I am just watching this. My cat who had advanced cardiomyopathy was only drinking this in his last 3 months of his life. He refused water. I didn’t know it was good for heart disease and fluid buildup. I only knew it was ok for cats. He was able to die peacefully at home just by falling asleep after having had 15 years of a great life with us.

We just adopted a dog with heart issues. she had a very swollen tummy and taking a water pill twice daily. After watching you I put her on Hawthorne and dandelion leaf extracts. Her belly is now normal size. Thanks.

Most excellent! Giving it to my woofers every day, and I take it too. TODAY is the day to start taking it! My dog was having heart failure and high blood pressure,, and he had lots of fluid making it hard for him to breathe. It was incredible how quickly it worked to get rid of the excess fluid. He was back up running and playing in about 2 weeks. Because I add local raw honey to the dogs' diet (and mine) it makes dandelion much easier to consume. I also cook for my dogs, so I add the root and leaf of the dandelion to (meat, poultry) broth. Amazing dandelion! Thanks Dr Jones! You are the BEST veterinarian for my BEST FRIENDS!! BigPharma is making it harder and harder to treat naturally. We can be healthy without harmful Rx drugs.
I wish I had known about this prior to 9/1/16 when my beloved almost 12 yr old Pomeranian, "Wolfie" passed away after coming home from 2nd vet who gave him a Lasix shot, by which the hours later, he died in my home. I've been dealing with anger, guilt and mourning daily. I miss him so terribly!

Beth, I am so sorry to hear this. Finding a vet to treat our family like "family" isn't always easy. Please remember YOU did everything you could, that you knew to do. Wolfie is across the Rainbow Bridge and holds no grudge! Playing and running while waiting for you. I am watching and re-watching ALL of Dr Jones videos. I do dog rescue and am tired of traditional medicine not working or actually CAUSING harm. I have come to grips with when our pets die, and we have done all we could, that we have to forgive ourselves... Here is a hug and a brush to the cheek to take those tears away. Take care dear friend.

My husbands parents are Greek immigrants. One of the first meals I had w them, my mother-in-law prepared was a salad to go with the dinner. She went out to her garden and picked everything fresh, including dandelion leaves. I didn't know what to think, but I was trying to be polite and eat it. I actually liked it, LOL!

When my horses weren’t feeling good they always looked for dandelions to munch on. I’ve always picked leaves off the dandelions in our yard - they’re chemical-free - I dry & crush them and add them to my dog’s food bowl. I’m going to start doing the same for my one cat who has FHS - these guys are prone to leaky gut and UTIs and the dandelion should be a good addition to his diet🙂
Just recently discovered your wonderful channel. I love that you are using natural remedies for your dogs. I eat dandelion leaves and flowers in salads all summer long and dry lots of the leaves for use all winter. I'm a big time soup eater so throw handfuls of the leaves into each pot. My senior retriever and myself use a maintenance dose of CBD oil to ease our aches and stiffness especially in the damp winters where we live. I am happy to know I can share my dandelions with my dearest canine companion. Looking forward to binge watching your videos. :))

Hi Doctor...I purchased organic dandelion leaves (they didn't have the leaf tincture, they only had the root tincture so I bought the dried organic leaves) and I am making a tea for my cat suffering with labored breathing and gurgling (sounds like fluid in the lungs) to add to the hawthorn tincture that I also purchased. The only thing I wasn't sure of was how to actually make the tea? In other words, how much dried leaf to put in how much water? I know you said the dose was 1 tsp for every 10 lbs daily, but did you mean 1 tsp of the tea daily, or 1 tsp of the leaves made into a tea daily? I found info on another website which said to make the tea, use approx. 1 teaspoon of dried leaf diluted in 240ml (or 1 cup) of hot boiled water and let cool. Does that sound correct? ...and after making the tea am I only giving her 1 tsp of the tea per day? Actually, she is only 6 lbs, so I would have to cut that down too. Please excuse my laymen's question, and thank you in advance for your response if you would be so kind.

Phew! My puppy was gobbling up dandelions on our yard outside today, including a whole root. She seemed to love them more than anything she’s ever eaten before!
Thank you dr. Jones for the suggestion using dandelion for my sweet dog with congestive heart failure! I have noticed a marked difference and reduction in coughing! I use five drops of dandelion tincture three times a day with his furosemide and cardalis. I'm hoping that's not an overdose!

Can you use root powder daily in their food as a preventative, along with milk thistle, marshmallow, and slippery elm?
I want to make my own tincture for my cat who has heart disease. Is there a dosage do you recommend for a tincture for cats? 🌺
How do I administer the tincture to my dog? She is a 10lb. terrier. I would give her 1/4ml directly in her mouth? A friend said put it in her water. I am using this alongside Lasix to treat CHF. My hope is to eventually ween her off Lasix if possible. Also, if I am able to find fresh leaves at the store, how much would I add to her food? If you have any idea on Hawthorn dosage that would be appreciated too. I’m off to search that one too.

Dr. Jones can Dandelion be given in a capsule form. What is the dosage for 40pound dog? My dog is suffering from joint pain he finds it difficult to walk up the stairs. Recently i found a small peanut size lump on his chest. I've started him on Glcosamine Chrondritin with MSM, Curcumin and Bosewellia. (From your other video). Is it safe to give Baking Soda for cancer or lumps ?
Hi Dr. Jones! Thank you for sharing this. My dog was diagnosed with CHF and has fluid in his lungs. His current heart medications are pimobendan and enalapril maleate. He has been on and off on furosemide but he is still coughing. His last xray showed less fluid so the vet decided to stop his furosemide because it was affecting his appetite. May I give him dried dandelion leaf tea as diuretic?

Might want to check that out with a holistic or integrative vet to guide you. Mainstream vets know nothing of this.
???How about in conjuction with furosemide? Can they be taken together? Please help! Thanks for your advice. I used the Dandelion Tincture on my 15 year old Burmese who was coughing and wheezing. 24 hrs in and the wheezing has stopped as is the coughing. I am a low income and cannot afford the vets demands that he have an x-ray and drug treatments. How long should I continue the treatment. Is there any danger of continuing with a low dose?
Good to know. It is generally one of the safest tinctures, but best used as needed at lowest dose. You can try alternating days or lowering the dose

And this would be a tincture. He is on a few medications but google says it shouldn’t be an issue
To stop vomiting, licorice root is better but dandelion is a great pre-biotic. It facilitates the growth of friendly bacteria in the stomach. It is a lymphatic herb which is why it is good for cancer. It is great for kidneys and liver as you mentioned. The kidneys are supposed to filter out the cellular wastes from the lymphatic system in urine and in cancer patients the lymphatic/immune system is highly acidic and clogged. So anything we can do to help the kidneys function, the better off we are.
Our dog is on Libeo 10mg once daily , she is 6kg and I'm told this us the Max dose for her weight ,

My kitty is 10 and she just got diagnosed with breast cancer. She got the mastetocomy. She also has chylothorax. I have been giving her rutin everyday. The vets I have gone to think that the cause of the stones might be his liver. Would the dandelion help my cat with his liver issues and also decrease the chance of the formation of urate stones?

I saw a video where you were giving advice on dandelion leaf tincture or nettle, couldn't find them but I bought organic dandelion at the grocery store. So I made a carrots spinach, chlorella and a little piece of dandelion leaf, my baby stopped coughing!
See, when I first got Sissy, she was about 3 years old and she would choke when she drank water. I do not know but I thought that she drinks too much water too fast, she doesn't stop and starts choking, so sometimes I watch and stop her so she slows down & pauses, and doesn't choke.
what i have found that has brought this to my attention is my 15 year old jack russel who is diabetic has recently been seeking the flower of the dandelion out. even though he is now blind he seems to find and pop the flowers and eats them. we have wondered if he did this for a reason or what because he has never done this before.

I use the flower portion to make tea that I drink.
When I googled the tea, it showed a bOx of the ROOT, with a statement ON THE BOX that it was a DIURETIC. I thought only the LEAVES were diuretic! Please! help me figure this out for my baby. It was at a Walmart or Target or Walgreen?
The leaf is more effective but I believe all parts of it are diuretic
Where I live, there is a "false" dandelion that looks just like this; It has a stem with multiple flowers. Real dandelion has only one flower per stem. I dont know if the false one is any different in its medicinal properties.
My Golden Retriever was diagnosed with epitheliotrophic lymphoma about 4 weeks ago. She had been examined previously and diagnosed/treated for atopic dermatitis. However, a biopsy identified the above lymphoma. She has just been prescribed prednidale. Are there any suitable supportive treatments that you could recommend.

Can i increase the dose of dandelion (whole plant) tincture for my cat's congestive heart failure? My cat keeps having fluid buildup in his lung and need to go to the vet to drain the fluid every three weeks and it's really expensive. What is the highest dose I can give to cat? My veterinarian increased the furosemide dose to 1.2ml but it didn't help much and was told that higher dose will damage my cat's kidney. Is there other options?
This is difficult if the lasix is not working. The dandelion tincture can also be added in at 1/4-1/2 ml of twice daily

Can I feed raw dandelion leaves to my dog ?
I gave April a few Days of dandelion Tincher. She has a large mass on her for head round hard and even. Now it seems it has collapsed in the middle like bumpity bump bump bump. Any ideas dock? I spent over $500 at the local vet. She Has severe upper respiratory illness to begin with then mass formed. This is actually an interesting case as she had a mask on her no the size of a ping-pong eight years ago which was . removed by the SPCA
