I was at the Women in Music Awards Brisbane Oct 2nd 2024 .Casey Chambers Ripped the Roof off . The entire Music Hall was standing,screaming,crying ,Casey owned this song her band were just so awesome! She honoured Eminem.

As a teenager I would Always hassle him for the same song every time I was Lucky enough to be present for a sing along/"jam" session with him being the main performer. I am now in my late 60's and have enjoyed his career and then to the extension of the Deadringer band, that was made up, basically, of his wife and their 2 children and the beginnings of Kasey's career! I am an Aussie metalhead and got dragged kicking and screaming to a Kasey gig way back in 2004... never have I headbanged more at a gig than at that performance at the Coogee RSL! And they pigeon hole her as Country... that gig was as far from Country as I could ever have imagined, yes there was some country-like elements but there was also blues, R n B, hard rock elements just as much. Kasey is a freak of a talent, so proud she is a skip.

It was about the time Jim Haynes put out his comedy albums with the likes of when Cheryl went feral and a few others like Luke o Shea with medicine wheel did a few funny ones that drew me into the rest of their work. The live music scene was still awesome back around then and really rocked and was properly live. I moved away from easy access to gigs and lost touch a bit and some artists I followed went a bit more country than rock so I lost touch with new music.

I saw this song performed by her live at the Gippsland Country Festival in country Victoria 2022 and to say the video doesn’t do it justice, is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! It was absolutely mind blowing and the crowd was so taken back that you could hear a pin drop!! Kasey has been my idol since I was a child. Her voice and acouple of her songs have been quite controversial over the years people either absolutely love her or they absolutely hate her, there isn’t any middle ground. I have been watching/listening to her songs since then.Such an amazing rendition of this song,not many people can make a rap song their own like she did . even Eminem approved it,she got it up on Spotify(that says enough)

@@Dizle81, all that really means is he's happy to take his share of the royalties (rightfully so, he wrote it). Whether he liked it or not - or has even heard it for that matter - is still unknown

I'm an Aussie and l wasn't really into her music as lm not a country music fan, but she loves Eminem and so did this. There are a couple of songs like the Captain n this l just love.

My favourite all-time Kasey song used to be "Rattlin Bones'' but now it's "Lose Yourself". From a family band called the "Dead Ringer Band" to this.... amazing... A couple of years ago i bought few kasey chambers records on vinyl at different times. both came with hand written notes from her mum, and were signed. Quality people. My wifes gig, but i love her too now
