This is awesome. Excellent and clear presentation. Ms. Mazie makes me proud to be Jamaican. My brother and I used to mix cake with our mother when we were boys. Me and him used to fight over the left overs in the bowl and the spoon for licking when she was done. Seeing Ms Mazie at work brings back warm feelings of the festive season in Jamaica.
November 2020 let’s still think positive. Pray for the island so much good has come from this little place, let’s not make the darkness drown out the light. Enjoy your cake
I love the low decibel Christmas music in the background. The cracker crumbs is a great idea, as it crowds out the flour gluten; and prevent overworking the batter. Same as cornstarch does. SWEET SURRENDER - YESS!
Ms Maize and Grace brought a calm yet blissful ambiance at home. Growing up Grace foods was the brand of choice for my mom. If ever my siblings and I were sent to pick up groceries, we knew it was Grace items or nothing else. My mom would always speak of the quality of Grace products " di ketchup rich" today, it is a little challenging for me to choose another brand over Grace. I will definitely be using Ms. Maize's cake recipe. Thanks Grace. Creative Kitchens like your foods brought harmony and togetherness in families.
There is alot in this video that i could comment on but one thing i must salut Mrs Maize for is how she knows how to Work the spoon!!! Iykyk!! A million thanks to u Mrs Maize , Grace kitchens..
If you don't remember JBC you're too young. I remember this show frim my childhood in the 90's and the host was another lady but I remember this one too.
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I noticed your cake didn't burst well done. I enjoyed watching your programme, you are so humble and you have such a Godly nature.🎉

Hey there Masie how you do u look so young and fresh as usual l love this recipe especially with the addition of the excelsior crackers tried it and like it
Omg, I still have this recipe that I cut out from about age 12! At that time, Grace used to mail recipes to selected individuals….not sure if they still do.
Thank you Mazie. We miss you for sure. In the written recipe it stated 3 cups red wine, 1 cup rum and 3 cups blended fruits. I didn’t see you add the rum and wine to the batter, did you add it in the blended fruits then incorporate it into the mixture or is it to pour over the baked cakes?
Marcia Morris shut it nuh. We get it you don't like this particular recipe. Doesn't mean it doesn't taste good or is "a mess" as you put it. It's ok to try a new way to do something. Gosh man I strongly dislike social media trolls. If you don't like this recipe there are several other recipes on youtube and all over Google you can check out. Keep it moving.
+Yasheka Wade shut your face. Don't tell me what to comment on. Aren't you here commenting! you are a bully, don't come up here and try to control my freedom. You seem like a person who don't know good cooking nor baking. There are a lot of them out here who just cannot cook nor bake and it seem you are one. Who told you, that I have not tried cake with crackers/breadcrumbs? I do cooking for a living and I have tried new stuff. You go and try this recipe and come back with your take on it!
+Marcia Morris you are the bully. I am great in the Kitchen thanks to my aunt and mom who are both excellent bakers and cooks. The Christmas cake recipe that has been used since I was a child is from "The Real Taste of Jamaica" cook book by Enid Donaldson. I commented on your posts specifically because you were the only one being disrespectful and I can quote some of the things you have said on this thread. I believe that if YOU don't think this recipe is good instead of saying that Miss Miller's recipe is a "MESS" and all the other rude statements you made you could have suggested another recipe without being nasty about it. #KeepItMoving
Constructive criticism is jamaican people problem, learn to take criticism its how we grow. This cake is not made well too much flour not enough fruits
miss mazie the recipe that you show is not the same as the rich Christmas cake...I would like to know how much blended fruits and how much wine did you blend the fruits in thank you
I am thankful for your sharing this recipe; perhaps you could comment on how to bake them in tin can; the type that usually has cookies in it with a lid to close it. My nana used to make bake just so. Do you know this method?..I would love to give as gifts for Easter.
Mazie you do it just like my mommy. Thank you. Still watching in 2024

Yes you can bake in the cookie tins as well said I do it all the time. When I'm shipping to children or the round foil pan.
@@Theunstoppableone3515 Thank you for replying🌷 Hoping you are in good spirits and health during this pandemic🌸💐🌸
You can use grape juice for wine also- healthier-no alcohol.
just add red label wine to a blender add the fruits then blend them,if you dont have red label wine you can use a sweet port wine.
What amount of fruits do you use
@@angellabernard7664 We really don't measure. As my mom would say, "some" 😁
