  • The Grenadines are a fabulous cruising ground and the Tobago Cays are the jewel in the crown. With daughter Millie on board we explore the best of the area and we are not disappointed.

    Great video! Loved the views, snorkeling with turtles, the drone shots, and the reggae music. Soon you'll be wearing your hair in dread knots! Nice use of underwater camera and the "scuba" gear! Ya Mon!

    Hello....
    Mango and Banana Smoothie or Smoothie (much better cold)
    Put the frozen mango in a blender.
    Add the chopped banana to the blender.
    Add whole milk, although any will work.
    Beat until all the ingredients are perfectly integrated and serve immediately.
    P.S. You can add chopped or crushed ice to the glasses first.
    Voila.. 🎉🎉😋

    We were where you are this posting in 2011 and again in 2013 sailing with friends who kept their yacht in Grenada - wonderful swimming with the turtles but don't recall the cost of the government buoy being anything like it is now - expensive!!! Really enjoying following you through waters that evoke good memories. St Vincent was the same then as it sounds now - not good!!

    Thank you for filming, so beautifully, our Cruising ground of the past three years. We are on our way back to Europe, currently at Horta.
    We agree with you regards "its a pity about St Vincent" but we dispatch enjoy a number of stops in Cumberland Bay (next door but NOT Waliabou)..
    Bequia became our 2nd home, we loved it.
    Sorry to have missed you.

    Tobago keys park cost 60 EC for a mooring ball and 15 EC per person a day which translate to 22.20 usd and 5.50 usd per day. Not as expensive as you mention and is worth staying for 2 to 3 days. Thanks for another great video.

    It looks like your anodes had marine growth in them. I have been told that is an indicator they are not bonded to the rest of the system.

    • @svfairisle
      @svfairisle  Місяць тому

      Yes if zincs are getting growth then they are not depleting and therefore not working. What you were looking at in the underwater shot were the fridge and freezer keel plates, the zincs are the pieces I was fitting.

    Good video as always however we think you kind of harassed the turtle. You could see it was wary of your presence the the flaying about while you swam did not help.

    • @svfairisle
      @svfairisle  Місяць тому +1

      There were dozens of turtles none of which took any notice of us. The turtles were feeding on the sea grass and continued to do so as we swam, if they had stopped then that would be a sign of being disturbed by our presence. I think they are very used to humans being there its right next to a very busy anchorage.

    • @tomlaurel5248
      @tomlaurel5248 Місяць тому +1

      Well that is not what it looked like and we are very experienced with turtles but if I am wrong then ok

    • @svfairisle
      @svfairisle  29 днів тому +2

      @@tomlaurel5248 I’ve had 35 years of experience filming for the BBC. This was filmed with a 360 camera on a 3 meter pole in an invisible self stick case. It can get fantastic pictures on a tight angle, standard GoPro pictures would show the turtle as a small dot in the frame and to get the shots I did would involve being right in the turtles face
