Lucy Lane is a three year old social media famous German Shepherd living her best life in Sydney, Australia. In this video 'Morning routine with a German Shepherd | Dog training' we take you through how we prepare Lucy the German Shepherd for a long day at home on her own. We cover our morning routine, German Shepherd grooming, exercise and training regime so she isn't restless when we leave for the day. This is essentially our every day (morning) routine.

Lucy is such a sweet dog! 🤗I can’t wait to get my GSD in the near future! I’m learning so much from you. I grew up with dogs my whole life but I always wanted a GSD. Can you maybe do a video on what you think every GSD needs to succeed when it comes to training. For example how to do recalls, heel etc? Just like how to did you leave it training video. I would love to learn how you trained her to do these commands🙃

My GSD also HATES his ears being cleaned so I also have resorted to putting drops on wipe to clean them! Such a well trained girl, I hope my GSD can have off lead privileges like that one day :)
Can you do a video of a full day routine? Especially interested in the evening hours. Maybe cover a few scenarios of when you guys go out to dinner or have company over

Lucy's soft mouth is my Mischa's goals. I still have bruises from her last sneaky munch on my arm. But it's just a bad habit from puppyhood, and we're getting better and better all the time!

Rescue 11 mth - 4 days with me.although I do wish you had have noticed the Mum and Bub on stroller and shown her a bit more respect. 👍🏽 Yes I know Lucy is impessable trained but Mumma doesn’t know that. 🥺

2 weeks ago I got a 9 week old all black German shepherd n wen I brought him home I didn’t knw my 1 year old daughter was really allergic to almost her eyes closing. I schedule a doctors visit for my daughter n meanwhile I crate, potty, stay, sit commands trained him, in only 7 days n he would follow me everywhere. Family doctor said that was best to not have the dog cuz her allergies can get either better or worse. That if I wanted to just give her zertex everyday then tht was up to me but that would be dumb to do that.
I had to rehome him and I interviewed 15 people that messaged me that wanted him. I narrowed it down a great lady tht has a big house, she owns a German shepherd already which the puppy n her dog gets along, n has a big lake house in Michigan. I cried when I gave him to her to carry. I’m a grown man n yet I been crying this last 2 days because of it. Put such hard work and research n finding the right breeder and unfortunately my daughter can’t be around him, n she is only 1 n she loves puppies.
German shepherds are a beautiful great smart breed. I will forever be sad

Bro I think the thing that surprises me the most is how affectionate Lucy is. My boy is loyal to a fault, disciplined as all get out, but has so much energy he doesn’t want to sit still for cuddles. When invited to the couch or bed, when I interact for more than a minute or 2, he wants to just play. He has no cuddle drive 😂
Sounds like our 7 month old girl. Not affectionate at all, but learning to tolerate our affection...if you catch her in the right mood. This was a big adjustment for us since we were used to more affectionate breeds

Hi, does she have outdoor access to go potty when you leave her for extended periods of time? Does she have access to the whole house or just one room? I’m getting my gsd next month 🥰
Hey no she doesn’t have access to bathroom when I’m not home. I make sure she has been plenty before I go.
It’s remarkable how long an adult dog can hold it for. I don’t leave her in the back yard as dogs to go missing here (stolen).
Lucy normally has free run of the whole house but atm I am confined her to her bedroom area for the time we are not home as we have possums running up and down our roof which drive lucy crazy. Once the pest control has taken the possums away she will have free run again.
Giving your gsd free run of the house should be something that you implement over time and not run into. 😊

you are lucky you can brush your dogs teeth. mine practically rips my hand off. he has to be sedated at the vet for his cleaning
