You know what's nice about this one? It doesn't end in a wedding, but you can still tell Aidan and Annika are happy. Like usually the characters Barbie "plays" are really young (like 16 years old in this case) and still they get married. Or they just met the guy like two days ago. Same with Tangled from Disney. It doesn't end in a wedding, but it ties things off in a perfect way by letting the audience know that after a few years, Eugene asked Rapunzel to marry him.
Annika and Aidan did get married coz if U pay attention to detail you can see that at the end Aidan is wearing a crown(now a prince) but before he was just a blacksmith. They celebrated the wedding in the cloud kingdom
But Eugene proposed to her like three times on screen, not even a year after all the Gothel trauma. XD Plus she would have done the same if Varian hadn't been needing the ring. I guess they have been through so much crap at that point so the time of them just being together shortens with each new adventure. :) What I consider weird in Tangled is the age gap between them. Eugene is 26 or something and Rapunzel is 18? Bit of a stretch for Disney. Have a nice day!
@@petrastein2531 I haven't seen the Tangled show, if that's what you're talking about. Also, I personally don't consider 18 and 26 that big of an age gap. It's better than some of their movies where minors got married (like Ariel when she was 16) lol
@@Alexa-xl1gi True words. Well, then I just have to recommend Tangled: the series (with episode 0 as well). It's like Broadway cartoon. I love this film. It’s not all lovey dovey like you see in all the other early Barbie films. It reminds me of Tangled where Flynn and Rapunzel have hilarious beef with each other til the end
Looking back now, I think this is one of the best Barbie movies. The characters are more developed than usual, especially the love interest. Annika's ice skating ability and passion is actually impressive, different than "she can sing and dance, wow!". And I like the storyline of the main character having a secret sibling, and danger looming over the family, plus the villain having a collection of wives that later get back on him. Might be known tropes in other media, but not really common in Barbie movies.
You know what's better here than even some real movies and series? The wives don't kill each other for 1 man. They work together to get rid of same man. Kinda like The Other Woman.

No one’s mentioned that the reason Aiden was in the Forbidden Forest was because he gambled all his father’s money away, and wants to make it back somehow. You don’t get a plot point like that in Barbie movies nowadays. 🙁
The main reason why I like him. He has flaws, he knows that and he’s trying to redeem himself. He’s not that type of goody-two- shoes perfect Prince Charming every girl dream about. Just a man who made mistake and has to live with it. Quite realistic I must say.
true! they couldve reused these more substantial plots than overusing the princess-and-average-girl-looks-like-each-other-so-they-exchange-lives-for-a-day plot im so sick of it
I realized just recently how much I missed these old Barbie movies... But these clip shows are much more efficient than rewatching every one of my favorites, so thank you.
Amusing how, in a film portraying Barbie's character's sister, who is colorful horse, Barbie's voice actress would eventually voice another colorful horse in another show based from another toy franchise a decade later.
My main issue is that they're sister's. I have a hard time figuring out the age difference when we never see Barbie as an infant or toddler in Brianna's flashbacks. So like, how old were their parents when Barbie was born? 40? I need answers
To be honest royalty normally marries very young so maybe they got the first daughter when they were 18 and that would give room for them having Anika between 30 40. And you can talk about trauma but the mainly idea was to have a heir to get the throne after they die so I don't think they will have much time to deal with the trauma before trying to get another child

PLSPLS y r u ruining ur tutors life 😢
No one’s mentioned that the reason Aiden was in the Forbidden Forest was because he gambled all his father’s money away, and wants to make it back somehow.
@@anastasiaphan4202 Yeah ikr! It really humanizes him. We all make mistakes, and it's good to not have that fake perfection be the standard. 🙂
yup this movie was gold yall
Best ever barbie movie in my opinion
true! they couldve reused these more substantial plots than overusing the princess-and-average-girl-looks-like-each-other-so-they-exchange-lives-for-a-day plot im so sick of it
I realized just recently how much I missed these old Barbie movies...
But these clip shows are much more efficient than rewatching every one of my favorites, so thank you.
Amusing how, in a film portraying Barbie's character's sister, who is colorful horse, Barbie's voice actress would eventually voice another colorful horse in another show based from another toy franchise a decade later.
I miss her old voice. now she doesnt sound like Barbie
they changed the voice actress :(( i think it was diana kaarina in most of the early movies of barbie
@@daph8035 I thought it's Kelly Sheridan? I miss these movies ☹
@@potatooolatke meee tooo, she's definitely my favooo
Diana and Kelly are the best. now she sounds weird :c
@@potatooolatke she sounds so classy doesnt she

Actually the new area reminded me of this movie idk if its an accidental reference or an intended one but it’s a striking resemblance none the less
Same
why am i watching this at 4am when i should be writing my thesis
Update: I finished my thesis succesfully and graduated.
We may be in different time zones... But we both watched this at 4 am. Truly magical.
actually me rn
same
JAJAJA I actually can relate to this comment 😂
This is more important than a thesis
0:46 I've always thought the grunt sounded so funny LMAO
My main issue is that they're sister's. I have a hard time figuring out the age difference when we never see Barbie as an infant or toddler in Brianna's flashbacks. So like, how old were their parents when Barbie was born? 40? I need answers
That's what I always wondered as a kid!
“That’s great! Where do we find it?”
“It isn’t found, it’s built.”
“…How?”
That's my self confidence lmaoo
I'm 24 years old, and I'm not ashamed to rewatch this
Same man, I watched it for the first time a couple days ago so I could watch this vid without spoilers xD
I'm 28, I never watched this, but I will do so right now.
@@pyrtemptationxxo5524 thou shall never regret.
Haha same age here and I’m thinking of rewatching it tomorrow
@@elizamuzaffar1353 oooh, do a marathon
This was one of my favourite movies as a kid honestly. I had the 3d version with those paper glasses, honestly. Living in the moment
When I watch this, essays don’t exist
1:25 I said "oOoOh" at the exact same time as the edit 😂
that was one of my favorite lines in the whole movie.
@@michelemullican6627 same 😂 I've been saying throughout the past week so randomly, I don't know why, it's just such a great line I can't stop saying it 🤣
I think we all did.
BAHAHA
You forgot the scene with Wenlock's wives taking revenge on him
I loved that female empowerment
Edit: thank you so much for 2k likes!
"double time!" Lmaoo
Female empowerment done right!!
The way they sweetly say wenlock didnt lose them gets me all the time 🤣🤣🤣

1:00 holy shit I just realized she called him a mule because she couldn’t call him an ass
“i don’t see her!”
“who?”
“my bear cub.”
“let me guess, your cousin?”
“FuNnY”
STOP I LOST IT
*Edit: thank you all sm for the love like what
LMAO SAME why was it so funny 😭
ITS THE GREATEST JOKE IN CINEMATIC HISTORY
Aidian is hilarious!!! XD
I didn’t get any of these jokes when I was younger but now this is the funniest shit 😭🤚
@Das Hrisheeta no its because a second ago she said the purple pegasus was her sister (brianna).. he's having a hard time buying it, so when she talks about the missing cub he taunts if it's her cousin. Does that make sense..?
This movie probably had the worst influence on me as a child ironically. That scene where Barbie's parents take her ice skates and she stomps up the stairs and yells, "You're ruining my life!"
Yup. Thought that was a good line to repeat to my dad 😂
OMG SAME. My mom always brings that up and it’s soooo embarrassing.
HAHAHA
Literally same!
Same 👁👄👁
Actually same, but I still love it anyway
"No! You can't do this!"
"Funny. I just did."
YALL THE VILLAIN IS ICONIC HERE-
I love the relationship Barbie and Aiden have so much 😭 theyre just roasting each other more than half the time.
