I’m running a 6’3 rn with 78PD and 65 block and that’s it… not seeing much of a difference for myself and now much more of a threat on offense with a 92three ball and 90Driving Dunk 👀.. I agree with you but also there’s a a lot of diff ways to play defense and still be effective. Is running 91 Steal worth it as a PG in 5s if you’re still getting more fouls than steals … 🤷🏻♂️

I just made a defensive menace sg and hes tough my steal i put enough to get intercepter silver and bronze glove but my chasedown is gold and anchor as well. They key is just like u eluded to in your video, u must know what and what not to sacrifice 💯.

I knew all of this because I'm a builder fiend but its so helpful for those who dont know and it was nice to have many of my thoughts on certain attribute sweet spots confirmed. Again, really great video! Honestly the best of its type Ive seen. Everything you went over was accurate. (I do enjoy higher interior d but agree that it isnt fully necessary and 61 is fine) Free throw IS underated and love hearing a content creator say to put it up!
6’8 seems to be the threshold for the best “all-around” builds (you see a lot of comp teams even running with 6’8 Center) bc it’s a cutoff for a lot of playmaking/perimeter badges. The next cutoff is 6’9 bc you must be 6’9 or shorter to have access to the majority of signature dunks & jump shots, but also badges like Fast Feet, Clamps, and Speed Booster. So there’s a huge incentive to be 6’9 & shorter, which leads me to believe that there HAS to be something special about going 6’10 & above that threshold. There’s gotta be something that shows up on the court & not paper - whether that’s unique animations that are reserved only for big men, enhanced defensive capabilities, etc, bc otherwise you’d be doing your build a disservice going 6’10+ My buddies & I are 2K old head/addicts & have been wondering why that 6’10 height seems to be a badge/signature animation killer Could you dive deeper into that 6’10 cutoff/threshold & make a video about it?
Watch LAKER FAN. His whole game is based around his 6’10 Point Center. You lose the jump shot bases for sure but at 6’10 you get BIG MAN dunks/animations but you’re still fast and what not. Do you have a video on shorter player builds? Every 2k I like to make myself lol, so I’m 5’11 PG 3PT shot Hunter in 2k24. In the past I was always a 5’11 Playmaking shot creator. This year is a lot tougher for short player builds.
My SG plays on the shortest build you can make rn with 98three ball and 65DD and it’s hilarious. He shreds but nah I’ve never run one/made a video on one

I spent (too?) many hours in the builder, and I'm done for a min, especially after a bug/glitch ate my whole row of builds, but mostly bc my initial build is solid and the only real obstacles to winning in the Rec are just higher skilled players (devotees vs. my casual approach) and goofy teammates. That said, this seems like a real proper video for those who are tryna limit how much $ drips out of their pockets & into 2k's coffers.
I got a 89 pass acc on my lamelo build for the halliburton package. I never really had pass ac on my other builds so running the 89 feels so clean and fast
Appreciate this a ton. Biggest issue imo is the fact that i cannot see what you unlock animstion wise at each level. My first build i was one off contact dunk packages and it annoyed me 🙃
You just got a sub! Although I know myself most of this tips, some I just learn (like the 36 driving dunk). I also forward it to my friends since I always make my builds knowing what I do or need to do base on my friends playstyle & mine. Even though they don't LOL.

NICE, Eh... idk man. To each their own. I'm all about convenience. So for ME PERSONALLY. When I want to make a new build or buy new drip or make new custom shoes, if I don't already have the VC then I just buy it. I don't ever "save" VC per se.. That's me though. I also spend within my own means as well. Any money I spend on something just in general is money that I have to spend and am not affected by it being gone.
87+ pass is non negotiable for me on any guard/wing build. my center has 92 pass. The only build I created with 77 pass was my lock, and i recreated it with 87 pass and sacrificed some finishing.
I used to say the same!! I still love 87 pass but like I mention, as a PG and how expensive it is.. it all just depends. I can be a better 2 Way if I have less pass and I’m still just as efficient with passing. All just preference!!

Nah. I usually make builds much heavier and have 0 issues. You can see my 2-Way ROTY build video and go to later in the video to my higher weight less accel version and that’s the build I properly learned mid range hunting/speed boosting and I felt so fast and it was much heavier with 84 strength I believe.

Just depends what you want elsewhere. Do you want a lot of dunk cuz that’ll limit what you can invest or do you want higher shooting? It really just depends. Checkout my JIMMY BUTLER or my newer 2WAY 6’9 G video actually. That’s newer so I know more in the builder and you can make that at 6’8 or 6’9 if you want it doesn’t make much difference 👌
this video really gave me some relief about my build thanks a lot, we have pretty much the same thresholds/principals when making builds. I have one question because i slightly regretted going up to that 87 PD for gold challenger when i was at 85. since ppl said gold and silver were the same essentially, is that true? bc couldve lowered my wingspan one and got the hof catch and shoot and gold whistle if so. also is good slithery noticeably better than silver for layups?
Challenger is a GOATED badge and when I can invest points to put it up I do. I love that badge. Is it the same.. idk but I personally believe in the badge and investing in the points. I think you also get gold workhorse out of that 87 and that’s a good one too 👌 Idk if I’ve ever had gold slithery tbh. I think that’s a good badge for sure but not as OP as fearless finisher, scooper, or even float game. In my personal opinion/experience. Catch N Shoot and whistle are GREAT BADGES. I don’t think you lose either way I think you just gotta know your play style and just choose either which do you do more of or which do you just wana invest into.

@@alexodeh5894 85 absolutely viable still. It’s all about being aggressive. Is 91 better? Yes. .. but 85 is plenty. My SG on my team can run a build with bronze badges only on steal and he’ll get more steals than me in a game just because of how aggressive he is and he’s really good at playing angles for bumps. So 85 totally enough. 91 lay is apparently really really good but for me personally I’m fine at 87 for lebron layup package and if I can then 88 and then I’d go 91 steal but that’s just me. It doesn’t make it right or wrong or bad or good you know 🤙🏽
Been running a 60 pass accuracy since season 2 have not regretted it one bit my first build had a 75 pass accuracy all my bills since has had 60. I settled on a 60 because when I was running my career on Hall of Fame difficulty and I put my past accuracy to a 60 i felt like I was good
You must play my career. 1v1 and 2v2. No way you’re running rec with a 60 pass Acc unless you are a corner sitting lock and I still don’t see it there.
Have a build with gold unpluckable and one with silver. Haven’t noticed a difference. 85 steal has also worked fine for me. Only need 91 if you try to spam steal.
Hey why 86 steal and not 85? I heard just going by 5s is the way to go because there’s no difference between like an 85 and 88 rating unless it’s for badges.
85-87-89-91 are the thresholds I’d recommend for steal based off of the badges you gain at each rating. My bad if somewhere I said 86. Sometimes I’ll just throw an extra point wherever though so maybe that’s what happened. Appreciate you 🤙🏽

Dont they say 87 isn’t the min for contact dunk with 80 vert ? And steals you get a lot even at 85, and also they say acceleration doesn’t matter this year ?
steals at 85 gets you silver everything and tbh if you know how to play angles and work for a bump steal you can easily get 2 a game at least fr. As far as i know.. off the top i think at 6'6 with 86DD and 75 vert for the silver posterizer you will unlock a contact dunk package or two. accel doesn't matter if you know how to activate badges and dribble. Right now my main build that i will be putting a video out soon of has 74 accel
yea, mixed opinions about it. I also used to only run standing and i got animations but majority of people say/experience otherwise. Better safe than sorry.. plus, you'll still be more affective with both.
yyO, I may lean a bit more into PG data just because that’s mainly what I play but in this video I mention stuff for big man and locks as well. Maybe I can make videos specific on what to look for in specific builds. They’d be much short and more direct for sure! You just gave me an idea I’m pretty sure! 🙏
I go 92 MIDDY 86 THREE BALL usually. 90/86 is great too because 90 MIDDY gets you that HOF open looks. 92 MIDDY will get you that HOF GUARD UP and MIDDY MAGICIAN though. If you go with lower shooting then I go with 86MIDDY 78 THREE BALL unless you specifically want that TMAC base and are taller then you gotta go 88 MIDDY
yea i mention that somewhere in this video and for sure in my other videos, but that's why I also always say just use my videos as a template but switch it around to what works best for you!

85 ball handle is just fine, but if you put your ball handle to 87+, you will get more playmaking or shot creating build names.

Does the unnecessary weight drain your Stamina quicker? I swear if you make the same build with less weight it doesn’t drain as quick

yea, mixed opinions about it. I also used to only run standing and i got animations but majority of people say/experience otherwise. Better safe than sorry.. plus, you'll still be more affective with both.

I go 92 MIDDY 86 THREE BALL usually. 90/86 is great too because 90 MIDDY gets you that HOF open looks. 92 MIDDY will get you that HOF GUARD UP and MIDDY MAGICIAN though. If you go with lower shooting then I go with 86MIDDY 78 THREE BALL unless you specifically want that TMAC base and are taller then you gotta go 88 MIDDY
