Let me just say this,,, I was a veterinary technician for over 25 years and this veterinarian is a breath of fresh air! I retired because I could no longer deal with working with the money hungry veterinarians here where I live. Many tug on the heart strings of pet owners, lay guilt trips if clients can't do expensive treatments like chemo etc. This guy is dead on point about this ear treatment and I'm so glad I just came across this video because he has renewed my faith that there are still some good vets out there. If he had a practice near me I would gladly come out of retirement!

I agree with Dr. Jones' treatments. I have used Monistat on my dogs' ears for yeast infection. I also have discovered that Yogurt PREVENTS yeast ear infections. and thus have not had to treat ear infections in years! My PitBull, that was so prone to yeast infections in her ears now has one TB of Yogurt on top of her non-grain food once per day.

We've had 2 dogs that were constantly at vets for ear infections (yeast). They would give a pill to clear it up, but would only do so for maybe couple weeks, then it's back. All they can or will do is coverups, not treat the dog. Reason, is like you said, they just care about the money. Makes me do mad. I don't go back anymore. I put bentonite clay in it, and it sure helps a lot. If I miss a day or two, it gets terrible.

Tried the tea / ac vinegar on my mom’s dog who was MISERABLE with an ear infection and possibly allergies, constant shaking of his head, scratching his ear, face stained with mucky tears, whining! Vet meds not working and expensive! He was so miserable he let me do it, he’s not normally one to hold still. He shook his head like crazy to get it out after I stopped rubbing his ear, and then he let me do it again (I only had a small syringe), and twenty minutes later still NO HEAD SHAKING or scratching! Tail wagging! Thank you so much, we’ve been looking for a natural and affordable solution THAT WORKS. Will continue as you said for 5 - 7 days (twice a day). I might give more, maybe three times a day if needed... it seems to be such a relief for him.
    THANK YOU KIND SOUL.

It’s right where the ear comes out of their heads! Today was the third time we’ve had it drained he’s had steroids and antibiotics prescribed the steroid were awful my poor dog had accidents in the house ON the couch ☹️ he’s always been a flapper he’s always shaken his head! So would this solution still work if he’s wearing a no flap ear wrap? Why is his ear STILL filling up w/blood?? 😓💔 H E L P all he had was supposedly yeast no infection!!

This works. My money grabbing vet refused to give repeat prescriptions but insisted on a personal consultation every time infection happened ….. charged me a ridiculous fee to lift the dogs ear and say yes it’s another infection and then the medication fee. This is a miracle cure and has resulted in a very happy dog and a much poorer greedy vet

in fairness, vet's put in a lot of effort and time to pursue this career, and often are hundreds of thousands in debt after veterinary school. I think people forget what it takes for them to get there, greed sucks for sure but how can they treat something they can't see, you can't trust the word of someone who isn't a vet telling you it is the same thing, they do that to protect their jobs, it would be unethical if not illegal to treat and prescribe medicine for a dog they haven't physically seen. Common sense would tell most people this but for every greedy vet there are 100,000 dumb people.

@@JimboBillyBob and I think you forget too that some of these vets out there are not honest and then can go ahead and call you in or have you pick up the prescription at the office without seeing the dog again when you know exactly it’s the same infection all over again. I rescued a sharp and I’ve been fighting ear infection in this dog for over a year. He keeps doing the exact same thing exact medication. It’s not going away, so I’m gonna give this a try but I’ve seen two different videos. The other one says green tea and the amount of ACV is totally different so I don’t know which one to use and I need to get out my dogs ears cause he does not feel good and I’m tired of wasting my money at the vet. It’s very expensive anymore

I am from the Philippines and I am very grateful for this very helpful video. With my dog's ear infection, I tried green tea and apple cider vinegar, and it worked at first but it recurred again. Then I tried virgin coconut oil, it worked and then recurred. Before going to the vet, I tried clotrimazole which I bought from local drugstore (10 mg tube costing 150 pesos equivalent to almost 3 dollars). I put some into my dog's ears and did it twice a day and presto the infection vanished. My dog now seldom shakes its head. Thanks to you doctor I was able to save for a vet's fee. God bless.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Green Tea concoction worked like a million bucks. Thank you so much! A little background: our Schnauzer had something going on with his left ear, we suspected a yeast infection, so we took him to the vet (Banfield, in case you're wondering), where they confirmed our supsicions, cleaned his ears, and gave us a little tiny bottle of baytril otic. All that for only $200.00! The medicine did clear up his infection, but a few weeks after that his right ear showed signs of the same thing, and there wasn't enough medicine left for a full cycle, so we called the vet to see if they could maybe give us a new precscription. They said, "No, absolutely not, come in for an examination." Hard not to view their actions as money grubbing, but whatever. It led us to the internet and here we are. Thanks again...

This is absolutely amazing. I have used organic apple cider vinegar and green tea to treat my pure white American bulldogs ear infection. The reason I need videos like these is because my white dogs are prone to having more allergies and vets bills are just disgusting. They made me pay £26 for a packet of anti bacterial wipes... they pulled guilt trips on me and all sorts. I have 2 pure white dogs and this is truely a relief because I seriously can’t sffo Hundreds of pounds a month!! Just to treat an infection that won’t go away. I went to the shop to buy some apple cider vinegar (organic) and green tea. My poor girl was shaking her head all night for 3 days and itching her head on everything. As I watched I paused and treated. I had all of this already on hand, except for now I dusted his food with a bit of Tumeric. This is about 4 hours later and he is already feeling less itchy. Thank you for this honest video. Greedy vets almost cost me my best friend - it was a UA-cam video that taught me how to save him almost 8 months ago. Thank you Doctor! I paused the video & did the apple cider & green tea in my Yorkie's ears. I did both because I'm not even sure if he has an ear ache. But, I just got over a serious ear ache & never ever had an ear ache before myself. I noticed my dog with unfamiliar behavior/symptoms & looked you up ((because I trust you & love all your videos & knowledge you share with us)) From what you described, it looks like he may have an ear infection. He doesn't like to be held down. But I layed him on his side & started messaging his ear & he just layed there without a fight! So I prepared the remedy & when it cooled off, I layed him down again, inserted the apple cider vinegar & green tea into one ear, massaged it & wipped the excess away with a cotton ball. He did not move & allowed me to do both ears! I could tell he really wanted some attention to his ear/ears. Now he's laying down just relaxing & I feel a sigh of relief to helping my baby feel better. Thank you so much! May you continue to be Blessed so that you may Bless others like us.

I hope they’re many of us out there who believe in alternative medicines. I think it’s in my blood, one of my great grandfathers was an Indian herb doctor. If I gave my dog something that harmed him, even if it was recommended by a vet, I would never forgive myself. I prefer safe all natural treatments. There are more and more vets coming on board, but being ostracized by their peers for doing so. I understand vets need to make money, but like in the medical field, not at the expense of patient safety and health. I often wonder what happened to the creed “do no harm”?

I watched this video and did the ACV green tea solution ear wash with a clotrimazole (athletes foot cream) on my Basset Hound. We had been to the vet a few times before with varying effectiveness. I was skeptical of this natural alternative but there was noticeable improvement towards 12 to 24 hours and by Day 3 the infection was resolved. Learned a lot about yeast and controlling their populations on my dog to prevent ear and paw infections.

Thank you. We have a Treeing Walker Coonhound who is approximately 10 years old that we rescued 4 years ago. He had a chronic right ear infection when we got him and we have been taking him to the vet for treatment for it since then which is usually antibiotics and steroids for the inflammation. Otherwise, he is a healthy boy. Last week he was diagnosed at the ER with an inner ear infection-losing his balance, no appetite, tilting his head, vomiting/nausea. This has not happened before so his ear is getting worse. It seemed to happen so suddenly-he was fine in the morning and 5 hours later when I returned home from work, he was not. He is on antibiotics (for 20 days) and was given anti-nausea meds which ended yesterday after 1 week. He is doing much better, but his ear infection will not go away and has been diagnosed before as bacterial. A year ago the vet used a camera to see inside his ear and said it was scarred and inflamed. They have suggested a TECA "total ear canal ablation" as the only solution now, which sounds barbaric, but we were considering it after this last episode. The ER Vet also suggested a CT scan to rule out anything else. After watching your video, I checked his food and there is grain in there along with turkey and venison. I will try the diet experiment with the unique protein and unique carbohydrate-no grain. Would I still use the flax oil and 95% Curcumnoids with his test food, or first try the oil and curcuminoids with his current food to see if that makes a difference? I will also try the green tea, but I'll wait on adding the ACV. I am hoping the tea will be soothing for him so he will enjoy it like Pearl did. Thank you again.

I have watched your videos for years now and I respect and value your opinion and diagnosis and treatments. I have a couple chihuahuas and a golden. We moved to the deep country recently and have had a hard time for Fred, the Golden to adapt. First, a few months after we moved I was walking him as I normally did and when we came to the mailbox Fred changed his behavior. I didn’t understand what was going on, I was just trying to check the mail. Fred would not let me walk any closer and then it happened. A copperhead snake struck him in the neck and he tried to grab it with his teeth and it bit him again in the jaw by his whiskers. I was in shock it struck my shoe but missed my foot. I came to my senses and took back control. I messaged our vet and they told me to give him Benadryl and aspirin and bring him in the morning. Fred is a big boy and five minutes after this happened he started crying out and he collapsed and my daughter and I put him in the car and located the nearest animal hospital. We headed that way and the receptionist I spoke with told me to try my best to get him the in one hour or less. My daughter sat in the back with him and gave him the aspirin and Benadryl. The hospital was over an hour away, he was crying out and white drool was foaming out of his mouth and he was swelling bad. It took me about 45 minutes to get there and I had to fill out the paperwork and then they took him back. They gave him something for pain and swelling and discussed my options to me. I was desperate thinking my Fred would pass away. I agreed to over two thousand dollars at the low end of treatment with it not exceeding 3,500. The gave him antidote an pain medicine and kept him for a few hours for observation. We stayed with Fred until he was stable. They sent him home with gabapentin and anti-nausea meds. He made a full recovery besides his scar and mild muscle damage. I waited a few weeks then took him to my vet and they told me I was severely over charged and that Fred would not have passed away if I had waited until the morning to bring him in to see them. Lesson learned…country life is hard. The next episode was a skunk spray but I looked in your videos and made your solution and it worked. Thank you for your honesty in treating our fur babies. I am trying this ear remedy next in my chihuahua. I will also check your website to see if I can order some of your treatments.

Your old dog is used to the ear wash and loves it.
    Love your ideas.
As RN the meds you show I considered but my local vet preferred to sell me a small tube for 75 $
Love a person works on dog health and not how to drain the clients pockets.

Thank you so much for making this video. This is so helpful for the community of dog owners who are not trying not to spend an arm and a leg at a vet visit. My dog had an ear infection that's lasted all summer. Nothing was working. I tried your method with the green tea and the anti-fungal cream and it worked! Yeah! My dog is back to being one happy camper! Thanks again Doctor!

I asked my vet about ACV for these recurring ear infections and was immediately shot down. I’ve used it for one day and already see a difference. Thank you
