The spatula to press the command strip behind the stove... The paper stencil for the outlet... The ziplock bags for applying the grout stuff so I don't have to buy another tool... The parchment paper on the wall...Absolutely in awe of your ingenuity ❤️
Your husband at the end! Such sweet comments, it's lovely seeing you two interact with each other! Great job on the backsplash, it looks fantastic. You always have so much patience and creativity with fixing the inevitable hangups that happen during DIYs, and it's a real inspiration.
fantastic, really at first I couldn't imagine how good it would be. Congratulations, I love your solutions and how much you dedicate yourself to the execution. I agree with your husband, you are great! 👏👏👏👏
Hi! I’m a professional interior designer and I absolutely love your content. You’re so innovative and I’m a huge fan of your renter friendly hacks. I’m in the commercial side of design but man, you make me want to do residential.
Love how your videos are always REAL diy….things us normal people can actually do or at least get inspiration from, and it’s always so beautiful. Really love your work and channel
What i enjoy most about Dalia's videos, the evolution of her process , finding ways to bring her beautiful visions to life, always with the challenge of renter friendly hacks. Backsplash is brilliant! If you find the drywall compound cracking along seams, try using caulk used for color matching grout in showers where movement would otherwise crack.😻
Omg Dahlia... Even the "yellow" wooden cabinets look amazing combined with the faux stone. This DIY is seriously mind blowing!!! I loved every single minute of this video! 😍
Your husband is amazing and how much he loves Yu....And that backsplash Is Wicked .. Totally Gave that kitchen a lot of character and warmth ..I think this is my Favorite Diy backsplash Ever as far as faux renter friendly ..You knocked this one out the park Dahlia 🥰❣️👍
I'm in LOVE with the backsplash! I'm obsessed with "natural" stuff like stones and rocks as a feature wall/piece/furniture/trinket so this will totally tie in!
Amazing! This was so creative and brought so much character to the kitchen! Don't wait for command to knock on your door, send an email and ask them to sponsor you! I bet they would be thrilled if they saw this video! 🥰
I was very skeptical at first, but this looks amazing! It really ties the light cupboards in with the counters now. I wouldn’t do above the cupboards. I think it looks good as it is. Save yourself some stress!
I don't usually comment on videos, but I have to agree with your husband! You are so talented and special! I love your videos and what you are able to do despite the challenges that come with planning such tasks. As someone who also struggles with ADHD I know how hard it can be to FINISH a project! I have had half finished DIY's kicking around for years until I loose hope and throw it out. So thank you for giving all of us ADHDers a glimmer of hope!! Love you!
I love your creativity. So many people move into rentals and think there is nothing they can do, to make it theirs. You inspire people. Keep up the good work!!❤️
The colors in the tiles makes the cabinets look soooo much more modern! I didn't anticipate that, but the stone colors brought out the cool tones in the cabinets, and deemphasized the yellow/orange ones. Soo beautiful!
I really really like your idea for the faux stone backsplash...I do NOT have the patience to do that. I actually used faux tile contact paper for my backsplash. 🤗
Hello Dalia! Passing by just to say that you sharing about adhd brought me to a later diagnose at 39 yo. You are making a huge difference in my life and i’d like to thank you A LOT. I love your channel and your work, always here to support you! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
DALIA this is *so* wildly amazing!!! It is seriously stunning and so legit. I always appreciate how your projects are so unique and so well done, and this project is the epitome of that. I also like that you take us along the journey to give a representative view of the true diy experience- it’s fun, and also shows that setbacks are to be expected and worked through. You are such a solid, creative creator - we are lucky to have you share your work & life here. Keep up the stellar work!!!
Oh Dalia, you've really outdone yourself this time! I've been looking for a way to get this look in a rental for soooo long. 100% buying these stones cause you made them look TOO GOOD. Amazing job! ❤
I saw the short of this and I HAD to look up the video! It’s so beautiful. Thank you so much for the idea! You’re husband is totally right!!! You ARE so talented 😃 it really does look so beautiful!
This is perfection! Thank you so much for offering amazing content with peaceful, unobtrusive music, and easy to follow clearly stated instructions! You made me believe that I could do this, too!💜
Love this! I have always wanted this look. Joanna Gaines has this on her kitchen set! My rental kitchen is the same with just drywall. I might just try this! Thank you for showing me the way!! 🎉🎈❤
You are such an inspiration! As a renter, I appreciate your showing us options that we can apply to take our rentals to a next level, yet still be easy to remove. I have been wanting this in my kitchen too. As usual, your handiwork turned out looking great!
Guys remember to like the video and leave a comment as this helps the channel. Dalia does wonderful home diy a lot of work goes into creating theses videos. Thanks Dalia for your hard work i love your videos.
It looks so real!! I wish I had this video to reference when I was renting, would have 100% attempted it. Also your boyfriends reaction was precious, “you’re so talented” my heart 🥹
Hahaha you married your own cheerleader 📣 🥳 loved this makeover! And it’s good that you’re working on the growth of your channel and reminding us how important it is for you, that we are active viewers. You go girl!
I haven't hopped on this trend of the stone, but it looks super beautiful and you guys did a great job 👏🏾.. ps. I have liked n comments.. I always like your video before it has even started because I know I will like it lol... I love how supportive your husband is .. I love that you ♥️ left that in
It looks cool. I am just wondering of you plan to seal it? I am a messy cook and I can't imagine having a backsplash that I can't wipe off without taking off the joint compound
Really like this idea! ❤️ Curious, why didn't you use actual grout instead of the drywall stuff? I'm not very familiar with either so I'm wondering if using grout would have still given you the effect you were after without needing as much touchup work after drying 🤔
And btw, EXCELLENT design selection, it pairs really well with your existing cabinets, which is sometimes hard to find in rental friendly options 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
grout is a lot more expensive than drywall compound. also grout is like a weaker form of cement, still very strong stuff. it is not as easy to remove or wipe away when it dries. drywall compound is a lot more forgiving and convenient for projects like this.
@@tori6678 thanks so much, so informative! I think I'm going to attempt this technique with similar stone panels for a space in my rental so I'm super appreciative of your reply ❤️
I love that you said that you love it and that’s what mostly matters! A lot of UA-camrs give their viewers way too much say so and just idk control of their decisions and such. So good for you!
@@DIYDalia Have you ever asked your landlord if they would like to keep the upgrades that you do. I have a clause with my renter that they can make improvements as long as they don't touch the foundation or other structural parts of the house. You put so much thought into your work that I would love to move into a place after you've decorated it :)
The backsplash looks so beautiful while still keeping it renter-friendly! And your husband's reaction was so sweet, it's so nice having someone in your corner like this.
Honestly it’s FABulous!!! 🥰😍🥰😍. Your passion for the stone look mirrors mine. I realized I want that in my future a few years ago. And having seen this as a way to bring it inside the home is so inspiring. Also, I see backslashes, even the real thing in homes and I’m like blah 😝 Nothing I liked. I rent too and and finally asked the landlord if I could paint cabinets and doors. He said yes and provided the paint. NOW I see this and I’m like THAT is the backsplash I would be so happy with! Yippee yay!! Now to find it, will be the struggle as it is unavailable by your link to Amazon. Oh well the search is on. Thank you thank you for your beautiful idea and video! Peace and Happy DIY! 💖
Dalia you are like me...thirty years ago! I wish those products were available back then....I especially like your sweet husband and how he actively supports you! You GO girl!
Love the ingenuity of this backspace! It works as a unique renter friendly option but also for us homeowners who don't t want to commit to the expense of a trendy backsplash only to regret the decision in a few years. Love ❤️ this project! 😍🥰😊❤️☀️🦩

my favorite part is your husbands reaction, I'm so glad you left it in. Sometimes I wonder if he is really into your DIY's but, to see him so excited was really good
This turned out amazing! I absolutely love stone walls, gives so much characte and adds a vintage feel to it. Makes things so much more "homey" and warm. If that makes sense. And your husband at the end, so sweet!!! Such kind words he says to you, he supports you and it shows. Then his little giggle! You two are adorable❤
Dalia, I appreciate how you never allow any project to defeat your vision. I find the resilience now to stay the course and discover my finishes. I've adored all of your designs and how your husband assists in projects. Teamwork makes the dream work. Much ❤️ and continued success.
You are such an inspiration to all of us who don't have the patience or skills you have. I love that you are so methodical and explain to us how you execute the project. I look forward to others in the future. I agree with one of the posts about your husband. Your a beautiful couple.
