Its amazing how each thousand knights was worth like 5 or 6 thousand ottoman slave warriors.
Even their elite Janissaries struggled to make an impact here!
Highly recommend reading about this siege. Have read Empires of the Sea by Crowley for a shamelessly slanted history against European Christians and The Religion by Tim Willocks a gruesome fiction meticulously researched with many more historical particles in it. Great action but very descriptive in the fray.
Thanks for your comment! Before visiting, I read about the siege of Malta from the Osprey Campaign series books for some historical background. Certainly a very brave last stand for the defenders here!
