Restoring an old F100, WAY cool! Hanging with your dad to do it- absolutely priceless!
Glad to see the younger guys saving the old school transportation
Sure love doin it 😊
Your dad was born in 1976 wow that makes me feel old
Flip me too! he's younger than me.
Yes, that was the year I graduated from high school
@@rogercamp6071 me too! Glad I'm not the only "old guy" here.
That's the year I joined the British Police!
@@slowharry LOL👌
I couldn't stop looking at the rats nest in the glove box, when you were driving it home. Was waiting for something to crawl out.
That radio delete is awesome though. I'd just keep it in there.
A1967 with radio delete is fairly rare, but one with factory heater delete is something I’ve never seen before. Love it! I recently handed down my ‘71 F100 short wide bed to my son, my grandkids love it now!
I love Ford trucks from this era and this one is a real beauty! I'd love to own it!
From England,, this sort of truck goes for $10.000 Over Here.
I know right? One of these and a C10 would be first on my list if I lived in the states.
Just listening to that old 240 6-cylinder running brings back sweet memories of my 1967.
I'm 35, I appreciate this vintage stuff. Always have, all my machines are 80's vintage ATC's etc. My son (aged 6) takes one look at this truck and says it's a pile, I smile and say "yep, and that's how we like it" He was so dang confused! Gotta love it. haven't even watched the video and im already loving it! Revised- That nest in the glove box is giving me the heebies though!
Haha nice! Yeah, pretty much. Mine don’t mind getting in there with me at this point but when they get older I’m sure they’ll be a little less interested. Thanks! Haha yeah it was gross
I owned one like this in the late '70's. The cab settled due to rusty cab supports . Big old 240 with a Hurst 3 speed on the floor. I painted it with a brush and drove it for years. I now have a '93 F150 with the 300 six and a five speed, and will drive that one until it drops. {only 142K right now.}
Very cool! Hate she rotted out but that was the fate of many!
Old style John Deere implement yellow is a perfect match for that, had a 75 F100 same color, had a 300 in it.
That's a cool project truck and would make a cool street rod, looks like she has good bones and shined up nice, now it's back to the comet to start tearing the motor apart to get ready to start building a 347 stroker out of it 😁
Thanks! You know it!! 😁
Love the short bed on trucks. This with a little work gonna be a classic car museum showroom.
Love these old F100s
my Dad had an similar model (1971) but longer bed. I learned how to drive "3 on the tree. I remember he had a co-worker cut out the bevel (45 degree) in order to flatten them and support a camper shell and scrounged a spare tire rack on the l driver's side (funny, it was always flat). I remember he replaced the wood boards with some fine hickory that we routered, stained and sealed. he sold it to my youngest uncle in 1987. My uncle was inspired by the Dodge L'il Red Express. and painted it Ox blood on top and midnight blue on the bottom. trust me it looked awesome.
Mike, you really know how to find a diamond in the rough! Ive watched a couple of your videos like the yellow f-100 and the 1961 Galaxie and the old Fairlane. I wish I had the money to buy one of your diamonds. I want to have one of the older cars for my wife. I would like to have one, because it is easy to work on. I would put the wood bed back in it and it would be my daily driver. That is bringing it back to life.
The white (cream) wheels looked better.
I agree. However, one was a completely different color. So hard to match up for that one wheel. Awesome little truck.
Black wheels and chrome hub caps is a classic look.
@@grantkoeller8911 lol those hubcaps cover those nice wheels, "why "what do they do ( good as bumper stickers I guess),makes the truck look lame
@@bradzimmerman3171 yeah, everyone is different, I like the look of dog dish police hub caps on white, black, or red rims
Nice!!! I love that original color! Engine still a little noisy, more work, running time needed. What a difference.
I love that it's a step side. You don't see too many from that era.
Short bed step side make it 300+ percent better
Agreed. I just picked up a black one with 99,000 miles. She's a beaut
It would be called a FLARESIDE. REMEMBER THAT IT's a FORD AND NOT A BRAND c.
@@markreisen7038 thought flareside was after about 1985 when the fenders weren't near as cool. I had a 1984 flareside:) near the last of the cool fender fords. I recalled about 1989 they were called flareside with a less pronounced fender.
Ok. So pre 1957 the were all just all pickups with external fenders. 1957- was a ford flareside. Learn something new all the time. Even after 20 years have passed since 13 yrs of f150 ownership:) first time i heard flareside it was for ugly (imo) external wheel wells in 1989 or so. And apparently they may have really been called the "styleside" reusing the initial name for a regular straight sided full box truck?
Great rescue, I love that it’s a step side.
It's called a FLARESIDE!!!
I would absolutely love to have an old truck like that. So much personality in that thing. If it could talk, you can only imagine what it would have to say.
That is one very nice old truck and looks so good
Your easiest job yet
Got to love that old lacquer paint
It looks absolutely fantastic 👍👍😍😍😍
Oh most definitely, paint cleaned up easily and nicely! Thanks! 😃
That tidied up nicely. Be a great truck for the next owner
Thanks!
Being from the UK, I know nothing about American trucks. However, seeing an old beast like this get a new lease of life is brilliant. Keep 'em coming!
Beautiful little trucks these. Shame we don’t have anything like this in UK 🇬🇧
It is a beautiful truck! Nice job!
I think is a good idea to put some foam and a simple cover on that seat, so the next buyer can have a better experience while testing it. New sealed beams can brink some life to a old truck too.
Regards!
Love your videos always a great time thanks for taking us along
Morning Michael. Hard work always pays off 🤣 Nice work on the Ford truck 👍🏻 God bless keep safe cheers Stevie 😎🏴
Haha thanks Stevie!
If you put the truck on level ground where it can't roll away you can take your floor jack and put a short piece of 4/4 on it and jack up on the bed I would bet it would bend that cross member back to where it belongs, and if you have a port a power I think while you have a jack to support the step you could jack the top of the bed up by pushing from the step! I would try it at least! I think I would sell some other projects and keep this one! It's cool as can be! Awesome truck! I love the step sides!
Great patina on that truck. Good job guys.
All the old stuff in it that's awesome I'm not finished the video yet and I'm loving it
wow what a nice truck ! great find
Great job guys! Really liked this one.
That would be a excellent Budget Buildz Company truck. Nice find, nice work to get it back up and running.
PS, white rims looked good.
Wish we had been able to hold on to this one! We’ll have more in the near future! Thanks! Yes, they did
I love how you kept it stock.
Absolutely yes, more of this.May be your best series yet. Enjoy this channel very much. Very good find but it's not all luck-you had to be diligent and persuasive and willing to work. No wonder you succeeded.
I think, I would sell a few of the others and keep this one. You and your Dad done a brilliant job bringing this one back to life and keeping the patina.
Wow, I can't believe how much of a difference buffing it made. I wish I could find something like that near where I live.
Man that brings back memories putting tires on like that. Me and a friend years ago had a 71 Ford F-150 and had to fix flat tires on it like that.
New subscribe. Was gonna say in part 2 during drive home - was never in one as a kid where a pack of camels or Marlboro didnt slide across the dash every time a turn was made!
Thanks for joining us! Hahaha 🤣
Its looking good, I had a new 67 f 100 long bed with the 240 six cylinder and 4 on the floor, bought it in Los Angeles! I paid $2,500 out the door! Tell me we don't have INFLATION!
I wish I still owned it!
Thanks! Haha nice! Not much 😁
Man that is a good looking truck. Love the color. It is the same color as my Mustang. I think that is Springtime Yellow. My stang has the original paint as well.
Woohoo!! I see you're over 70k subs now. Congrats!
Your dad is a year older than me! Me and my son who is coming 22 should get ourselves a project and keep our bond strong, especially now he has a newborn baby son! Great vid lads, greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
That's one sweet looking little truck. ❤️.
very nice project, like so much !Thanks a lot to show us ! take care !
So good, so easy to work on, so practical, and so nice. I would rather have one like that than a new one.My pickup is twenty years old and I wouldn't trade it for a new one. I can go to the grocery store and sit the sacks over the side of the bed, drive home reach over and pick them out. Can't do that with a new one without a ladder. Not to mention those damn computers and check engine lights that come on for no reason except to cause a rather large repair bill. Keep up the good work.
Amazing patina body is perfect to my eyes, only thing that could make this better is a 351 Cleveland stroker
Thanks! Oh That would be fun!
Nice job. Just the thing for someone to give some love to. All stock and saved to be enjoyed. 7.00x15 tires give it some well needed gear for the highway.
Noice. I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from laying some wooden floorboards in the back if it was mine. Good job bro.👍🇦🇺🦘
Thanks! Oh I know, there’s so much more I wanted to do with this truck!
Well done Michael and dad great progress on the pickup
Good looking Ford!!
Nice job, you should have saved the coffee cups. 👍🏻😆
Thats what I said!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoyed this rescue of the F100, being in the U.K. it’s not something you come across often here, but, back in the early seventies I went gliding a couple of times, and as the tow plane was grounded, they would put a cable around a static ground based pulley, hook it up to the F100, which would then drive fast down the runway pulling the glider up, the truck and the glider could then release the cable when required.👍🙂
I so love this truck . it is so hard to find a nice one in this era of pickup they have been driven to death
Great work and looks a lot better with the wash and interior cleaned and buff/polish and excellent work and thanks for the content stay safe and take care
That looks really good. I am glad, and my wife is glad, I don't live close enough to you to buy it!
Thanks! Haha 😅😅
Finally, I have been wondering how old your dad is! He looks younger than I do. I was born in 1980
Love the truck vid mate and the music ,enjoyable to watch
Really glad you enjoyed!
The old girl still has some shine left in her... I'd love to have this truck!
Been waiting for this video

I love all the stufff and Hard work you do with this trucks. I have a 1968 f350 in that exactly same original color, and great condition too...
Great series guys, would love to see more!
Thanks so much!
Love this truck Man. I just might check you out when I’m interested. Take care
What cool little truck, I’d have a smile ear to ear just driving around town
Old girl shined up well 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
That is a very sweet F-100, Great job you both have done to save 👍🏼✌🏼out!
Love your builds. Exactly how I like them.
Hi Michael you and your dad are so cool man reminds me of some of the stuff that I did with my father even though he was a whole lot older than me when I was a teen. He was a very strong man though mentally and physically and spiritually. I am glad that you guys do stuff together, you have no idea. So wow pretty cool truck man you guys did a good job getting that back to the house that's for sure. I heard you gagging it must have been pretty bad, LOL. What a beautiful job keep up the great work with your Channel, great things will head your way. Stay safe stay well and as always God bless. PS I watched a video of a guy in the junkyard looking around and there was a really really nice Corvair in there with twin carbs very complete and in pretty good shape man it is in Columbus Georgia I believe.
Instant like. Keep the good work going !
Thats a beautiful truck....id love that myself
Thank you!
Thanks dude, I feel old. Your dad is only a few months older than me.
Great truck..good save!
Looking good!! 👍👍
Thanks!
Paint looks great!
Detailing with a Comet! Oh my god, ahahahah, genius! Anyway, what a lovely machine. Cleaning nicely done! I guess, you need some paint protection now, so the shine wont fade away again.
This 1967Ford pick up, has that yellow, 8 think it is called, Springtime Yellow,, also in 1977n1978 they had that same version pick up it is rare, to see that style.
Nice truck! And in great shape!
Guys! GUYS! There are still some streaks over the side door! Can‘t you see them? REALLY😳😱?! Oooooh, sorry, it’s the broken glass of my iPad, never mind 🙈🤣 … that‘s really what went on in my head for a split-second, then I had to laugh hard about dumb me 🤷🏻♂️🤣. It’s broken for months, but since it still works perfectly and Apple doesn’t want to replace just the glass I‘ll keep using it for a while. Great job btw!
Excellent video and hope see in future videos too !
Thanks!
Lovely job ...!
Another good one. Great job!
Beautiful Truck!👍
Michael don't forget about that product I told you about at the Dollar Tree in the purple bottle Bang you got to try it out no lie.
Great Job!!
Great end result! Nice little going around town truck or down on the farm work horse. Really enjoy your videos how's the Porsche coming along?
Great video and a great truck
Keep it up guys 😜
Love the truck looks amazing
Thank you!!
I think the fleetsides always look better but the step sides are gaining popularity. Either way nice work.
Yes, I know this is over 2 years later... but I'll toss in anyway. "Fleetside" is a Chev term for the wide box type of bed. Wide boxes for Ford are Styleside. Narrow boxes for Chev are Stepside and for the Ford it's Flareside. I'll concede that over my lifetime, Stepside had become somewhat of a generic term for any truck or van that had a step built into the side of a bed or a cargo box bolted to a chassis but I rarely hear it anymore and it's almost always used by guys even older than I am. Interestingly, it seems that nobody under the age of about 40 even uses ANY of the proper terms or knows them at all. It actually often makes me chuckle a bit when I get funny looks from the younger crowd when those terms come up... because I recognize that they're clueless as to what they are. I'll note that while getting old can be amusing, it still blows. Best wishes! 👍🏻 🛻

I love it
greetings from Germany Berlin
this is good family content, keep up the work. I want to buy that Porsche when your done with it.
I'm starting a channel and I had to laugh at the Mower, OMG just when start to film LOL, I get the same thing
Hi buddy.Very good and important job to save thats cars from the woods. Congratulations from brazilians followers
Thank you!! 😊
Man, that truck cleaned up real nice! You should be able to sell it quick. Looks like your climate is kinder to steel than mine is up North.
That truck seems to have a good body on it still most I see from that era are very rusty and would cost a man lots of money to fix up. Wish I could find one in good shape like you have there, a great find...Yeah like someone else said if I could find one like yours I would keep it for sure, they just aren't out there any more or its very rare to find one like you have there.. Cheers..
I've got a old 64 or 65 mercury 4 door you may be interested in. I'm in Easley SC as well.
Dash, Q-tips, and a toothbrush and toothpicks and a handkerchief with vinegar and water plus chrome or metal polish to finish up.
Michael, sell those other trucks and KEEP this one!
Pro Tip: Cut the bristles of a paint brush in half and use that to agitate interior scum (with plenty of cleaner) before wiping with a rag
Thanks for the tip!
Took me a minute to process that I am older than your pops... Then I wondered if when we lived in Lyman and Welford how many times we could have seen y'all as we were driven around..😂😂
