- The first Act of Diablo III brings us back to Tristram, where an unknown object fell from the skies and struck the Tristram Cathedral. The Official Web Site states that this 'harbinger of doom' will awake ancient evils and call for heroes of Sanctuary to defend their world. Not many areas of the Act were revealed, but those that were revealed are showing what the entirety of the Act could look like.

Fun fact: the pieces all fell in places resembling all 3 sides, demons (Khazra Den, a dark cave), angels (the chapel, a holy place), and a nephalem temple.

I actually never put those together since I was mainly concerned about the story more than my surroundings telling a story may have do another run now see what else I missed
although I dont really like the lore of D3, with you, yout voice and the way you have to tell us the storie, its so easy for me to get into it

Crusader has the best dialogue: He's seen it all, just like us - and instead of getting despondent or grim, he compensates with dark humor and wry comprehension. There's work to be done, and little point in sapping our own motivation with poor cheer.

First off, I fucking love your channel. It's so good and your voice is perfect for this type of content. But spectating the whole of D3s campaign you really notice how poorly thought out some things are, the way Lea acts and a lot of quest chains only make superficial sense. I didn't notice while playing because the gameplay is really enjoyable but I understand what everyone was upset about a little more

I know this sounds weird, but the diablo 1and 2 story much better then diablo 3, but im still wanna watch this hole serie, cause the storytelling from this channel makes it a good listens.

I can only hope this series on D3 will give me something I can appreciate from this once great series. Also Angels names end in El. All Angel's or they aren't angels. Wish the writers of D3 knew that.

There are some angels which name ends in -us instead of -el, like Inarius & Imperius.

@@floppynwah8141 Oh no, they're writing their own material as well instead of lifting entirely from one particular religion. Also could you imagine the outrage if they used actual angel names? They're all made up.
This makes me want to do something like this, using a different character. I won't since I wouldn't be able to do this justice, but I'd love to hear this story from the POV of the Witch Doctor or Necromancer, for instance.
What bothers me with the Diablo games is the timeline. How little time lies between those games make me think how save can this world be.

Do they ever explain how is the Butcher and Skeleton King alive in Diablo 3? Or why the labirynth beneath the cathedral is all lit up and new instead of gothic and grim?
Oh my God I just realized the summoner circle that allows Lilith into our world is also underneath the cathedral in tristram. That city is just built on a giant hell gate. Just quarantine the city and never let anything be built on it again. That's that part of the world fixed then.

The heaven stuff was some of the coolest lore in D3, but it doesn't make sense that tyrael would become a human after removing his wings. Why? because they have established dumb lore that says humans are the product of angels and demons. They aren't angels that have removed their wings.
1:13:30 As a roleplayer & dungeon master I have to say this: If in my campaing either me or one of the players would suggest that when discovering a piece of puzzle and while doing so learn that others are trying to gather pieces: Would you leave the pieces then to the frailest of the group playing? Never! So I'm saying that Blizzard activily made the player character Cain killer. If the player character had not given the sword pieces to Cain no-one would had any reason to kill Cain. Maybe abduct to try to exchange him to the sword pieces but no reason to kill. So by giving the sword pieces to Cain the player character sealed Cain's doom. Maybe one "Stay awhile and listen" too much.

Good vid, but wow am I glad I skipped this game. Doesn't hold up against D1 and D2. Path of Exile is my Diablo 3.
I played all of the games mentioned in the above comment. Not sure why D3 has such a bad reputation... It certainly wasn't the best of the 3, but I still play it and find plenty to do. The revamp of legendary and set gear, adventure mode, rifts, bounties, and challenging rifts combined with the variety of each hero... Not to mention, the visuals are really well done. Aside from having issues with frame rate at extremely high level greater rifts, the familiar sounds and the style of coloring kept me engaged. The cinematics were also outstanding- specifically, the battle at Heavens Gate between Imperius and Diablo, still fires me up. I can get bored with the game and move on to something else, but I would never skip the game simply because it wasn't as good as the others...

I hate how little view you have, because one day, this is how people will play games.. and that time is coming soon, about one and a half generation of gamers not including the original atarie group we are growing bored of playing thebgames yet attach to the stories. You got the second best outlet from stream play, and streamers are dyibg because of politics when that happen ull be thr top and the only functional diablo stream type video give it like another year or so, when this phase of new game come and fails the gamers youll be a big shot.
I loved the lore vids for D1 and D2. But I'm afraid D3 is beyond saving. God, the story is awful. And the art direction as well. If sacrilege was a game - this is it.
This game was/is pure dog shit and is NOT cannon
