Sailing to Fulaga, Lau Group, Fiji, 2024

- We leave the stunning Vanua Balavu to explore more of the Lau Group, Fiji. Our friends have raved about Fulaga and also warned us about the notoriously treacherous pass with its fierce currents.
The weather forecast shot us misleading info. It seems that the huge system that hit us was detected after the event in the weather reports. We later learned that we weren't the only ones caught out in the gale force winds.

0:38 Hate to say it but that fog shrouded dismal weather looks like Germany, most of the year except you're missing dirty snow on the ground. Did you check your GPS? Are you sure about your Lat/Lon? 🤔
@@gregdamario5808 Hahaa! There were more coconut palms there than I’d expect to see in Germany, but the weather did get a bit rough!
3:22 I am brand new to your blog, and I am impressed. You don't have a boat, you have a vessel, a sailing yacht. Good on you. I'm just a coastal sailor now, but when I grow up, I want to be you, except that, you know, get some better weather. Ick. 😝
@@gregdamario5808 thank you!! Happy sailing!
Looked very challenging, but obviously worth it. You guys still out there, its been almost 1 year since I arrived back from sailing NZ to Fiji with Scotty and I still miss the cruising life very much. Enjoy!
@@sailing_tassies_adventures yes, in real time we’re in Vanuatu. It has been worth the challenges ! But Tassie/NZ are great too, aren’t they!
@@robingodfrey9639 exactly, our trip really highlighted how we have it so good in Tassie, just as beautiful as any other place!
Thanks so much that was nice going for a sail with you
