It's all gone. My wife's town she grew up in, the town I learned to love and became my home. Our children we were raising here to be the next generation to take over and then one day pass on their own beautiful childhood memories to their own children. Thank you for this video. We will rebuild Lahaina.
I grew up in Honolulu, I'm devastated to hear this news of the fire and many deaths, So sorry to hear about Lahaina, but it's beautiful news to hear you say you will rebuild, blessings to you and your family praise God you are ok 🙏
I live in Maui. Would go to Lahaina twice a week to sell my art. Took many visiting friends and family there to show them around. Would meet up with friends and customers for lunch or dinner. Go to the annual Halloween Party. This tragedy feels like a huge part of my history has been wiped out. Hard to describe my feelings. It’s not just sad. It’s like someone died suddenly that I never got a chance to say goodbye to, only to realize just how much they actually meant to me.
Mahalo for posting this video. I visited Lahaina in August of 2022. My mother grew up in Lahaina. My grandfather was the Postmaster from 1915 to 1928. I'm still in shock about what happened. This video preserves the memory of that beautiful town, Mahalo again for posting it.
I live in Canada and have many great memories of visit to Lahaina in2000. It stuck with me because it was such a wonderful community and when I saw the pictures I broke down crying I couldn’t believe it was all gone. I can only imagine the trauma that those who lived there are going to have to go through and process. I can give are my prayers of healing for the individuals and the community as a whole. I have no doubt it will be rebuilt but the lost history is a hard one. Many prayers and blessings to the people of Lahaina ~ Shannon ~😊🙏🇨🇦🥰
Me too and I'm also named Shannon and am from BC, Canada! I was in Maui 2000 to 2002. Spent time on the whole Island, a true blessing and I will never forget her beauty and the Aloha spirit.. I Truly felt she is the Mother land of the Earth.❤️ 🕯️🙏🕯️. My heart is with you all 🌹.❤️🌹❤️🕯️.
My first trip to Maui was in 2000. Then, and on subsequent trips I’ve always spent a lot of time in Lahaina and Ka’anapali, and it’s one of my favorite places on the planet. So much aloha. Everyone always made me feel like I’d come home. I’m devastated this has happened.
This is such a great tribute. It makes me so sad to see the history part gone. The Hawaiian people are so proud of their roots. The one I met were very passionate about thems. Prayers go out to all. And hugs sent to comfort and try to ease the pain. I was there last year visiting my son and son-in-law. I know what you have lost. 😢
Have never been, but your film shows the beauty and sweet community feel. Not just, ‘Oh- some place over in Hawaii,’- but history, harmony, and beauty of many people. Thank you for showing the specialness of Lahaina- my prayers for restoration and healing. 💔😢
More than a tragedy. Such a wonderful culture and history turned to ashes. While I am not Hawaiian my heart loved the culture and respected their traditions. I pray for them all and hope they can rebuild soon. But in doing so don’t lose the Hawaiian heart of Maui and Lāhainā.
😢this is awful All those Good people and their livelihoods I am Soo Sorry, and the HISTORY Cannot be replaced!!!!!!! I know prayers are weak but I pray GOD for All of the people.
While planning a trip to Maui, I looked through my daddy's cruise album from the USS Indianapolis from WWII. There were many pictures from Lahaina. I dug really deep and found that Lahaina alternated as the home of the US Naval fleet before the war. In fact, the Japanese considered bombing Lahaina instead of Pearl Harbor. The Naval fleet moored there because of the calm waters that were named Lahaina Roads. Last November, I walked in his footsteps all over the town. It was very emotional for me. I found the old wharf where sailors were transported to the town from the the big ships. The wharf has decayed now, but parts of it still remain. Lahaina does have a lot of history that most people don't know about. My heart is broken for all the ones who have lost everything.
The lost history is devastating! When it’s rebuilt no matter how well it will never be the same on so many levels. I am so sorry for your losses and for the families of the people who were ushered into eternity.
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful place, such history, & culture , such a heartbreaking loss. May the people of Lahaina stay strong, united and know we are with you.Lahaina will be beautiful again, God Bless, from Canada! May all those who perished , Rest In Peace.
Greetings from Australia. I gave you Thumbs up for your efforts in putting this Video together and not what has happened but so sad. This looked like it was a excellent tourist place. Love light and strength to all those affected and their friends and family and those passed may their souls Rest In Peace
We were there for 2 weeks in March and spent many hours wandering through town. It was our first trip to Hawaii and is still fresh in our memories. We are saddened by the lives lost and destruction of such a wonderful place. We pray for all and know that this strong community will make its way back.
Great video. My parents were both born on Maui. My wife and I were in Lahaina for three weeks in May. It's an indescribable loss. The loss of life is incredibly tragic. That this could happen in paradise is very difficult to imagine. God bless all the victims and those wonderful locals who made the place so wonderful....
You did a wonderful job putting this together. ❤️ I’m heartbroken for the residents of Lahaina. I’ve visited there many times from Wisconsin. I will cherish those memories.
I visited Maui a few years ago and stayed in Lahaina. It was the most beautiful experience. The people were beautiful. I am saddened by the loss of life and the entire town😢. It is hard to comprehend such a loss. Thank you for posting this video 🙂 ❤
I’m at a loss for words. My husband and myself vacationed in Maui for our Honeymoon. It was such a vibrant town with cheerful tourists and tanned smiling residents. Your losses are unimaginable. Love and healing to the survivors. ❤️
I will always cherish the wonderful memories of what in my heart was one of the most Beautiful towns I have ever come to know. I'm so saddened for the Residents of Lahaina and throughout Maui for the loss of loved ones and so many Historical Buildings. I have traveled to Maui three times with my cousin and her and I would go no where else on earth and having stayed at the Lahaina Beach resort in 2018 was magical! We would have gone again in 2021 however Covid prevented us from doing so. My thoughts and prayers to all who were affected by this devastating Wild Fire... May everyone stay strong like the Hawaiian Spirit... God Bless
I am so damned sad. I had the pleasure to sit beneath the banyan tree in 2002. And walk Lahaina's streets. It was lovely. Losing such a magical place is indescribably painful. My wish for Lahaina is that soon its future will be filled with momentous occasions and sweet ribbon cuttings.
Ur so right, I couldn't believe the news. I fell in love with the town the first time I visited and went to visit 2 more times. I hope they recover and condolences to all who lost loved ones and property. Terrible
My thoughts and prayers goes to the families of the victims. Visited in 2022 and cherishing the memories at all times. Felt heart broken to see such a beautiful place turned out to be like a war zone. May God help the families who lost their loved ones. God Bless all
You did a beautiful job with this film Dennis. I was there in 2016, I’m still feeling the emotions inside of me while typing this. Thank you for your excellent film.
Mahalo Nui Loa for creating this wonderful tribute. The loss of Lahaina is beyond devastating. The irretrievable loss of all the artifacts at Wo Hing is particularly agonizing; gone and never to be recreated. And I know there was similar loss at many other historical places. Moreso the tragic loss of families and friends, pets, homes, businesses, and livelihoods. All gone. Horrific. This memento is important - Mahalo for putting it together. Aloha.
A beautiful tribute to a lovely place. I cannot imagine how traumatic it has been for the people of Lahaina to lose so much. I hope the Banyan tree survives….it would make such a symbol of hope for the people if it can grow green again. Prayers of support and for the kind of Lahaina the people want for themselves when they are ready to rebuild. But first, time must be given to mourn the loss….this video is a sweet reminder, thank you.
This is a beautiful tribute to a wonderful place. My heart is saddened. We were lucky enough to enjoy a slice of paradise in this wonderful place and now it’s all gone. My heart goes out to the people of Hawaii and all the families who lost loved ones and a huge piece of Hawaiian Heritage. 😢
what a great video...I am so sad...but this video brought back such great memories of Lahaina...I've photographed some on my trips there but the video really captured the essence of Lahaina and just how I remember it! hopefully they can rebuild it and still capture the Lahaina vibe that it has always been. Prayers to all the people of Lahaina!
So hard to imagine that such a peaceful, beautiful & laid back town could be so completely destroyed so quickly😢. Heartfelt condolences to all the surviving people of Lahaina. Praying you are able to rebuild after all the ashes are cleared🙏
We lived in Lahaina in 1965 and it was lovely and totally unspoiled before the tourists discovered it. It was truly a paradise with very few stores, not many cars, no stop lights, etc. - just local people and us haoles. I have pictures of that Lahaina and a book I bought more recently at the Old Court House where we got our mail back in the day. The book shows the store fronts, etc. of the Lahaina I knew -so different than what's shown in this video! Praying for the beautiful people of Lahaina.
I love how you presented this in the spirit of hope and with the fondness of memories that so characterizes the Hawaiian spirit. The woman doing the hula in the beginning was perfect. It reminded me of a video I saw of a woman doing one last hula for her son who died. Someone will create a song and a hula to tell the story of Lahaina town.
It is a heartbreaking story! I am very sorry for this tragedy and all that you have lost... I know that you will all have a difficult journey to rebuild your community. Stay strong and Know we are ALL PRAYING FOR YOU!!!
THANK YOU! This film tells so much more about the incredible devastation and losses of the people of Maui than all the apocalyptic pictures posted on the internet and YT combined. All these beautiful faces with their smiles... What on earth do you do after you`ve lost so much? Where do you go? Where do you start? This is such a tragedy. Words can not express my sadness about all that has happened. My heart goes out to all the people who are suffering, who were lucky to survive, but lost their homes and their possessions. Heartfelt greetings from Slovenia and God bless you all!
Thanks for this. We needed it, and you could show us in a beautifully loving way. I know this is the heart of your show. Thanks for the show. Blessings to you and your crew.
Thank you for posting this beautiful tribute. At times I am overwhelmed with grief for the island people. This was a breath of fresh air for me. God bless the island family and heal their hearts and provide a future and a hope. In Jesus name I pray Amen❤
I have wonderful memories of Lahaina. I was booked at the Pioneer Inn for the week the fire happened. I cancelled at the last minute because I didn’t hear back from my friend I was going to visto. Divine intervention. Godspeed, Maui, and God bless you all. We are collecting donations in my town in California. I hope it helps. Mostly know that you are in our hearts and prayers.❤🙏
With so many awful things happening every day, this has saddened me more than other tragedies. Thank you for showing us what a beautiful town it was. Heartbreaking to think it’s all gone.
Thanks Dennis, I found your videos years ago when planning to visit Venice but funnily enough I grew up just North of Lahaina at Kahana. So many memories and so much history lost. Not to mention of course the unthinkable loss of life. Thank you for the video.
Just heartbreaking to see what a vibrant and beautiful little town Lahaina was . The footage shown is just incredibly sad. This truly is a tremendous tragedy 😢
Thank you for posting this memorial...so bittersweet. I'm in Australia, and had always longed to go to Maui..I had several FB friends who lived there on & off...I have lost contact with my lovely friend Mahana, for some unknown reason..it was her birthday on the 15th of August...she lived there with her Mum..the lady with the Blue Hair...I've been so worried, about what's happened to them. I send Angels to watch over you, and all my heartfelt love and prayers to you all...I can only imagine the collective grief you must be going through!!!! And the beautiful, iconic Banyan tree...A symbol of hope, and permanence for so many...may it sprout again, to fill all hearts with Aloha again. Ho'oponopono to all the survivors xoxoxo
Oh wow. I live in Maui and because of this fire, a dear friend from Australia got in touch with me after 12 years of no contact! I was so happy to hear from her. I hope you find your friend.
Oh hi!...have only just seen your comment....so glad you reconnected with your Ozzie friend again!...at least SOMETHING good came out of this horrendous tragedy! Wishing you and your friend well.
Thank you for this. I am an art teacher and I love to share videos from far off lands.... This tribute was so emotional even if I've never been there. Seeing all the devastation and the community sharing their experiences but faith in Lahaina to stay the community they have always and will continue to be, strong, brave and family. Mahal/love and positive vibes coming your way from AZ, To all survivors and all those who lost their lives. Mahal/love and positive vibes coming your way and to the heavens. 🥰🙏😇
May God bless and keep the people their pets and the wildlife of this place. This is devastating. Its so beautiful. I hope when they rebuild they will rebuild it to look exactly as it did before the fire. Its so amazing. My heart ❤ goes out to everyone who was effected by this tragedy 💔
This is a beautiful tribute to Maui...ty!! My heartfelt condolences to the residents of Maui...I live on Kauai but has visited Maui many times! It's part of all of us!
I have only been to The Islands once, Maui 2010 for my mother's 80th birthday, a trip my brother and I arranged. Although we stayed at the Ritz Carlton, our second stop was Lahaina, a place I had intended to revisit. I felt Lahaina was the center, so its loss and the loss of so many lives is truly heartbreaking.
I was only there once. I was struck by the beauty and the smell of the warm breezes. I remember the Banyan Tree, I thought it was amazing. We had a roast pig that was cooked underground with huge Falms over the top. They had singing and danced. That song by Izzi was being sung "Over The Rainbow" ... We went scuba diving from a boat that took us out as a group. So many wonderful memories. We all have a hard time understanding what happened. God, bless, everyone that suffered the loss of family, homes, and everything that you held dear to your hearts. God is there and He will bless you again. 💔
I am so glad this tribute was done. Born n raised on Oahu, I have never been to Lahaina. I'm glad I got to see the before pics. God bless the people of Maui, n God bless Hawaii.
I cried when I heard that Lahaina caught on fire because I made so many memories when I was younger…I walked through the sidewalks, went to all the shops and so much more memories.I’m still crying today for what happened……. The thing is the church I go to was perfectly fine not one little burn onto the it it’s beautiful to notice that the church stayed fine but everything else is ruined
I've never been there, yet my heart is torn for the loss of beautiful people, historical properties, etc. , and let's also not forget the nature and animals that perished as well. It's truly heartbreaking. 💔
Thank you post this and sharing the beautiful places of Lahaina. No other place on earth even comes close to this. Very sad to all of it destroyed. everyone who has pictures and videos of Lahaina will never forget Lahaina and his beautiful history.
Thank you so much for these memories. I will always remember our visits there. Such a beautiful and special place. Praying for all 🙏 who lost everything.
I was just there, 2 months to the dates of the fires and captured drone footage of Lahaina with the ocean in the background. I also captured footage of the mountains, just north of Lahaina! And I shopped in Lahaina, more specifically at a knife shop, where I picked up a knife for my dad. The shop owner and I had a pleasant conversation for nearly 15 minutes and she even recommended a golf course, Pukalani, which I played the following day. My Prayers will be with Maui, one of my favorite destinations 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾!
The ending song is supposed to be beautiful but somehow, it's quite sad……impermanence……such a tranquil little community disappeared to ashes……yes, it shall be rebuilt! Thank you so much for sharing!
My husband and I honeymooned there in 2016. Beautiful place and such friendly welcoming people. It made a huge impression on us. We're devastated for the community. Love and light from Ireland xxx
I am not from Maui but I do hear and feel the hurt. Those of us that are not able to give money, we can always pray. So please those of us that are not from Maui let's pray everyday for those who have to press on and make Maui beautiful again. Also, share the story with others. We cannot forget our brothers and sisters that are across the ocean. 🙏🙏🙏💞💞💞
Heartbreaking...I've been to Maui 7 times and have very fond memories of Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua. Been to the banyan tree several times. Praying for the people of Maui.
Thank you! Life comes and it goes. We come and we go. We leave behind what? Here? Beauty, joy, music, and Aloha lived. These do not die. Transformation is painful. Focus on the love, Aloha, spirit and fight to rebuild without the vultures coming in to build on top of now sacred ashes. Lahaina is sacred ground now.
Beautiful Video ❤️ My Husband & I Celebrated My 60th Birthday & Our 30th Anniversary w/ a Big Trip to Hawaii,Last Year. We Could Only Come, for 13 Days, but Had the Pleasure of Staying, in Lahaina, for 4 of them. I’m Heartbroken for Your People’s Loss & Hope & Pray for Healed Hearts & a Strong Rebuild. Mahalo 💙
Such a lovely peaceful clean looking town. No trash on the sidewalks and streets, no bums hanging around, no panhandlers. Just heartbreaking this place with so much history and so many people giving it much loving care for many years is now lost. So tragic for the residents who did so much for their town and now they've lost it all.
Definitely breaks my heart. Was there a couple times in the past few years and fell in love with Lahaina. Remember all those great shops, restaurants and art galleries. I hope they can rebuild and everyone is on their feet sooner rather than later. God bless those who lost homes and loved ones.
I've never been to Maui. The town looks so beautiful and historical. We are all so heartbroken about what has happened. Praying for you all. I really hope that the community sticks together and rebuilds Lahaina! The corruption in the government seems to have played a very evil plot in all this. Praying you stand strong and tell FEMA to take a hike. Sorry for your loss.
You all definitely had a beautiful place to live. I can't imagine what you all have been through. My heart and prayers go out to you all. I've been praying for you all.
Such sadness . We honeymooned on Maui in 2003 . We attended their amazing luau and walked around Lahaina . Such a memorable and special time for us . Now it’s gone . 🌴😢
This tragedy is so very sad. I've never been to anywhere in Hawaii but this historic town looks beautiful. So sad it is gone. I will be praying for you all. You are strong people and yall will rebuild and endure! God be with you! ❤
Congratulations guys, nice camera work. My best memory of Lahaina was wandering down the back alleys to see what was there. I stumbled upon several 200 year old whaler's huts hidden away out of sight. Not a tourist to be seen, just me. Then there was the day I had to do laundry at a little place on the wrong side of the tracks - literally. You had to cross over an old sugar cane railroad to get to it. While waiting I stepped into a fine cultural exchange establishment called the Sly Mongoose. Not a tourist to be seen, just me and a gang of Samoan bikers. Different.
Was jus there in Feb for the first time, I said to myself I will be back. It was love at first sight. Love this tribute and this beautiful song @8:03 God Bless Lahaina and the wonderful people
From ontario Canada...our sadness and grief are with you all.great video for memories..never bee to Maui but I see why it is a major attraction,, tion.. thank you for bringing this into my home..God e with you all
Mahalo for this beautiful tribute of Lahaina. Now I may visit the Lahaina of my heart and youth whenever the islands call me back. Prayers, strength and much Aloha to all affected by this challenge.💗🤙🌴🙏🌺🙌🌈
I was 3 years old when my dad was stationed on Oahu. I don't know if we ever visited Maui and probably never saw Lahaina, but we lived on Oahu for 3-3.5 years before being stationed back to the mainland. So, the earliest memories of my life are of Hawai'i and life there. My sister was born at Tripler Army Medical Center back in 1960, but unfortunately, she has no memory of Hawai'i. There is a place in my heart and mind that has always thought of Hawai'i as the home I always wanted to go back to. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Lahaina, Dennis. It was an amazingly beautiful town. All the history there is something I would have loved to lay back and soak in. The idea that it's all gone breaks my heart so deeply. The people have lost so much. So many people have been lost. The idea that it all could have been avoided is so devastating. My hope is that the People of Maui and Lahaina will be able to find a way to rebuild and make the town stronger than ever. I believe that the People have the Spirit and will prevail. I'm so sorry for what you all have lost, but the town and the People will rise up and this horror will become but a note in the long, beautiful history of Lahaina.
God Bless all.. This is so sad.. What a horrific tragedy, seems it happened so fast, there wasn't enough time for warnings, those who got them and lived through this were all very lucky... Such a beautiful place, warm and caring people.. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone....🙏🙏💕❤💕
Thank you so much for this video trip back to all the places I walked when visiting Lahaina...prayers and love to the people of Lahaina and all who appreciated it....
Visited, first time, just 8 months ago with my cousins (January 2023). So hard to fathom such devastation. Wish everyone well and hope they can rebuild and get back on their feet as soon as possible.
This is so so sad!!! I lived on Oahu when a child in 1957. Oh...the islands are beautiful and enchanting. The air was filled with the wonderful fragrance of the local flowers. The locals were so happy, gentle and kind. I send my thoughts and prayers to your citizens that recovery will come swift. America owes the very best to you all!!! This is your home not 😅that of tourists. I hope people respect. I pray that the beautiful souls are now in a tranquil beautiful place. This is just unforgettable!!! God Speed in the recovery of your island and it's people.❤❤❤
It is so sad what happened to the town. I bet it will start rebuilding very soon since it was such a destination when visiting Maui. This whole incident just goes to show how fragile life and our surrounding are, which we normally take for granted. Lahaina will be back and probably better!
Thank you so much for making and sharing this beautiful video. I truly loved this place and was hoping to visit it one day again, but it is all gone. I hope it will be rebuilt again, but what we have lost won't come back. Also, I am glad the banyan tree has survived.
Such a lovely place - thanks so much for sharing this love of Lahaina. It is such a tragedy that Lahaina has burned. Our prayers and thoughts are with you!
Thank you sooo much for sharing the memories of Lahaina❤. I’ve been going to the island since I was 9 years old and my family live 😂part time down in Kihei. I’m so sadden by for what has happen to my second home, the people and the history of this beautiful neighborhood. They will rebuild and hopefully will be just as beautiful- Maui Strong 💪 ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for making the video. First of all, my prayers to the victims and theirs families. I was there on vacation a few months ago, I was on one of those catamarans and got to see the area very well. There are two things that caught my attention in a negative way: 1) the area was incredibly packed, every restaurant, the shops and the small open air two stories mini mall. Secondly the awful scape route and overall lack of emergency roads. To be specific the road that connects from the airport goes from a 2 lane hwy to a single lane twisty road next to the ocean. There is absolutely no way to turn around because the road is a double yellow line. In my stay there we tried unsuccessfully (twice) to leave for a ride/cruise and see the volcano but nope, the road was blocked with traffic. Ironically a different day we also went west where the road really gets narrow and the scenery is very green and dense and again, the road was closed because a car flipped. These 3 instances left us with a bad taste, we even told out travel agent and we were told that Maui is not trying to expand because they already have excess of tourism. This wildfire could be some what avoidable but lots of people are more worried about making money and see how many more food tables can you fit per square meter and how many shops can you open back to back. It is a sad story but again from having been there recently I identified some of these issues(safety, emergency) because it was so overwhelmingly obvious.
The west side is actually pretty much unlivable. It is always dry, fire prone, with no hospital. Plenty of people die in ambulances on their way out of there thru heavy traffic. Everyone who lives there pretty much relies on tourism. Even doctors who have offices there treat mostly tourists. The hotel resorts are well watered, but everywhere else is dry as tinder. Driving thru previous fires to leave that side has been harrowing. And getting stuck overnight due to fires was another terrible time. Lahaina holds wonderful memories for me, but there is no way I would ever live there.
This is so devastating!

Thinking and praying for you all! We fell in love when we visited Lahaina in January 2022.
Our hearts are breaking with you. Thankful you and your family are safe. Praying for all.

Heartbreaking. My cousin retired to Lahaina until his demise. He was Hawaii's first Covid victim. He always had sweet things to say about the town.

So sorry for your loss. It truly was a special place.

Very well said.
What was the Hawaiian heart?

The lost history is devastating! When it’s rebuilt no matter how well it will never be the same on so many levels. I am so sorry for your losses and for the families of the people who were ushered into eternity.
Unfortunately these types of traumatic events are only going to increase. May the God of peace be with us all and protect us from harm

This tragedy is absolutely heart wrenching. Lahaina will be rebuilt, and those lost will be remembered! Thanks for this video.
We were there for 2 weeks in March and spent many hours wandering through town. It was our first trip to Hawaii and is still fresh in our memories. We are saddened by the lives lost and destruction of such a wonderful place. We pray for all and know that this strong community will make its way back.
ok
Get a to go bag! Our ( G.o.v.) is clearing ( land). We are useless eaters. Be prepared
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. ❤ so heartfelt seeing what Lahaina once was and hoping to see what it will be again. ❤❤

Thank you for documenting the memory of Lahaina, such that it would live on in the hearts of many.
Terrible
Im sad too. I saw some things about the tree. They have been checking on it and watering it. It might make it.
My thoughts and prayers goes to the families of the victims. Visited in 2022 and cherishing the memories at all times. Felt heart broken to see such a beautiful place turned out to be like a war zone. May God help the families who lost their loved ones. God Bless all
ok
Aloha.
Sad to realise all this beauty and history is gone. Monumental loss! Peace and comfort to all the people of Lahaina and Hawaii.
This deserves millions of views. Thank you.
I love how you presented this in the spirit of hope and with the fondness of memories that so characterizes the Hawaiian spirit. The woman doing the hula in the beginning was perfect. It reminded me of a video I saw of a woman doing one last hula for her son who died. Someone will
create a song and a hula to tell the story of Lahaina town.
We needed it, and you could show us in a beautifully loving
way.
I know this is the heart of your show. Thanks for the show. Blessings to you and your crew.
Thanks Barbara, but the "crew" was me, and my iPhone, as usual.
Thank you. It looked like paradise.
I feel so blessed to have been to Lahaina multiple times.
My wife and I as well. We loved touring front street and taking the Trilogy catamaran cruise to watch whales in the evening
Thank you for posting this beautiful tribute. At times I am overwhelmed with grief for the island people.
This was a breath of fresh air for me.
God bless the island family and heal their hearts and provide a future and a hope.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen❤
God’s presence and peace during this heartbreaking time💔❤️🌺
I have wonderful memories of Lahaina.
Sorry for everyone's loss and the victims RIP. I hope this beautiful place will recover at least.
With so many awful things happening every day, this has saddened me more than other tragedies. Thank you for showing us what a beautiful town it was. Heartbreaking to think it’s all gone.
I was just there 6 weeks ago. I can’t believe it’s gone.
A great loss to all of this community and l hope the town is rebuilt my thoughts are with you from England 🇬🇧 at this difficult time
Thank you so much Dennis for this video. I'm just heartbroken.
@@jo-annahicks3324 Yes, we are now in touch regularly! I hope you can one day reconnect with your friend again. 🙏🍀💕
Such a lovely town. Thanks for sharing. Beyond sad to think what happened.
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful community. Thank you for showing this to us!
Looks like a great lil town,,,I was never there...I wish the people there well and lots of love
Your drone footage may become part of the history of the town!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video.
Beyond heartbreaking ❤️🩹 what a beautiful tribute to a truly beautiful unique place. Thank you for sharing. 🙏❤️ to all caught up in this nightmare.❤
Thank You for the video, I was wondering what it used to look like and this really was great to see
Beautiful Video ❤️

So many of these places were dear to me. I dreamed of returning one day but now those places will live in my heart
Same. Honeymooned in Maui in 2003. Marriage didn't last, nor did my sweet Lahaina.😔
What a BEAUTIFUL tribute!!!!!
Love this tribute and this beautiful song @8:03 God Bless Lahaina and the wonderful people
From ontario Canada...our sadness and grief are with you all.great video for memories..never bee to Maui but I see why it is a major attraction,, tion.. thank you for bringing this into my home..God e with you all
Sharing love and prayers for the families of Maui fire disaster.🙏🙏🙏
What a lovely tribute. Thank you for refreshing many wonderful memories of Lahaina. Aloha.
Mahalo, for this beautiful memoir.
Better? Not sure about that. It will be what the billionaire class decide. Really, what was there can never be replaced.
Thank you so much for making and sharing this beautiful video. I truly loved this place and was hoping to visit it one day again, but it is all gone. I hope it will be rebuilt again, but what we have lost won't come back. Also, I am glad the banyan tree has survived.
Lovely tribute. Takes me right back. My heart is broken for Lahaina.
This was not because of climate change. I feel very sorry for the people who lost their lives and their families. Maranatha.
