4:35 you mentioned bikepacking. Why you dont measure the poles ? It is the only item of the tent you can`t compress. Could you please tell us the lengh ? Even the manufacturer dont give this information lol....good video thanks :)
Great tent for the price. It is so easy to set up and lightweight to carry. I have used this in downpours and the rain fly kept me and the ground underneath me bone dry. Highly recommend for the low price compared to name brand tents!!
If it’s pitched properly and securely the Lanshan is absolutely fine in strong wind - but thanks to the exoskeleton the Taiji will be an easy, good safe pitch every time. I won’t have a bad word said about the Bobcat though! 😆👌🏻
Great looking tent, the slight issue with the door, especially the fact you may get wet if it's been raining etc. Good to see the pack size once you packed away as well 👍🏼 Great video.
@@wulliescottishoutdoors Thanks Wullie the sub is really appreciated man! Slowly building the numbers 😆 Yeah it’s a good wee tent I’ll get a lot of use out of that one. Cheers 🙌🏻
Thank you!! I’m 5’10” or 177cm and there is more than plenty head/foot room for me 😊 Manufacturers state the interior length is 212cm. Height to inner ceiling 95cm.
That is a good scoop for you to post - the first known review of the Taiji 1 tent. It certainly seems to tick a lot of boxes. Your camping experience immediately identified a couple of modifications for it. Nothing unsurmountable for you though. I like the space inside, with good head clearance and the internal walls not likely to touch the outer nor you and your sleeping bag. Its 5000 HH is well better than most tents. Its slim footprint will hopefully allow a greater choice of suitable pitches for you, especially with the tent design allowing you to pick it up and readjust its position, as terrain and views dictate. I will be interested in your future thoughts on the tent, once you have thoroughly tested it under a variety of conditions. A comparison with other reasonably priced tents will be interesting. All in all, a good video about a good looking tent!
"Once it's erect you can pick it up and move it about" is my favourite line from UA-cam today. Fnaaar etc! Loving the drone shots. Tent looks good. Must resist, I have enough.
How did you find tent in wind? (Assuming you've been on your trip) Been to Sweden a few times but never had the opportunity to camp there, it's beautiful.
@@chazphot couldn’t test it to the limits as it was extremely cold (-13°) and I pushed myself to reach all sorts of shelters to not having to pitch my tent in these freezing conditions. The times where I slept in the tent it wasnt particularly windy.
Great 1st impressions of this tent. I would love to see this go head to head in some bad weather with the owx bobcat 1 that i own and use on wild camps. I love the bobby and its a fantastic solid tent. The only issue i have is i find the aleeping pod very tight and i am not a big chap. Its better with the mods or trekking pole hack at the back but its atill snug. The Taiji looks a lot roomier but is it as robust as the bobby as if so it could be my answer to sleeping better on the fells. Cheers in advance
Totally agree with you Andrew, I absolutely adore the Bobcat. I like it so much I forgive the really small sleeping area. The Taiji 1 is FAR roomier inside and while I don’t think it’s as bombproof as the Bobcat, it’s going to withstand a decent amount of heavy wind and rain. Not crazy weather but in ‘normal’ bad weather it’ll be fine. Thanks for watching fella ⛺️👌🏻
Aye it's a wee belter of a tent, really like it. It's not perfect like but what tent is? I'll be using it a lot in the colder months. I did get wet feet, thanks for your concern Gav! 😆
@@vonheiz I hear you. Compared to big lumps of tents I’ve used in the past, sub 2kg is ultralight for me. Folk that just use a light tarp and bivi will think vonheiz’ gear is too heavy and the person just using a bivi will be saying a tarp is too much! True ultralight is just sleeping naked outside 🤣

@@campingcaledonia76 that sounds perfect thanks very much for this 👌
We are glad that you are the first one to review Taiji 1. We provide extra rope accessories for severe stormy weather.
Fantastic. I'm a customer of Camperlists and have had very good service. Thanks guys ⛺

@OdetteLausell Thank you so much for visiting my wee channel. I am quite impressed with what the tent offers too. Excited to get more out of it 🏕️🤩
The extra accessories really help.
I'll be on the lookout for a one man tent pretty soon and that Taiji looks hard to beat!
It’s PDG, not perfect but will be a brilliant little tent. 🏕️ 👌🏻
Great review 👍😉
@@WildMoosebear Thanks! 🤩 Delighted you tuned in 🙌🏻
Quite like that, unlike the dreadful Bobcat!
How does this compare to the Lanshan in high wind?

Beers and Noodles. Priorities RIGHT there!! 😁😁
You know it. The main reason I try to reduce the space and weight of kit is to secure more space for noodles and beer 😆
Hi! Great review! What is the actual length of the inner tent? How tall are you? Do your head and feet touch the inner tent in the sleeping bag?
Thank you!! I’m 5’10” or 177cm and there is more than plenty head/foot room for me 😊 Manufacturers state the interior length is 212cm. Height to inner ceiling 95cm.
@campingcaledonia76 Thank you! The Chinese often understate the actual length in the description, that's why I asked 👍

1870g - aint much of an ultralight
1560g trail weight not too shabby weight wise for a double skin exoskeleton 1 person tent with decent spaced 4 season inner 👌🏻
