But I got bangs and suddenly it made my face look a lot shorter and less like a horse. Now I know I need to make them longer and have the ends be a bit airier and thinner to further enhance the effect!!!
As someone with a small squared shaped face and a high forehead who loves this hairstyle I have mastered myself into the art of cutting my own bangs. There are a lot of bad bad tips on the internet about this topic and I think this video has quite good advise for begginers! I'd like to add that waves are pretty important for the look! Wavy bangs make your features much softer than straight bangs; either if they're short, long, thick or thin. However, I would never recommend anyone to get a thick ass fringe, no matter their face shape lol
Agree! I have a pear shape face and all the articles recommend thick fringe, like it's the perfect fringe for my face. Yeah they didn't look good. I had them for years and I can assure everyone that thick fringe is not were is at lol
@@Sce45rays31 hi! Well it depends whether you want to make your face softer or more angular. Mine's length is a little over the eyebrows bc I have a big ass forehead and longer bangs would make it more prominent. Also, my square face is small so long bangs would cover it up. I go straight or wavy depending on my mood. Thin layering triangle shaped bc thick would make my face much more angular and heavy. Now the corners of the bangs are important. As they go to the temples, you can either make it sharp (angular, makes the cheekbones pop) or layered cut (soft, makes the cheekbones rounder). Keira Knightley soft bangs are a pretty good example of where to start, as she wears in pride and prejudice. Hope this helped 🤗🤗
@heehee3 hi! I'd try to bring attention to the side of the face so it would seem wider and therefore, the nose would fade a bit. A layered wavy hairstyle -with thin bangs if you wish- would be a good start. 🤗
*me watching this, with bangs, realizing I fit the criteria of a face shape that should not have bangs* oh well though, I still like the style and think I look cute enough regardless hehe
Finally someone who mention all face features when teaching us how to pick a bang style that best suit us. Seriously, everyone just says that if you have a round face you should avoid bangs and that's it. This video is like a holy bible to me.

Maybe try asymmetrical bangs? Where they start off shorter one side and then gradually get longer on the other side? ↘️ these type of bangs look good on oval faces. Look up pics if you need a better visual description 😅
So, if anybody's interested - I did it again. Yup, still a tragedy, despite being done by a hair stylist. She cut them too short, they are just above my ears and should be chin-length xD.

I am thinking of having bangs, as after watching the video and answering the questions video proves that Straight across bangs with heavier volume suit my face 😀

just sharing in case anyone w same face shape as mine want bangs: my face is literally square, means same width forehead and jaw, my current bangs are medium thick ones in the middle with s shaped on the side. and it looked good on me :D

I thought I could go with S shaped bangs but so sad its not suitable for people with square jaw :( as a person with big nose, protruding cheekbones and square jaw I think there would be no hairstyles that I could look good in :(

My family doesn't like the fact that I have had bangs for years. I always say that it's because of my face shape. I kind of have a long face shape or oval (?) that's why I chose to have bangs to make my face look smaller, and yes it did! I'm good with no bangs but I look better with bangs. No bangs only emphasize my kind of long face shape, and I don't like it. I want my face to look smaller cos it's my preference.
I wear the Lisa blackpink bangs en they look very good on me. Even though I have roundish face. My forehead is also high and in your face so I like bangs on me. Even though you could describe my jaw as not small. Because round face.
I have a long forehead and at the same time wide masculine jawline 😢 I tried bangs to shorten the forehead but it brought attention to my jawline... idk how to save my face shape lol, it’s the most complex I’ve seen
Omg...i love you...i have always been keen on these small things as i could look completely diff with small change..i used to search for a vid wit no real detail analysis that helped me...... finally found the channel i have been looking for. 💕💕💕
I think the side bangs or "curtain" bangs will be very flattering for you, as this will narrow the mid-section of your face :) Your nose type is beautiful though, don't feel as if it needs to be hidden

@@KiwiJJams Exactly! There's like conflicting features, guess we would have to take the risk and see if it works or not, or just leave it be
Same ! Same ! I relate too much but I really want to get bangs
@@justme-od9gs Lol if it doesn’t work there’s always headbands!
Even I don't get what will suit me😂 I have small forehead, small nose, big eyes, small squarish jaw but my cheekbones are widest part of my face. Someone help me if they can😂
i would like you to make a video explaining how to match bangs styles and glasses for every face shape, it would be so useful for me
I did the face framing bangs two days ago!!
And now I found this video.
Seems like i made the right choice
Oh my god, ive been having this dilemma for quiet a few weeks by now and i got recommended this, what a life saver!
2:11 Okay I don't know about you guys but she literally looks Amazing with or without bangs lmao😭 I guess when you're just generally attractive you can do anything and still be beautiful🥲
ok but joy w/ fringe is EVERYTHING
Omg, thank u for this but like I am actually dumb to even examine my face
Your channel is the only beauty channel with new information for me, love it
according to this analysis micro bangs would suit me the best but I´m just too lazy for straightening xD am generally too lazy to be pretty
It was 3 in the morning and I almost cut my bangs but thanks to your video i didn't, otherwise I would have regretted a lot. My face is rounder and has wider jaws which isn't suitable for bangs as it will make people pay attention to my lower face. I also did a rough sketch with bangs on and yes it doesn't suit me. Thanks alot again. I will look for another hairstyle that suits my face^^
I am thinking of having bangs, as after watching the video and answering the questions video proves that Straight across bangs with heavier volume suit my face 😀
i was literally just thinking about getting bangs yesterday!! thank you so much u've saved so many lives💗
AHHH THIS IS GREAT, I JUST GOT MY BANGS LIKE A WEEK AGO AND WAS STRUGGLING HOW TO STYLE THEM THANKKKKKK UUU SO MUCH THIS HELP A LOTTT❤❤❤
We all need a big sister like Peachie. ❤
Yessss! I'm waiting for this because i'm thinking of having bangs
Just a question.. what do you major in or what are you learning ..? You seem to know a lot about makeup n styling
considering the edit in the description, it's almost safe to say that this is not a single person run account. not that the account made any claims to be a singular person, but the consensus in the comments seem to think that
Peachie coming in clutch as usual! I stg this channel reads my mind, makes videos that are exactly what I want lol
Dear peachie is the honest friend we all need !
I needed this because i was planning to get bangs
just sharing in case anyone w same face shape as mine want bangs: my face is literally square, means same width forehead and jaw,
my current bangs are medium thick ones in the middle with s shaped on the side. and it looked good on me :D
Lisa looks so good with bangs
My eyes keep sparkling Everytime I see notif from dear peachie✨
Please do a video on bulbous noses/ all kinds of contouring for them please! xxxx
Peachie! It’s like you read my mind! Everytime I’m looking for a video on a certain topic, you post about it a week later! 😂
Me with a square face: okay Bye bye bangs🤣🤣
Thank you for the new video @dearpeachie your content is very helpful
The fact that my face fits the entire “not suitable for bangs category” 🤣
Your channel is so under-rated
Me: give me the korean air bangs.
Barber: *gives the thickest bangs ever*
thx so much! I have a very wide forhead, not long, but wide and square hairline- the rest of my face is a heart shape - I've decided on s shaped long bangs to frame my face features! I'm very happy, coz I was very cautious with experimenting with my hairstyle 💖💖💖
I thought I could go with S shaped bangs but so sad its not suitable for people with square jaw :( as a person with big nose, protruding cheekbones and square jaw I think there would be no hairstyles that I could look good in :(
Don’t feel that way! If you want to u should get it! You could also try to see some type of filter with bangs or edit urself with different types of bangs to get the closest chance of u with one!
@@whoasked6696 why did I never think of that😅thanks for your suggestion :)
I once let hairdresser cut bangs for me and I ended up looking old and full russian XD Never again, My face is more oval but I have big eyes, big forehead and big nose :/ So I always cut my own bangs and make them side bangs but never full on
Omg lusa without bangs looking to cute🤩🤩
I'm a simple person i see LALISA MANOBAN i click😊 bdw BLINKS LISA solo is coming out in September 10th so make sure to stream❤️
I wish there were more channels like this but for guys, its still helpful tho
You forgot to mention cranial top height, side profile and density of the hair. All of those are very important for choosing your bangs
i believe they have a video on cranial top height
@@cherry-ey2ij yes but it belongs into this video too
Ohh really? You seem to know a lot about this... mind making a video like dearpeachie and enlighten us on this? 😊
@@q.qq.q not sure if youre being passive agressive or genuinly interested. For those insterested i recomment the video "what bangs will suit your face" from aly art
@@raygin6581 thanks for your recommendation. I watched and her viewpoints are indeed helpful. But I think both of these vid content are equally amazing... dearpeachie raised quite a lot of great points never mentioned by other gurus out there. So no point regurgitating same points mentioned by other youtuber in this video again... 😂
this channel is soo underratedddd love u peachie
as someone with prominent cheekbones and round face, i absolutely adore the lisa straight bangs but i have to give up that dream i suppose 😢
Hey - i think you should still out if you love it because Lisa has a round face shape and she looks beautiful with hers!
thank you so much! i was thinking of getting bangs after few months and this video got recommended at the right time! 😭💗
what bangs to hide my entire face 😭
I was actually considering getting bangs for a while now so this video is super helpful 💗
Why didn't youtube reccomend me this before i cut my bangs?
@DearPeachy can you please make a video about styling Side bangs ... or when you dont have bangs but still want to frame face 🙇♀️ Thank you so much for your videos!! We all appreciate time and effort you put into your videos!
Got a lot of info on what I *shouldn’t* do with square jawline - but what about what I *should* do? 🥺
Dear peachie is our live-saver💕
My family doesn't like the fact that I have had bangs for years. I always say that it's because of my face shape. I kind of have a long face shape or oval (?) that's why I chose to have bangs to make my face look smaller, and yes it did! I'm good with no bangs but I look better with bangs. No bangs only emphasize my kind of long face shape, and I don't like it. I want my face to look smaller cos it's my preference.
Finally found a channel with real tips that work! Thanks! New subscriber🥰
I wear the Lisa blackpink bangs en they look very good on me. Even though I have roundish face. My forehead is also high and in your face so I like bangs on me. Even though you could describe my jaw as not small. Because round face.
Lisa jaw is quite also, so I think they suit square-ish or round type faces.
@@goggle2233 I think so too!
Im going to pick a haircut for myself based on all the hair video you haveee so I have the perfect one!
Managing bangs is so DIFFICULT. PLS MAKE A VIDEO FOR THAT TOO ♡♡
So what hairstyle would you recommend for wider/bulbous noses?
I think the side bangs or "curtain" bangs will be very flattering for you, as this will narrow the mid-section of your face :) Your nose type is beautiful though, don't feel as if it needs to be hidden
Love how there are multiple languages for the subtitles and not just OFF and ENGLISH
Lisa has a large forehead and a wide round face so tbh her best featured doesn't really shine well however when she has bangs on her face looks small and her eyes look bigger
Whomever hairstylist advised her to get bangs must be really good at their job
Well Lisa’s forehead is not that big compared to her overall face, and she had bangs since she was a child.
Thank youuuu .I was planning to cut my bangs but every video I found seems to be confusing. The timing is perfect , I shall watch yours and do .. cause I trust your channel ❤️
i have a sort of oval/triangle face 😭😭😭 gosh i really want bangs but i’m so afraid of things going south
