@vkmusic2727 I've heard similar things from people who were there in Newcastle when she played it. Apparently the audience just stood there, mesmerised and stunned by the end.
@@julianaFinn many reactors have commented on that, wondering why the audience isn't standing up and cheering. It's a hard thing to impress an audience into rapt attention. Kasey's level of commitment in this piece is breathtaking ✌️
If you want to hear what she sounds like in her normal wheelhouse, I recommend 'Aint no little girl'. I love her willingness to show her emotions in her singing. BTW, the bloke on the slide guitar is her Dad.
I remember seeing an interview with Kasey 10 or so years ago where they asked her what music she liked listening to, and she said she really liked Eminem. It shows here. You can tell she really appreciates the song. To me the original version feels like someone trying to rise above something. Kaseys version feels like a prequel, like an explanation of what they're trying to rise above.

Kasey Chambers is a Aussie country singer has been in the industry for twenty five years this is a live performance her last song after a two hour concert and she did well sent the audience on a journey thru all the emotions this song takes
Yes Kasey has had a 25 yr career solo. A further 9 yrs when she was younger in the family band ' the dead ringer band'. Youngest artist to be inducted in the Australian music hall of fame. Living music legend in Australia.
Loved your sincere and vulnerable reaction to our little Aussie Battler Kasey. Gives all of us Aussies immense pride to see the world enjoying her unsocial. Keep it up mate.
Kasey is already a legend; 6 times country artist of the year and hall of famer! If you’re interested she has an old cover of Seven Nation Army (live at the Ark) that is really cool and I think you will love her personality!!!
Hell yeah, she deserves that for sure. And, absolutely. If she did this with Em then I'm interested in any cover she touches lol. Thanks for the suggestion. Much love 🙏

Kasey is in her late 40’s now but has been an advocate for doing what you love, no matter what the music industry thinks, her whole solo career! ❤ Kasey needs worldwide recognition for her art and for being a pure heart. ❤
She certainly succeeded in being a rare gem that stands out. The industry tries to mould too much and I love that Kasey remained genuine to her own path. Thank you so much for watching. Much love ❤️
I can’t tell you how happy I am that you reacted to this! I’m all about a live performance, and I would have loved to have been at this one.
