- I don't know what it is about the beginning of Fall, but I always want to make batts and rolags. Today I went ahead and made four Autumnal looking batts and had such a great time doing it. I don't know why I wait so long in between batt sessions! I also showed my current favorite drum carder cleaning tools. SO GREAT!
I hope you have a great week! Thanks, I love you. Bye!

Today is the one year anniversary of getting my Classic Carder. I should dig into my stash and make myself some batts!
Now I need cooler weather and pumpkin spices…..yummy batts
I really enjoy watching you card and choose your colour selections. Fall colours are my least favourite colour palette. I the colours individually but all together they look like an old 70’s hotel room 😢
BUT cauldron and love spell have tickled my fancy enough to make a blend of falling colours from what I have.
Thank you Trish, as always you have enlightened my view on colours I normally would not have even tried 😊
Does anyone else get super stressed protective when another UA-camr or advert uses TRISH’s music?
I want to see how these spin up. Some of the bats have colors that I wouldn't have thought to put together. I haven't spun from a bat yet, so I haven't experienced the color variations that can go together.
That blue is gorgeousness. This will be a wonderful batt
Finally finding time to watch the entire video. I think you batt making videos are my favorites.
I love watching drum carding videos!
Oooh! Strange Brew is lovely!
Cool tools. It’s the little things in life.
The colours in your batts are absolutely gorgeous!! Happy sigh….
Absolutely stunning fall batts trish. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us all. Lots of love and big hugs to you, John and Luther xx
Those tools are amazing.
I think so too!
Love watching you go batty Trish! Always gives me a smile to see the colours merge and combine as you wind your handle :p Awesome content as per usual.
The batts are amazing. I am always blown away by how the color choices blend together
Thank you! Cheers!
You are so great at putting colors together. I think oh, this and that will look so cool together. Then once I put it together, bam, throwup😆
What beautiful colour combinations. We are having a mini heatwave this week, 30C.
Such a relaxing viddo, and such beautiful bats, just speaks of fall!
Thank you! 😊
Bubble bubble is my favorite
Beautiful colours
Thank you! Cheers!
You make it look so easy... and really makes me want to get a drum carder.
I was too late to get a batt, but I did order the brush cleaning tool for my drum carder ;). Those batts were so pretty, I was especially drawn to the strange brew batt, beautiful!
Nice camera save. Too cool, didn't know those existed for hairbrushes. Gotta love when tools meant for something else work great as crafting tools. I still really wanna get a smaller hand crank Brother drum carder and still on the lookout for a used, good priced one. I like the bubble bubble one best I think.
You know exactly what you are doing. You make beautiful fiber. My colors would look like mud.😂
Thanks for sharing the cleaning tools!
So pretty-I want that batt. I just love how you combine colors
from Gerry- It's always fun to watch you work. You are a master at color blending. Be blessed.
They are all lovely but I think Cauldron #3 is my favourite because of the deep reds.
Beautiful batts. Thanks for sharing the brush tools.
You had me (and my wallet) at green.
So lovely. Love your batts. We are starting spring here in Australia. My area is high altitude so still some frosty mornings but beautiful spring bulbs are flowering and that brings me so much joy.
I love fall 😊
So many pretty color combinations!
those brush cleaning tools are simply amazing! I'm adding them to my wishlist! and the batts are absolutely stunning as well
I have some tools to keep my drum clean, I hate a messy carder. Yes I do play with different colours too.
Love watching your color combinations!
Beautiful colours!Getting me excited about fall 😊
You really got a lot done and love the color combinations. 😊
Neat little tool
Love the color combos you used for your batts. The tools sure make it look so easy to clean the drum carder. Great to know!@
Ya gotta stahp with these drum carder videos, Trish!!! You're enabling me into buying a drum carder!!! lolololololol
Gorgeous batts ❤ I read The Witching Hour in my teens and loved it so much it inspired my email address which I've had ever since!
Pretty batts. Nice to see you feeling it.
What gorgeous batts!
So much fun!
Your color sense is so much fun to watch when at play making batts. I’m a tad envious 😅.
For batt removal, have you ever used a paper towel roll, (packed with pipe insulation is nice but not necessary if you have a firm roll) for batt removal instead of dowels? Use the tube the same as the sticks by tucking the fiber around it while you roll. If you push into the carder as you roll the tube, everything comes off and it makes a tighter/smaller batt.
I enjoy watching you do your many fiber crafts with above-average skill. 😊 I like learning.
I did a similar batch rolag making day for myself just yesterday! Gotta get ready for spinning season (aka Autumn)
So fun!
I was torn between Strange Brew and Love Potion when I went to your site and after spinning Strange Brew I really wish I’d gotten both! 😄 Nice work!
Beautiful colours!!
I think any of these batts would make great witch hats, wet felted from the batt if this is a non-superwash blend, or spun and knit if sw. Thanks for showing the cleaning tools. I think this video answered my question on your last video, thank you.
Makes me wish I had become a fiber person much younger
These came out beautiful. Thank you so much for the info on the brush cleaners!!!! I have been struggling trying to figure out how to clean my drum carder.
Gorgeous batts!!
Gorgeous work and, as per usual, so very inspirational ❤
I love watching these videos! So pretty 😍
All are stunning 😍
Thanks!
Gorgeous!
I didn’t catch this until two days after posted … the batts sold very fast 😢 couldn’t find them on your site - they were fantastic!!
Go pretty!
This REALLY makes me want a drum carder! This is so mesmerizing to watch.
Wow soo mesmerizing 🥰💜
Gorgeous combos Trish and I had to purchase another thing but sorry didn't use the US supplier. Thanks for tip though, I bought several to take to next spinning group x
Oh it doesn't matter about using the link! That's just to make it easy. ❤️
Ohhhh batts are really nice. I use my drum carder to prep "2nds" after I've combed the best fiber. Then the batts just sit in my stash. Maybe I should try an art bat or some amazing color/fiber blends? Love the inspiration, thank you.
YOUR batts are really nice I mean.. (mine are rough and neppy)😂😂
Soooo pretty! I especially loved 'cauldron' but they're all really beautiful!
would love to buy some of these when available
I use one of the wire things and it works amazing! What a gorgeous shade of green! And those batts!
Woohoo i got one :)
I was thinking that batt should be named cauldron! Then ta-da! We have a little black kitten we named Cauldron.
These are so lovely! and every time I think I can live with just hand tools forever, I see this majestic beauty in action (I guess that could be taken as you or the drum carder either way, my friend😉😆) and I want to get one sooooo badly!!!!!
❤❤❤love
Yummy
Ah shoot, cauldron is awesome
Hello ! I just recently found you on UA-cam. I’ve never worked with fiber/wool, but after binge watching your videos I’m obsessed 😂. You are so lovely so much fun to watch.
I have a small peg loom and I want to make a scarf from roving. I’ll be ordering some of your fiber soon. Any tips?
Oh I think my fav was that first one with all the green! I have a question - the way you make your batts appears quite uniform, does this mean you could expect the overall spun yarn to turn out pretty blended/heathered and uniform or can you still expect some color variation?
Hey, Trish… Do you buy the wool already dyed or dye it yourself? You have so many great colors!
I agree with other commenters - totally mesmerizing! I'm curious though because you sell your batts. Do you weigh out fibre so each unique batt has the same amount of each colour/fiber?
I mean, like a recipe. We're seeing one batt being made per colour way, but do you record what you blend so you can make more? Do you make more than one batt at a time of a certain colour combo (even though we might only see one per combo on the video)
Man you people are fast, but I was able to nab my fave,
Trish, is any of this fiber you have dyed? Love the rich colors.
What are the pre blended fibres you add?
what is the tool you use here, a hand card to pack in the wool?
Where do you sell your batts and stuff?
Thank you for letting me know I forgot to link my shop in the description box. I can't believe it. It's at fiberlovediary.com.
