick so that’s a plus!
Healthy Bermuda looks awesome and so does healthy fescue, and it allows for great striping too! I hope your Bermuda recovers quickly!!
Good video, nice lawn. I was looking at the Milwaukee but I can’t find a reason to justify paying double the price as just a home use sprayer.
Agreed, the Ryobi with the $5 upgraded tip does a great job.
Thanx for the review. Convinced me to buy one.
Thanks for the feedback! I have really enjoyed the ryobi!
me too, just ordered
Great video. Inspired me to buy both!
Lol nice!!
How much will 4 gallon do? Nonstop walking? 1/8 acre? 1/4 acre 1/2??
4 gallons normally does about 4K sqf for me.
Great video, did you do the bucket test? How was when put your weed killer?
I haven’t done a bucket test. I’m using a manual sprayer for any weed control and the Ryobi for fertilizer.
@@ryandelk04 ok, your yard looks great. 👍
Cool video mate. Do you know if the handle and hose on the Ryobi is replaceable/upgradeable?
How many minutes do each use for 1 gallon ? that can determine how long and how slow or fast you have to walk to apply products. My Echo hand pump takes 4 minutes to spray 1 gallon . thats crawling on a lawn .to cover 1000 sq ft
🌞Yeah, since I've gotten a battery powered sprayer my old manual pump is collecting dust. 👍
Same here lol
Glad I watched this. Almost bought a pump.
Nice demo/review.. Can you easily remove the Ryobi filter in bottom of tank and clean? Have you sprayed Humic 12 with the Ryobi?
The filter is easily cleaned/removed if I recall correctly. Yes I spray Humic all the time through it. The only time I had major issues is when I failed to test mix a few things I was combining and it started jelling up but that was a Ryan issue, not a Ryobi one lol
Great Video! Thanks for uploading. Can't wait to see more 😊
Thanks for watching and supporting!
Does the Ryobi come with a 150 psi, I like to have a long reach when I'm toxic chemical to avoid contact, especially eyes? Does the Ryobi come in a 4 Gal?
That is the 4 gallon but I would not trust it for toxic chemicals, it’s all good for the yard stuff I use but I wouldn’t try it with toxic/dangerous items.
😎✌️ hey man I was just talking about this Ryobi BP sprayer awesome stuff 💪
I really like the Ryobi sprayer!! Makes it easy easy
Nice review. I ended up with a Chapin homepro for $30. For that price, I couldn’t pass it up.
Thanks man, for that price I don’t blame you! Hope your yard is doing great !
grass looks great ryan, what type?
Thanks! It’s just “Builder Bermuda “ AKA whatever the builder installed lol
thank you for the review! I have 2 gal handheld Ryobi battery sprayer and tried with 2Ah battery. I swapped out the nozzle to wider range one. Then I saw the deposit range gets narrow right after I trigger the lever. it seems like I have to release the trigger to build up the pressure and keep doing this process constantly.. 🤔 is it supposed to do that? not sure why it is doing that with mine. your Ryobi's sprayer deposits consistently.
What type of grass do you have? Looks really healthy even though its short
I have Bermuda grass in GA. I cut it from 5/8”-1”+.
@@ryandelk04 thanks for the info. I have st. Augustine here in Austin and it has to stay tall to stay green. Looks like I'll be switching
Is there a more misting spray? I am looking to buy the ryobi but would like a smaller mist.
You can buy replacement tips from 3rd parties to give all kinds of spray patterns
Ryobi recently released an Electrostatic sprayer that sprays as a positively charged electrons (better sticking) in mist form. Very pricey compared to their other sprayers and so far it is online purchase i think.
Have you sprayed commercial grade chemicals out of it?
I’ve only sprayed Lesco, YardMastery, and a couple others. Not sure about commercial grades.
I think dewalt should Also make a v20 sprayer
Nice comparison bro!
Thank you sir!
Would this work for foaming a car with car soap with the ryobi
Great question but I have no idea lol
Have you run biostems through the Ryobi? Looking to pick one up , but worried about clogging with the nxt mixes.
Yes, I do. Just upgrade the tip ($5) and it will be great!
Great! Any recommendations for tips?
@@ryandelk04 I also just put in the order. Had 15% off from HD so no better time to order while it is in stock. Now I just need to buy a tip. Is it a Tspray tip I assume?
The actual link to the tip I got should be in the description of this video. Go ahead and order it. You won’t regret it!
@@ryandelk04 doh! Sorry I didn't see that up above. I ordered the sprayer and the tip. Looking forward to using it this week.
I’ve been happy with the 2 gallon Ryobi so far. I used the default tip, but definitely need that fan tip. You need to seal your driveway by the way 😉
You know what, you might be right about the driveway!! Thanks for the tip!
I hate the tip on the Ryobi 2-gallon sprayer, it's either pin-point or wide, no in between. Also there is not enough spray coming out. I wish I could find a better nozzle.
Pro1er change that tip out for $5 and it changes everything!
ryandelk04 do you have source for the tip on the 2 gallon? It’s different than the 4.
On The Hunt www.sprayerdepot.com/products/xr11004-vs-xr-teejet-extended-range
How loud is the motor while spraying?
You can definitely hear it but it’s not “loud” to me at all. I tested the dB level with my Apple Watch right up next to it and it was 70dB, to put that in perspective, when I talk at a normal tone of voice my watch says anywhere from 69-80dB. My mower was 94 dB at idle.
(Hopefully this helps?)
Can you adjust the psi/bar on the ryobi?
Got the Ryobi on sale at home depot for $100
Just do the $5 tip upgrade and you’ll be set!!
@@ryandelk04 just purchased. Did you have to calibrate the sprayer tip?
the Ryobi sprayer must be very popular. they are sold out.
Is that a new music track?
Good ol’ iMovie music bank lol
How far can it shoot with its regular tips?
The regular tip is not horrible, it will just clog up more easily. The upgraded tip is only $5 too
@@ryandelk04 I don't see how it goes on. Have the replacement, but it won't fit. Wish I could share a picture. The threads are not the same
Lol battery powered for the win!! Lol I’m just a little lazy tho 😁
Same here lol!
I had to subscribe to break the 666
Agreed and thank you
Was gonna buy a Milwaukee until I saw this
Milwaukee has pretty bad reviews. (as a Milwaukee fanboy)
The link homedepo dont work anymore.
Thank you, I updated the link. There is a newer version out now. Thank you for the heads up!
