I think it's a three-way tie between gen 9, gen 5 and gen 3. Gen 9 because of all the Paradox pokemon, three of the swords of ruin, Flamigo, Farigiraf, Ogerpon and Archaludon. Gen 3 because of Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Salamence, Metagross, Pelipper, Torkoal, Milotic, Latios, and the mega forms of Gardevoir, Mawile, and Medicham Gen 4 might be up there, thanks to Cresselia, Heatran, Garchomp, Rotom Wash, Gastrodon, and Bronzong

Mewtwo. Basically every development of the game has nerfed it, outside of it's megas. New types, Special split, Bug/Ghost moves existing, other Pokemon getting actual Abilities, better psychic types being released (Calyrex-S). It also doesn't use Dynamax or Tera well either.
When Wolfe said most nerfed pokemon I literally immediately said “Smeargle… and I guess Darkrai by extension” lol But also Zacian, Greninja, and Cinderace were pretty hard nerfed imo
@orangeoblivion Yeah, but it’s not just power creep. It’s also the mechanics of the game as well. Gen 2 introduced 2 new types to resist (or immune to!) it and almost halved it's special defence. Gen 3 gave abilities to Pokemon and mewtwo got... pressure. The phys/special split was largely good (M2 got Aura Sphere), but U-turn was bad. Hidden abilities were great for many Pokemon, and M2 got... Unnerve.
Nothing, Hawlucha has a rivalry with that Conkeldurr and Ursaring in terms of being an alpha in that forest where it was found. Hawlucha was more a showoff at a time.
i've really gotta hand it to the editors of these videos, they are always top notch and clean. Also, love the "editor's note" comments every now and then, they are always great! Keep up the great work Wolfey and crew!
Fun fact:Unova is heaven for bug types because that's where OP bug types start appear like Volcarona,Scolipede,Leavanny,Crustle,Galvantula and the first ever mythical Pokemon with bug types Genesect

I freaking love Gen 5. As a player since Yellow, I remember getting bored in Gen 4 with the limited options for new mons. Unova was such a breath of fresh air, and so many pokemon were viable. Not all, of course, but you could make most of them work. I remember being shocked at how polarizing it was at the time, and I'm happy to see the internet is now mostly on board the Gen 5 train.
