i think sunmi's wig in the lalalay music video wasn't so much to look good, but it's a hairstyle that's easy to replicate (even though it's a wig). the idea of the lalalay music video was to show how people will do anything to do whats 'cool and trendy' even if it doesn't look good. but it's sunmi so who cares, she never looks bad

I would say, out of everyone in the industry, Blackpink (and specifically, Lisa) have the best wigs and extensions. You cannot tell anyone that that hair isn’t growing out of their scalps. Personally, I loved Jennie in blonde and that wig wasn’t that bad. The hairline could have been better, I agree, but it was still plucked well. Lisa was gorgeous in her blonde wig too for KTL. It’s by far my fave look by she literally looked like Barbie. In Lisa’s “Lalisa” MV, she slayed EVERY wig and extension. On the flip side, I’d say Twice has made… choices. Sana’s extensions during M&M? Oof. Her hair color faded so fast and soon the extensions were more saturated than her actual hair and didn’t blend well. Overall, I think wigs should be used by more idols in the industry! It’ll save everyone the pain of having to maintain bleached and dyed hair

For the amount of wigs and different types of hair extensions used in K-Pop, it's mind boggling how poorly styled they can be. I can't count how many times I have seen my personal pet peeve, poorly blended extensions, on idols, especially for live stages.
i personally think the wig sunmi used in lalalay works. normally the thick bob with bangs is a very campy look, and knowing sunmi's approach with lalalay with its campy undertones it felt right.
