When you shut the door, i was hoping you were going to say "sounds like a golf" just like the TV advert lol 😆
Brilliant,takes me back lol
Glad I wasn't the only one lol
Glad I read your comment I was just gonna say If you listen carefully LOL
Boom....cam-belt done, loads of history, 1 second hand door, bit er paint.. Bish-bash-bosh "next transporter please". You two are smashing it 👍👏👍
Tons and tons of receipts inside it.Yep, sounds like a VW.
Banger of a comment.
Will require some more anyway 😉 bag of .... I would not take it for free 🤣
It’s ok taking the piss guys but I’ve run them up to 200k miles easy. Not many brand of cars do that sort of mileage and still nice to drive
Loads of cars can do 200k miles these days, it's nothing to boast about. My wife's last three Citroens all did and still had years of life left in them when sold.
Maybe someone put that car on a transporter the wrong way round and the door flew open.
I don't know who would do such a daft thing though Rob.
Lol
ha ha! love this comment!
😂😂
Savage.
Only a novice new to the repair would fall for a schoolboy error like that. 😂
With all the problems of the virus and the government , this channel is well worth watching and enjoying , an ordinary guy, showing how to fix car problems .
This was great. Five cars! All going to be very nice little run-arounds for someone at a good price. I really enjoy seeing how you fix the things that seems impossible with relative ease. A model to us all. Thanks, Rob and Chris.
Brilliant little golf, I thought it would need a bit more than just a door on it but what a result it was only a door and some paint to finish it! I bet it will drive like a brand new car.
This channel has and continues to inspire me to do the same as a side line and hopefully one day become my full time job. Can’t thank both Rob and Chris enough 💎💎
Another quick and easy one, finding that the cambelt has recently been done was the icing on the cake
This channel is a real inspiration for me . My car bumper got dented badly yesterday and reverse light damaged as well. After seeing lot of your rebuild ,this seemed nothing to me . I popped the dent out using hot water and now I am looking for replacing the lights and gonna try rubbing the scratches off.thanks again and keep up your good work Rob :)
How brilliant did that new door fit, I like you thought the hinge area had been damaged. How refreshing to see a job go as easy as that one. Winner!
Brilliant work and thanks for the content stay safe and take care
Looks good and will be interesting in finding out how much you want for it! Stay safe and keep on doing what you are doing
I do love this car, the Golf is such a timeless icon!.
Nice work Rob, will done 👍 thanks for the update!
Another champion video and what a result about the cambelt!
Great channel lads are fantastic other channels gloss there repairs up. These guys are true to there subscribers what you see is what you get great channel keep it going guys 👍👍👍👍
Good luck with treatment Rob, thanks for the hard work to you both 😉🇮🇪
I had a 2.0 Tdi 4motion, great little car and had well over 200k when I sold it, still going strong now.
Just the condition of the engine bay and car show that’s been cared for. Hopefully nice profit in that👍 Thanks for great video as always
Been looking forward to this!!
Nice to see the previous owner looked after this car so well. Shows that proper servicing can get you such a long life from a car. It still looks tidy even with that mileage.
9:58 when you shut it, sounds like a golf 😉
Hi rob and Chris that’s brilliant the cambelt as already been done and that’s brilliant news about the service history and other receipts and hope you make really good profit when you sell it and hope you both are staying safe and well
When you get your teeth fixed, check they’re “in colour” and not needing a respray after! Love the channel.
Make sure they line up the gaps properly as well 😂
Another cracking video, short and sweet
You make everything so good to watch, even a quick one like today
Cheers fellas till the next time 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Rob, looks like another diamond in the rough, well done with the last bargain of that bunch. Take care and all the best. Stevie
As they say Rob , lovely jubbley , nice set of alloys on that one too , looking forward to the finished job , scored too with the timing belt well done guys
More great content! The videos are brilliant every single time, best channel about! 👌🏻 keep them coming
Nice to see the little Honda "van" earning it's keep Rob..... what a handy little motor !!!
We've got a Wilsons auctions up here in Scotland, Dalry, used it a few times, always a few gems to be found.
Dalry has its fair share of Lemons going through too 🤣 They do lot of Ex Hire cars through the day there too. Almost all with less than 15K.
@@neilt7145 Don't talk to me about lemons mate lol, yeah agreed. Had a few nice candy's from the police auctions
Well i never knew that industrial estate was up there! Good to know, learning more than just car rebuilds! Cracking video on the golf, it’ll do another 170k an more! Good to see the new van being put to use to 👍🏻
Hi Rob,I thought that door wouldn't fit because of the hinges, but it fits perfectly,a few paint touches and it will look smart again.
Just great Rob been waiting for this great car would love to buy golf but got two many cars in my workshop big thumbs up again for channel 🤗
Great set of videos on the lorry load watched them all now what a bargain buy they were good stuff lads keep it up 👍
Them Little Mk5 Golf GT’s Get Better With The Miles.. Amazing All Round Cars Very Nice Solid Drive & Feel Very Fast Indeed
Woohoo 🙌 cam belt done ✅ That's a fantastic job well done guys 👍🏻👍🏻
A door in colour with mirror would of been killer, but a clever bit of work for sure, luving that Honda what a steal.
nice job - wife has one of those for about 12 years will not change it for anything - nice little car
I think it’s time to employ a car painter, the amount of paintwork you have done 🤔
Really is frustrating when all you need to change is one panel and you can't get it in the same colour. Good job with the fitting. Landed on your feet with the recent cam belt change.
Very enjoyable video. Really liking the different car’s featured recently very interesting 👍👍
Have enjoyed this series of cheap flips
Great video guys and love vw good solid motors and hope both safe and well
Really enjoying the channel. Great little Golf with that famous door shut sound! I'd love to see you guys work on a convertible. Something like an MX5 that needs a new soft top fitted. Also I'd love it if you could do some separate instructional videos on small jobs that we can all do at home to improve the look of our own cars and title the videos as such for youtube searches. Eg: freshening up headlights, sorting out small scratches, putting colour back in plastics & rubber, sorting out the chips on door edges etc. I know these exist elsewhere on youtube but I like your presentation style and everyone loves a before and after! Cheers!
A nice little job and a bit g bonus it’s had a cam belt on it Bute. Stay safe 🤙🏻
Never seen cars get turned around so quick. Well done guys
I'm so glad that door replacement worked out so well. I thought that the damage would have been a lot more extensive.
Surprised you and Chris don't give the paint a go on the golf Chris always does a great job in the primer etc would be great to see keep up the good work 👍
That Golf is great Rob! Bet you wish they were all as easy as that! Will be a cracking turn around. All the best wishes for the dental treatment, hope it goes ok!
This lorry load of cars has great! Can't wait till they're all sold and you do the numbers.
Nice to see Wilsons auction site. These are still family run business and started not far from me in N.Ireland in 1936. They are now the largest independent in UK and Ireland. Over 400 staff and hammer total each of over £300 million.
Nice golf Rob, cambelt was lucky all done, has it had previous with one headlight needing a polish, another one for Chris to give a rub off, hopefully with the dentist you get an older one they have some sympathy and give enough freezing to last till next morning good luck and keep up the good vids and work
I really look forward to your videos Rob they are really interesting 👍
Really good vlogs rob when I finishing watching one vlog can’t wait for the next one
That's been my looked after one saying much to get them off the look of the lights you dear good at what you do👍👌
Say what lol ?
lovely video boys nice little golf .keep up the good work hopefully others follow suit
Lc5f blue graphite pearl , lovely colour, and quite rare, got a Passat highline estate the same colour
Nice cheap fix On the golf Rob look forward to seeing the Fiat, Renault ,and golf in paint and finished then onto the next wagon load 👌👍
Another lovely motor Rob.
I miss my old golf! 2.0 tdi Mk5.... powerful and cheap to run and very reliable
170k mileage and the door still shuts with a thud. It’s a testament to Vw. The Germans really do know how to screw a car together. Great video rob. Good luck at the dentist 😬🤒
Great videos as always rob. Loving the salvage as I haven’t been keen on the classic stuff. Glad to see the original SRUK back 😁😁😁
To be fair he has been trying to find salvage but given the pandemic it's not been possible. So as Rob and Chris will do always is make money as and where they can
The classic stuff is just another string to there already very talented bow 🙂
Finding that the cambelt was done two months ago is a real win. Whatever the last owner did to that Golf, they didn't do it with any enthusiasm. I really thought there were going to be A-post issues with that one as those Golf doors are pretty solid, but another doors and a tweak of a hinge adjustment and she's good as gold. Despite the mileage, with all the paperwork that one has then it's going to make a great car for someone, especially if it's a 1.9 TDi PD as those engines are hard to kill...
Proper result all round good luck to you Rob / Chris
Great stuff as usual Rob, good luck with gnashers!
Tough old beast. Got an Octavia with a 90bhp ALH engine currently on 216k. Still a 62mpg car brim to brim on a clear 450+ mile run
Nice lane discipline shown in the new Honda shop-truck.
Cracking car that vw love the golfs had a couple one of the best cars i have owned along with the passat great cars that little honda moves like a rocket then realised it was time lapse rather you than me at the dentist
Lovely little Golf. Nice bit of luck on that recent cam belt replacement!
nice one lads! that'll make a nice little runaround for someone.
2.0PD with that kind of history? Even on an '04, that's still got years of life left ahead of it. Great job Rob.
@epilepsy and gym life do u even lift bro Looks like a BKD?, which is a 2.0 16v 140PS with PD injection, basically the stopgap between the normal 8V 1.9 PD's and the "new" common rail. They also did a 170PS in the sporty version of the Golf. Very quick engine, but a but prone to a drink of oil.
Definitely not a PD.
@@steve5772 Thanks Steve. People think I'm crazy when I tell them I had 2.0 PD VAG cars.
@@DanLeeds10 2004, 2.0? It will be a PD. Its the short-lived 2.0 that came in as a stop-gap between PD and CR.

Goodluck Rob on the treatment 👍

Enjoyed the video.... nice quick job....
what a lucky find boys nice and simple stay safe
Lovely Jubbly, cracking cars.
great turn around of those Co-Part cars. Well done
You've had some right good luck on that load of cars & good luck getting your Hampstead Heath sorted as well m8😁
That new cambelt is a very nice surprise to find. 😄
It’s refreshing to see a UA-cam really care about keeping on top of comments - but you always reply to all of them. Which is much more than most. All the best with your teeth work mate. Great channel. English.
We’re nothing without the support 👍
It is a lovely feeling when it fits straight in the hole haha
The colour of your Golf Rob is called Blue Graphite and your right, dont see many.
Another great video, Keep it up 👍
MK5 Golf GTI in the near future?? 🤞
Great vid thanks
Hi Rob a great video yet again 👍😊
Didn't know about the Detling Breakers, I'm after a Renault Trafic stereo with Sat Nav might give them a call
Really good video plase keep them coming
High miles but not when you consider it's 16 years old. About average I'd say. And with belt done and seems well serviced it go another 100k
A nice little car, that cambelt is a winner.
He has just gone and put that sticker on himself before the video
Old trade tricks
Because its a high mileage car it makes it more desirable with the belt done otherwise no one will pay more than 7-800 quid for that car
Ivan D You must be new here Ivan. As if you weren’t, you’d know that Rob is not the sort of bloke you’re making him out to be.
Great little find that Rob 👌🏼
@@id776 Sorry mate, I'm with AP. Shouldn't judge everyone by your own standards.
Ex whores and ex cops do not exist
Same is with car traders
I would imagine you both still believe in 🎅 Santa
Jokes aside I was just having a laugh of course
I can see Rob and Chris are top blokes
Taking care of the cars and all that
Ivan D www.copart.co.uk/lot/46159680 picture 7 that is the auction listing you can see it clearly in the picture 👍
Nice little cheap run about for someone, good luck and hope you recover quickly.
Lovely stuff.
Another great video, all the best for Friday Rob
Thank you bud it’s a whole week 👍
That Golf is going to be a reliable bargain for some lucky so and so, well done guys 👍🏻
The 1.9 TDI engine prior to 2005 is the best by far - the A prefix engine (ATDxxxxetc) used Bosch injection parts, didn't use the "cracked" and fault prone con-rods and didn't have a DPF to clog up - best of the lot.
nearly 40,000 people have just spent 14 minutes watching a bloke change a door on an old diesel golf. think about that for a minute.
amazing work rob
I know right. Any other channel I wouldn't bother? But this one - don't know what it is 😁
Ha ha Rob remember that advert on TV guy says "shuts just like a golf" Well it shuts just like a golf ha ha oomph
Sounds like a golf
Shame about the door Rob, but what a smart looking engine bay clean as a whistle. 👍
Hey Rob I've got a 2.0 l golf Tdi it's my 3rd one they are a brilliant jam jar, that cam belt job includes the water pump and tensioner that a £:750 pound job at VW if the paper work is all good with history you have a great little car, the mileage is no prob I know someone who's got over 300,000 miles on his and it's still going strong
