SPIDER-MAN 2 is EXTREMELY OVERRATED??? - Фільми й анімація
The title is not necessarily clickbait. It is more of a question! I think this movie is the best of the trilogy! Honestly, I loved it! What did you guys think?
Exact same opinion
I totally agree spiderman 2 is the best spiderman Imo lol
i was gonna blast u lol its the best of 3 and the best up till the spiderverse.
ya ya ya whatever
Damn guy lol. I was gonna say. Spider-Man 2 is for me like top 3 best superhero movies ever lol.
The message of that quote was that sometimes people can justify wrong and selfish acts by them following their dreams...But sometimes you have to realize that your goals may not worth the harm you inflict on others while getting there.
Like choosing a career over your family, or doing shady schemes for a quick buck and fame.
The movie teaches you to know when your dreams might've gone too far, and reflect on what's really right for you to do.
Well said.
@@tintinthereporter4391I don't think it's another way of saying it necessarily, but I do think it's an extension of that lesson, an application for how to live out that moral axiom.
Well said . Like ofc u should follow ur dreams , but at the same time u don’t wanna go to far with it where u risk losing ur family just cause of a dream . Or in Docs case risk all of New York for a dream
THIS was a brilliant response, description, and life lesson 👏 😀.
I remember this movie being super relatable growing up. Barely making it by financially, two jobs and always being late for class and can’t tell the girl you like how you feel about her. That’s Spider-Man
That’s peter parker
💯
@@huh9315 Peter is Spider-Man
i dont think it is actually
That J.K. Simmons' laugh is so iconic. Just great, and sounds genuine. Always makes me smile. There's a reason most dubs of the movie keep the original laugh. (None of those that don't ever manage to match it.)
I adore J.K. Simmons in all his roles. ❤️
8 minutes in and I’m dying from all the “tuckus” talk🤣
The scene where the arms are killing all the doctors/nurses is so terrifying though. The scene where the people see him on the train after he saves them always makes me tear up!
If you've seen Evil Dead/Army of Darkness you can tell that the operation room scene is totally directed by Sam Raimi . 😁
Yea, if you a biiiiiiiiitch!
it scared me as a kid and it scares me now 😭 the screeching of her nails against the tile as she gets dragged away makes me cringe every single time!
The little kids that give Spider-man his mask on the train where actually Toby's brothers.
Yep, that scene terrified me as a kid. AMAZING to see it as an adult
I love when horror directors make superhero movies
Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness

I feel like this is a shot at Morbius
@@snack_bar2474 no, if you look at many action movies. They rarely show clear fighting scenes.

Nice story blud😂
It was willem dafoe who requested sam raimj to add his scenes in all 2nd and 3rd part no matter what's the scenario just add it

I don't think Otto has a split personality. It's like the arms are talking to him. This is one of my favorite Spiderman movies as well as one of my favorite superhero movies period. The nostalgia just oozes when I watch it. Plus this was the movie that got me into superheroes and comic books.
The novelization of the book actually gives dialogue from the arms, and each have their own distinct personalities.
It’s like AI taking control
He even says that the chip is specifically to maintain his brain function so that he stays in control of the arms rather than the other way around.
It's definitely the AI of the arms taking him over after the chip gets damaged.
watch the 4K if you can it's awesome
When trying to save Aunt May, and Peter screams “Hang on!!!” the camera cuts to show Aunt may make a face. This is the moment she recognizes his voice, and realizes her nephew is Spider-Man, which is why she gave such a “wink-wink-nudge-nudge” speech to him while packing her things.
Fusion reactions like this have recently been achieved. The problem is they haven't been able to sustain it long enough to produce more energy than it takes to trigger the fusion reaction. (Edit: this is no longer true, they have achieved positive net energy. Now they just have to work on sustaining it long term.) But they are making massive strides on a monthly basis. Less than 10 years before we have fusion power plants, bet.
I'd take that bet. Humanity isn't making many strides in technologies for the future that way. Because there's no interest in it. There hasn't been a cure for anything in what.. your whole life? Because they won't produce it even if they found one.
All future technologies today are for one thing and one thing only.. and it's very sick what it is.
There will be no fusion power plants.. at least not in 10 years. Mark my words.
@Me Too your missing the fact that there are many private and government organizations actively working on it RIGHT NOW and are constantly making strides. Look it up. I'm not basing this off guesses or feelings, it's in the works right now and is just a matter of time. They aren't pouring billions into projects that they don't intend to get functional soon.
First one to do it either gonna become the richest person on Earth or, if it's Government, gonna get a hell of a lot of control.
@@Agispsi You're missing the fact the the government right now are implementing population reduction fast tracking in real time all over the globe.
They don't care about you. they want to get rid of you. You can see articles in the paper every day showing you disaster after disaster.. war after war.. Go check the population reproductive totals in the West. it's dropping now.
Again I'll take that bet. You wont' see it because they're still to busy imploding society. Infrastructure after infrastructure is being destroyed, be in water sectors, food sectors, or energy sectors.
Electric vehicles are bursting into flames. There are graveyards of these things and you're still pretending we're headed to the Jetsons.

Yeah but people don’t like it cause we love selfishness, that’s why we’re not heroes
But this movie literally tells you that you could be. People nowadays have a problem with a movie teaching you about selflessness and sacrifice
Fun fact with the “My back!” scene: Tobey almost ended up being recast in this movie by Jake Gyllenhaal (who eventually became Mysterio in Far From Home), because he broke his back before production. Remember this joke, it’s gonna come back later.
The persistence with the, "can I touch your tuchus?" 🤣
They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits of NWH
But do you know who else deserves a big thank you?
LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth
Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys
Avi Arad has done more harm for Spider-Man than good tbh
Avi Arad is a scumbag who deserves 0 thanks.

Alfred Molina as Dr Octavius easily made this my favorite of the three movies. I love the villains that aren't actually villains necessarily. After the chip got damaged, the AI took him over, so he spends the whole movie fighting to take back control on and off.
He really did just want to give people cheap energy, but after the AI took over and he started doing whatever he had to.
Loved seeing him in the new one as well. Can't wait for you to get to watch it. It's an amazing movie.
The advice he gives is deeper than how simple it sounds. It's more along the lines of a coyote chewing his leg off to get out of a trap. The advise is physical, and emotional. Go for your dreams, BUT dont lose what you have or yourself along the way.
It was an amalgam of two quotes, aswell. The quote doctor octavius said and peter's aunts. Saying with all this knowledge you have responsibility the same way with great power comes great responsibility.
Movie begins: These arms are impervious to heat and MAGNETISM.
A lot of reactors at the end of the movie: Why is the Sun not sucking in the arms?
😂🤦♀️
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Maguire made $4 million as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the first Spider-Man movie. He received a massive raise for Spider-Man 2 and was paid $17.5 million, along with five percent of the movie's box office gross.
According to my research, Tobey Maguire made around 37mill for all three Spider Man movies. William Dafoe wasn't supposed to be in this movie, but he had stopped by the set one day and the writers asked if he could cameo in the movie and he agreed. He also put on the Doc Ock suit and did the scene at the demonstration as a joke.
the Doctor Octopus storyline and unfolding, even his psychology, is very remarkable, the scene where Spidey stops the train and everibody sees his face but they keep the secret is the best super hero moment ever
One of my favorite gags in anything is whenever someone does some crazy stunt and claims to kids that eating thier vegetables is how they got this cool ability. Absolutely classic.
My favourite sequel, it showed all the struggles and obstacles Peter had to go through apart from being Spider-Man. Also the ending of this movie really set Harry up to be the villain of the next movie which was something everybody was talking about after this movie came back
Just subscribed man your comedy in your reactions are gold 😂

Ocks arms the reason they aren't affected by the sun before the demonstration he said they are impervious to heat and magnetism
I forgot that him falling and landing on the cars is were he gets his lower back problem he mentions later on.
I don't believe for a second, someone with a literal Amazing Spider-Man sticker on their door has NEVER seen these movies before.
Yeah he lies
He literally says in the video that he's seen it before, this isn't the hot take that you think it is.
I think the reason why Doc Ock's arms aren't pulled into the little Sun is that they are non magnetic. Only ferrous metals get pulled in because of the magnetism of the fusion reaction...or some kind of movie science shenanigans.
Yeah... which then begs the question how exactly Otto's wife Rosalie died. Even when the metallic window frames were pulled into the machine the glass shards should not have had the momentum to instantly kill her.
@@michaelklaus yeah... Um that...that is movie magic. We aren't supposed to question that part haha.
It shouldnt have been glass that killed her. They could have easily have done something to where like a hunk of metal hit her hard enough to kill her.
Doc Ock literally explained they're resistant to heat and magnetism
Wow. You may have just convinced me that I need to give re-watches more of a chance. I didn't even realize you've seen this before until you mentioned it near the end. Great reaction, Alex! Thanks for sharing with us
I Googled because I was curious. He made 4 million for the first movie, 17.5 million for the second movie and 5% from the box office gross and 15 million on Spider Man 3 but 7.5% from it
I absolutely LOVE that you asked about fusion energy. Scientists made a huge breakthrough a couple months ago. You should look it up it's fascinating.
Lol dude, this was one of your best commentaries ever!! I laughed so much!
I have the Amazing Spider-Man comic 50 where he is no more Spider-Man. It also has my favorite villain Kingpin. Kingpin’s first appearance as well
You can make a miniature fusion reaction last I checked the problem is keeping it running and if you manage to do that the question is how do you contain it so it doesn't destroy everything around it?
Thermonuclear weapons are fusion based and basically make a small temporary sun wherever they hit.
The main reason so many are exited for fusion energy breakthroughs is efficiency and ease of fuel access. Because with fusion you can basically use water as fuel by separating it into oxygen and hydrogen. Also last I checked fission (regular nuclear power) is like 40% efficient meanwhile fusion is 100% efficient.
Always enjoy the random innuendo! Keep doing your thing, Bro
your funny comments and giving yourself the finger gets me every time! lmao
Jameson's son said he was back on the moon because he's an astronaut, lol

30:46 The quote is basically saying that doing what’s right is more important than chasing your dream.
Which I do agree with. Especially when chasing your dream makes you push away others. Which is especially bad when the ones you push away are your family, like your kids.
Your poetry 😂😂😂 definitely needed that laugh lmao
I love the tree in the sun lamp you have in the background where you get it from? dope!
In my head canon, just as Doc Ock is going around the building the last thing he heard was 'Hurt Peter.' Hurt Peter? Ok, go it! 😆
The "Oh boy yeah" is a classic line forever 😂
the train scene was filmed in my city of chicago. the train is called the loop as it loops around the downtown area and very close to buildings and skyscrapers like this
On the topic of fusion, like a couple weeks ago it was actually done for the first time succesfully and its a huge deal, what a time to be alive
It is a bit overrated but you have to look at the state of super hero movies back then. Eric BANA Hulk and daredevil. This and x 2 were the tops
In fact and this is just off the top of my head, so please correct me if any or this is wrong but RDJ saves not only his career but the MCU. I don't think anyone really gave a shit about Iron Man and if I recall Captain America and Thor didn't make a lot of noise. But the charisma he brought to that character really carried the movie and in turn the monster that marvel movies became.
Without these Spider-Man Films there wouldn't be an MCU. There wouldn't have been any Iron Man or Captain America films. The redemption of RDJ wouldn't be the same. Disney wouldn't have even bought Marvel and created the MCU without the success of the first two Spider-Man Films. All of that hinged on the success of the first two Spider-Man Films.
@@MrJholshouser41 Actually, Iron Man was a huge hit when it first came out and so was Captain America. Thor was considered a good movie but was considered the lesser of the three. It was the success of those three movies that launched the MCU. It was the success of the first two Spider-Man movies that gave movie studios confidence in making movies based off Marvel properties like Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.
The reality is that those Marvel Characters had always had popularity in culture but it was mostly animated due to the special effects not being up to par to do them. There was talk when I was a kid of Marvel movies back in the early 90s but the effects just weren't there yet.
I wouldn't think its overrated
Sam Raimi did it so clever. He made Peter lose everything and with everything i mean everything. Harry, Marry Jane, Ant Mey, his Jobs, his powers, even had no luck getting an appetizer. I remember how down i was and how i felt for peter when i saw this the first time. Thing is, in the end he almost gets everything back except Harry. When you finish this movie it leaves you behind with an extremly good feeling although you came from almost nothing and that makes this movie so watchable.
Love the fight scenes in this so much and Alfred Molina is exceptional in this movie.

I used to cashier at this rinky dink Midwest grocery store, and I’m an avid credit card guy, I watch out for new cards and cycle intro bonuses. This guy comes in one day and gets a big ass cart of groceries. Total was like $350, I asked if he wanted to round up or donate to this local boy who was hit in the head by a piece of rebar from a lawnmower across the street. Key words: To do what’s RIGHT we have to give up our dreams sometimes. Sometimes are dreams weighed against something else can not be the right option…
Doc Oc hearing voices in his head is different from having two different personalities of Green Goblin. Green goblin has dissociative identity disorder (DiD). Even though the voices of the tentacles are real, hearing voices is more like Schizophrenia (Losing touch with reality).
I wouldn’t say overrated, still iconic & ground breaking for the super hero genre at the time, as well as being an incredible Spider-Man story, but there are those people with nostalgia glasses on that make it seem like it’s flawless & aged perfectly
That time is NOT now. Now ... it's overrated for sure.
@@RevJ7 Thats not how that works
You judge media based on when it was created.
It's like bashing the PS2 for having bad graphics compared to the PS5
@@RevJ7 The issue with that mentality is that you could argue the same for any ground breaking film of any kind in the past, they’re not by today’s standards but at the time they were & paved the way for everything else. There’s plenty of more valid reasons to feel it’s overrated
@@MartelAndQueenkinda. It the time it was pretty well rated. Now it’s overrated cuz people think nothing can top it and that’s not true there are multiple movies now that are way better
I never thought it was that great when it came out. There were a lot of parts that were just too cliche or cheesy for me (like the bank vault full of white bags with gold coins to throw around, Doc Oc talking to himself with the arms, etc.)
I can’t remember who pointed this out, but it’s amazing how much of a sacrificial hero Peter Parker is. He has a huge taste of how bad his personal life is because of being Peter Parker as Spider-Man-losing friendships and the girl he loves, failing school, getting fired, not making rent, etc. But not only that.. when he gives up being Spider-Man, he gets a taste of having everything that Peter Parker could want. Being there for his friends, family and the girl of his dreams, passing class, making rent, doing well at his jobs. But then he realizes what it costs the world when he gives up the moral responsibility of having those powers. Having had a taste of the good life, he STILL chooses to sacrifice it all, sacrifice his life as Peter Parker just to do the right thing for the greater good, even though he gets the crap kicked out of him and the press hates him and sometimes the people hate him. He still knows enough that it’s the right thing to do, that he’s willing to make that sacrifice. Truly heroic.
I completely forgot that Bruce Campbell played the usher at the play in the beginning... GEEK DEMI-GOD
"Badminton on the Moon" is definitely and indie music album somewhere lol
*Spider-Man 2 & Logan* are the only two Marvel Movies i consider 10/10! They understood what they've to deliver to the general audience who aren't familiar with the beauty of Comic Books & both of the movie does that perfectly while adapting the stories & making changes that'll not affect the original source material that much either 🛐
It’s your opinion but objectively Spider-Man 2 is nowhere near to a 10/10, it’s more of a 7.5/10. A 10/10 movie is a masterpiece, one of the best movies of all time, it fulfills every filmmaking aspect and it doesn’t have any flaws and the acting except from 2 actors is bad and the writing is far from perfect, it has the worse written relationship in a Spidey movie, and it has multiple plot holes like Peter allowing himself to be unmakes by Harry and one of the biggest plot holes in a Spider-Man movie with the scene in the cafeteria.
Doc Ock plan…Before the accident that caused him to become the villainous Doctor Octopus, Otto Octavious wanted to create a sustainable fashion reactor. After the accident, he still wants to create it even though there is no reason.
Doc Ock attack on Peter and MJ is one of the biggest plot holes in a SM movie, it’s so horrible. Harry told Doc Ock to look for Peter, who he believed to be friends with Spider-Man but asked him not to harm Peter. Doc Ock agreed and found Peter in a café with MJ and attacked them by throwing a car at them, but luckily, the plot gave Peter the powers back with no explanation as to why and how but just because. But Doc Ock didn’t know Peter was Spider-Man, so he didn’t know he had powers that could save him and MJ from being hit by the flying car, and he needed Peter to locate Spider-Man so Harry would give him the tritium he desperately needed.
Etc…TWD, Logan, Spiderverse, etc, are way better.

Yes ,you can build a sun, but not by fusion. Stars are electrial objects that are powered by the Birkeland Currents that they are located on.
An experiement called the Safire Project was carried out to be used for an energy source. They were successful and it output much more power than they anticipated and had to dial it back. LOL
There were also other effects that they are going to capitalize on as a business. It is a pretty interesting process.

"can you build another sun like that"
We're getting far closer to that answer being an emphatic yes. We've achieved ignition and net positive energy (post ignition) it's about learning how to sustain it now
We are so far from creating another sun lmao
It's no, it takes way more energy to even come close to creating one anyways
11:13 Theoretically you can, but nothing that exact to the Sun because it's a star. You can harness fusion energy into an endless energy source theoretically, but I don't think we're there yet, mainly because of the damage it would cause. As a result, people have mainly been developing cold fusion energy instead. It's nowhere near finished, but we're getting there.
