- oh hello world of youtube. here is my gift to the rottmnt fandom- spoiler warning for the movie! go watch it if you haven't already, it's really good :0
if you couldn't tell by the 4 minute animatic, i really adore rise. tmnt in general, but rise will always have a very large place in my heart- the characters, animation, plot, just EVERYTHING is exactly the stuff i like to see in media... and dude the MOVIE??? it's just FANTASTIC,,, and i know the team weren't able to complete their vision (which i am very bitter about) so i wanted to y'know...honor the stuff that we do have? i guess? i don't know, i'm just obsessed with this show and that was enough for me to spend like 3 weeks on this massive project- and this is my first animatic that i actually tried on, so if the artstyle seems to change a lot, it's probably because i went through a ton of art growth in this one thing- there's like a hundred frames so that makes sense.
and yes, if any of you saw that one gravity falls animatic with this song, yes this was inspired off of it. it's honestly pretty obvious it's the same song and everything sooooo
anyways, that's all i have to say! i hope anyone who actually does end up seeing this liked it, if it made you feel better about the show's horrible treatment then WOOO that makes two of us!

hello to anyone who sees this!! i know this is a really REALLY ambitious and over-the-top first video but turtles make me go to extreme lengths sometimes. i'm going to be making a lot more animatics with a similar style to this for rise and maybe some 2012 in there so yeah if you're into that shenanigans you're in for a treat

Anyway I really love the colors in this! Many would be afraid to keep changing them like this especially since they're so vibrant but it makes this so much more dramatic. *chefs kiss*

OKAY OKAY THIS ENTIRE THIS IS INCREDIBLE but if i went into detail i might need multiple paragraphs soo ill just say my 3 favorite parts!
First of all the way you matched up all the lyrics was OHIHOHO so well thought out and very well executed!
Secondly, the way all the colors narrowed down to just grey with small bits of ninpo? Chefs kiss
And lastly the way you drew mikey opening the portal??! Like dude! Ive seen lots of artists redraw that scene but something about the colors/visual design of this one is my absolute fav!
