- Hidden behind the high Bastions of this 16th Century Fort St. Elmo, is this picturesque place called 'DuwiBalli', or DijuBalli/Due Balli ;)
Have always heard about this landmark in MALTA from many films produced in malta, like the Award winning 'Midnight Express' in 1978, Black Eagle (featuring Jean Claude Van Damme) and some other Biblical productions.
Going through this secret Tunnel, ending up exploring this marvel !!
Together we will be exploring it, and see what else is hidden in between.
AdventureShop Competition Question - 'When was the Great Siege of Malta?' All those with the correct answer will be eligible to win another great gift by the best Outdoors 2-storey Store on the island ... AdventureShop.

I always wanted to see down there, this is great nice one for showing us.
My pleasure boss ... keep following we have much much more coming up
Back in 1978, it actually passed as a Turkish prison for a movie. When in reality a Turkish prison was a sterile, impersonal concrete jungle that wasn’t very old.
Thank you for your latest interesting vlog.It s a shame that Fort St Elmo is in that state.I thought that the war museum was in the fort.!.The history of the fort is quite fascinating .As a film location I would have thought it would be looked after better by the powers to be.Grazzi and waiting for you next adventure SS🖐🏻
Thanks Ray ... maybe that is why it is left in that state as well ⁉️ who knows ⁉️
Mary 🇦🇺🙋♀️ hope that one day it will be all cleaned up , so interesting, 👍👍👍🥰💕💕💕🇲🇹
Thanks 🙏🏼🇲🇹
Another nice one enjoyed watching thanks 👍🏻
Hi conrad thank's for sharing it is a shame that powers to be have not spent no money where those people live in valletta take care brother 👍🇲🇹🇲🇹🇲🇹👍
Thanks for your prompt feedback buddy 🙏🏼🇲🇹
You always take us to places we would never see. I wish I was younger and could go to the places you. I know of some wonderful caves and places over here in Wyoming that you would enjoy going to. Thanks for the great videos.
Wow really ? Where is Wyoming ... which country I mean ?? Kindly pm me on Messenger ... Conrad Neil Gatt 🙏🏼🇲🇹
I went once there but half of the building was closed.. I think there used to make carnival related activities.. thanks for sharing
Yes that is what I assumed myself as well. Too many things related to Carnival down there 🙏🏼
Another interesting place thanks Conrad, about siren i can tell you that i work at Valletta and at 12.00 everyday you can hear it
Ok so highlights midday then ;))) 🙏🏼🇲🇹
Could it be the lunchtime siren @ shipyard across the water? ! 🤔.
Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ©.
How interesting 🤨 a bakery !!?
It never amazes me how many hidden treasures there are in Malta
You have excelled yet again

My dad fought there in Fort St. Elmo in his youth miskin....
Always great... Didn't want it to finish!! Hope someday I can go to visit too. Great part of our Maltese history!!
Thanks buddyfor always following 🙏🏼🇲🇹
Thanks too you for always sharing
Nice vlog Conrad and the information was great 👍. This is one of the best
Thanks ... much appreciated 🙏🏼
Whow and I thought I knew Valletta. Didn't have a clue until you looked out the gun posts by the toilet and I recognised the place we call Fosa (not sure of the spelling). Many thanks for a great vlog just thought of a title '' City within a city''
Yes it is a city within a city ;)))
You can also help us further improve our Vlogs by contributing through ... paypal.me/ConradNeilGatt .. much appreciated in advance 🙏🏼
Incredibly.
I love watching your videos, it's always easier for me to find a place later.
I have one question, is it possible to somehow enter Fort Ricciasoli?
Thanks for your following .. will have ti check that ...
Some big names in our country should be proud to restore our gems rather of to construct high ugly tall buildings only!!
Agreed habib
In your narration you mention the name Due Balliji, which has nothing to do with the fort itself. Immediately beneath the Auberge d’Aragon resided a Bali of the order of St John, near the Pilar, and turning the corner resided the 2nd Bali, from which the area took the name of Due Bali, beneath St Elmo and surrounding is known as Il Fossa.
Thanks for the Info Arthur 🙏🏼🇲🇹
What an interesting place - I do hope you tell someone where you are going in case you get lost !!
I do most of the times ... family members I mean

"INTERESTING VLOG!". 🚶 🔦 🎥 Never been to that part of old St Elmo. Yet another historic old place left to crumble. It seems that it is also being used for illegal dumping!.
Can't believe people live down there unless they're squatting?!. SHAME, when one considers the high value of land & property in Malta. THANKS FOR SHARING Conrad.
Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ©.
My pleasure
Such a shame that Lower Fort St Elmo has been allowed to be in such a pitiful state. It is in a shambles. I happen to remember it when it was used by the RMA, long before the carnival float builders squatted in there.Sahha.
Thanks buddy … yes its a Shame
Wasn't this place part of the Police Academy in the past?
I don’t know to be honest ... was it ?
Where can i enter from?
Pm me please

What a wasted opportunity, too much swivelling of the camera and not enough focus on the object of the exercise which was to record the location, ends up as a pointless video of you walking through a series of rooms with scant explanation.
Waste of time.
Thanks for your comment buddy … what seems to be waste of time for one person, seems to be found i teresting enough for 7,162 others …
and serve as an alarm which saw the place being cleaned by the authorities after a few days.
Sorry we disappointed you that much my friend, hope you can find one of our other adventures on our Channel a bit more interesting. 👍🏼🇲🇹❤️
I'm Maltese born but I am disgusted by the Maltese atttitued to littering in 1979 when I firs went back litter everywhere then again in 1991 when I was working for two years working all over the island in towns and villages liter everywhere it's sad to see it's still the same it shits me
So do I buddy ... hence #tlietatlietanaslu
