This is why you go to to a Kasey Chambers concert. Not only will you hear the old favourites, but you will be blown away by something she just seems to pull out of her genius mind!

Kasey is the youngest person to be inducted to the A.R.I.A (Australian Recording Industry Association) hall of fame. She is known for giving her all to her performances and she shows that off quite well here. Amazing song, and was good watching your emotion expressed in your face when she hit certain notes.
That was off the charts. Kasey has made this her own. I've heard people say that when they listen to this cover of Lose Yourself they actually listen to the lyrics for the first time. It's a great tribute to Eminem's brilliance. Nice reaction, but just a hint, let it go to the end. It's nice to see the audience reaction too.😊

Good reaction. Kasey joined her parent's band (Dead Ringer Band) at 9, then went solo at 22 (1998). She's got about a dozen albums under her belt and is a well-known Australian Country artist. If you want to hear more from her normal wheelhouse, I'd suggest 'Aint no little girl' as your next listen.
BTW, just a suggestion. If you re-watch your video, you'll see your camera needs to be a bit more to the left so you don't lose your face behind the video. As you got more animated in your reaction, you tended to move more, making it worse. Maybe put a 'holder' in place for the start (before the reaction starts) - even just your logo. This will stop it from looking strange to start with. Or if you're using video editing software, zoom yourself in to start with. Thanks.

The first phase was folk, the second country and the last pure rock and roll, talk about a change of mood, and then to loose yourself in the performance!

Amazing performance from a real artist, the way she took this apart & then put it back together is simply incredible, imo it highlights Eminem's awesome lyrics even more. Makes Swifty, Perry & the bubblegum pretenders look very amateur indeed.

Thanks for doing this one! This gives me chills every single time I hear it. Kasey going from that resigned, laid back approach early in the song to the fighting emotion later is beyond powerful! 💪🏼 Kasey is very under appreciated and needs to be recognised more on an international scale! Kasey is a master of storytelling, conveying lyrics and emotion! She is an icon in the Australian music industry, mostly for country and folk, but has her own style and is never afraid to delve into something outside the box. She is just getting better as she gets older. I really hope that Eminem has seen this and appreciates that his song and lyrics were re-imagined in such a spectacular way. I guess he has, as he did give her permission to upload to Spotify etc. Would really like to hear what he thought about it though. Where else would you see head-banging with a banjo, steel guitar and rock band together? Kasey started her solo commercial career around the same time as Eminem and she was a big fan of his music. From what I understand, Kasey spent lockdown playing around with some of her favourite songs and this version of Lose Yourself is the result. Brilliant! Kasey has spent her whole solo career bucking the constraints of the record companies and always gone her way. She made it to the top in Aussie music anyway with many awards, becoming the youngest ever ARIA Hall of Fame recipient. BTW….how was that for breath and vocal control? Not to mention the awesome arrangement. ❤ Also, that was Kasey’s Dad, Bill, on the steel guitar. The band was absolutely spectacular as well. Full kudos to Eminem for his songwriting. Personally, the reason Kasey’s version affects me so much is all down to the fact that she did lose herself in the music, the moment during this performance. She is a true blue Aussie who will leave her soul bared on stage every single time. ❤
