That's a classy looking XKR Joliette. You struck lucky finding that one. I've visited Fuerteventura many, many times over the past 20 years (recognise El Cotillo and Mt Tindaya in your B-roll) and don't recall seeing many Jags ... especially XK8 /XKRs. I'm looking for one now, to go with my 2010 5.0 litre XK, but corrosion free ones are hard to come by in England. Lots of rust buckets around for just a few thousand pounds, so a right-hand drive, 30k convertable from the Canaries would be worth ferrying / driving back ... I'm out again in October.
Thank you Steve. Yes, i think i own like 50% of jags here (well except those we do not talk about like S-Type), definitely if you count only drive-able ones. 🤭 I was looking even since 10 years ago in Germany and could not find, so good luck! Mine is not for sale as you probably understand. 💖💖
This model and year Jaguar was owned by Ford Motor Company . The power train was also used in the last Thundrebirds production run . I had a 2005 Jaguar X type with standard shift . Many of the parts exchanged with Ford Thunderbird those years . Now Jaguar owned by some Chinese company .
Nice find Joliette .Cars really peaked in the mid 2000's that era up until 09/10 had such great cars especially from the European manufacturers. Thety took over from Japanese and gave us a decade of great cars.
Congratulations Joliette, a lovely car in astonishing condition. My next door neighbour had a new Green XK8-R convertible in 1998. It was the best car around. Fortunately with your mechanical skills, you should be able to keep the running costs affordable. Enjoy
Thank you very much!! I have a few jags so kinda know what to expect with maintenance and issues. It will be ok i believe. In 98 he must have been king of the city.
How rude!!there's never bin a bad bond film.roger moore was the best ofcourse.looks a great xkr that you have got yourself there.i have a 2003 jaguar x350 4.2 super v8.awesome cars and awesome engines.
No, sadly not. Way too expensive and I need to drive my cars. I would never justify enjoying it knowing every time I take it out, I decrease the value and risk losing it. Such supercars are like gold watches. You can only wear them when you do not care about them. BUT. If one offered me broken down dead cheap one to fix and revive?! Hell yea.
That is a beautiful JAAAG with all the right curves , perfection for a beautiful lady with 😉 👍 Love the way you got rid of the terrible noises 👌😎👍 Enjoy your new JAAG ♥️👍
Jeremy Clarkson: _"Jaaaaaag"_

I think Indian company but yes. I know some parts are exchangeable, might be lifesaver down the road.
