Happy (belated) birthday! 🥂🍾 You both are growing more beautiful with every thousand miles under your keels. A pleasure to watch your travels. Keep us in the loop, please! ❤
Congratulations on this fete. You have sailed approximately 31,087 miles in your circumnavigation. Maybe you can now relax a little bit more and just enjoy life, You have certainly earned it
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos, they are by a long way, the most authentic sailing blog on UA-cam. They are the perfect combination of travel with a bit of interesting sailing tech thrown in. If you ever find yourself on the Gold Coast, Australia, hit me up, I’d love to have you guys around for a family BBQ 👍
I'm speechless, what an achievement. Thank you for sharing this with us. I've been watching your channel since the beginning, every video is great! Thank you! Kind Regards Buggy
Congrats on completing the circumnavigation! Yes, overshot on the B&G boat speed adjustment. Looks like you’re now about 15-18% too high. Knock that off the calibration constant and you should be good. You want to see the blue current arrow actually coming from different directions from time to time - never happen with the discrepancy you’re showing now unless you’re just in huge current. Can’t wait to hear what’s coming next, please let us know!
The problem was s that it was the other way around just before, I had the sog related calibration on 120% before. Don’t feel like doing all the calibration steps again for the last couple of months so we will just look at the sails. Luckily sog is sog
I notice your boat and many others from the round the world trip are on the market. BioTrek and Saga and now GreatCircle. Are you looking for another boat given the number of problems encountered? I thought the O 55 was the best thing out there.
ok comments doesnt like links :) Thanks again for sharing your journey with us and brining us along for the ride Congratulations on your circumnavigation what an achivement wwhhooooo Was intersting your comments on the 52S there is one for sale in NZ that is virtually brand new good looking boat that seems to do good NM over a 24 hour period
@malgraham351 yes, of course both are rules of thumb for the big trade wind crossings, north transat east west, Pacific and Indian. Coral and anafyura seas where similar but the south Atlantic east west seems to be slower Upwind in terms of VMG the difference would be a whole lot bigger
You were saying you like the combination of speed and comfort of the Lagoon 52S. Why did you buy an Outremer then? Or did Lagoon stop making the S version? (I didn't catch that) So, you broke Travelboast. I guess It's new to them that someone would boast about more than a circumnavigation... 🙂
They did stop making the 52. And the 52S has comfort and a bit of speed. The Outremer has similar comfort better in some aspects less in other but clearly more speed
It’s the very last one built, #20, we were #8 against in the direction of 200 Flybridge versions of the 52 so it is understandable that Lagoon focussed on the flybridge version
I’ll probably make 1 episode to cover Martinique to St Maarten not to bore you too much with a lot of same same mid may we’ll start Bermuda, Acores, Europe.

Fantastic to see the map at the end of.
Your surfing video on First Year Summary was breathtaking! Could you share what equipment you used to film those shots?
Congrats on completing the circumnavigation!

We sold the boat on the day we bought it and will handover the keys later this year. Big chance our next boat will be an Outremer again.
@@CatGreatcircle then the new owner is selling because its listed for $2.2m on Yachtworld out of Grand Motte. Anyway great content, great music.
@roberthone1230 yes that’s correct

On major crossings our average on the Lagoon was around 190 nm
@@CatGreatcircle what does the Outremer do on average? 220-240 ?

"took a holiday" lol well done.

Which place you think the best view for you
Was Maroro the original ex - Greatcircle? Or just an identical Lagoon 52S? Thank you for another great video!

Is there and update about the voyage?

O and the new rudders are delivered and installed by Outremer
@@CatGreatcircle Thanks for the reply. I like your videos.
That looked like SV Hemisphere at the beginning of the video.
Correct
Comments are broken? Or is it just mine?
?
I just saw that there was a general issue
Awesome video! We have sent you a message on Facebook.
