@@bjjblackbelt513 yes there are error codes and is in limp mode till it reaches operating temperature, but after that it works great, but I’ve gotten it tuned now and has so much more power lol
I'm really surprised the computer didn't complain! It seems the diesel trucks (in the USA anyway) can detect the DPF not working and set an error that will eventually disable the truck. I wish it was this easy on the trucks, mine has been a PITA.
I have a 2016 tl12v2. I hollowed it out and left all the sensors in place and left the egr. It starts and runs fine for about 30mins then it goes into limp mode and flases the SCR warning light. What can I do?
I have a Kubota L3901, how do I take the regen out completely?! The guy at the shop said they’re not allowed to take it off, but I know there has to be a way.

Maybe y'all can help me out here...I have a 2012 SVL 90-2. Its pre-def but it still has a DPF. It's in limp mode right now and it won't go into regen. I've taken the DPF off of the machine. If I take the DPF apart like you did here in this video and break out the interior of the DPF, do I need to do anything else besides putting it back together and reinstalling it on the machine? Not sure if you can help me out or not but thank you for posting this! I've subscribed to your channel and will def continue to watch your content. Have a good one!
Ok so on ours we just hollowed it out and we deleted the EGR just by unplugging it. It will throw a code but it won’t affect the machines performance and on ours. We cut all the wires out of it so it’s only in limp mode until it’s reached operating temperature and then you’ve get full power I think that should solve your problem or if you want, you can buy a ECU tuner for it but that cost over $2k to do that. That’s why we haven’t done it yet.
@@TheFULLsenderclub Thats what I was thinking. I thought that I had to get a tuner at first to fix this issue or take it to a dealer and pay $4k....But this method should work great. @@paisleepayne1937 yes you can just make sure you don’t cut any wires or anything like that you can hollow it out and it will be fine and not throw any codes
No, I didn’t actually all there is is there’s two sensors in there one before the DPF and one after the DPF they regulate airflow. If the sensor on the other side of the DPF is getting less airflow than the sensor on the opposite side of the DPF then that’s what activates re gen but because it’s a hollowed out it doesn’t activate any sensors so it makes the machine think that the DPF is not clogged and still there we’ve haven’t had any problems with it. You don’t need to get it tuned but if you want to you can.
@@TheFULLsenderclub mines regenerating every 2-3 hours now. Gotta get something done. I believe what you’re saying, it makes sense. @@justinmartin8887 what I’m guessing those are for is to eliminate all of the sensors and wiring to with the delete but we kept everything and we haven’t had any problems with them. We’ve put about 100 hours on it. i’m gonna do a video soon on how to disable the EGR because that’s another thing that has to be done when you do the DPF delete so that way it’s not recirculating the unburnt fuel.
@@TheFULLsenderclub yea… I’m on the fence on the egr part. I would like to get rid of it, but technically with the compression ratio and boost figures they run, eliminating the egr can cause sky high exhaust temps and combustion pressures. If I eliminate the egr I’ll probably get it tuned to retard the injection timing to lower the combustion pressure. Maybe it’s a nonissue on these small ones, the isx/x15 Cummins do not like having egr removed without a retune.
