I got Elevate last month and here is my my view on the same. 1. Interiors won’t feel very plush but it’s very comfortable and easy on eyes. Hence pricing is much competitive. 2. Moonroof is just wide enough. I strongly believe Panasonic sunroof is just a show as it compromises the integrity of the car from roof side. 3. Elevate is good for people upto height of 6 feet. I am 5’11 so it’s just alright. Bonet view is superb and is notch above all the cars in this segment. 4. Engine options are lacking however Honda Engines are much reliable than all the engines in competition. 5. As rightly pointed while driving, superb control and ride quality is very good. 6. Yes 3 people in back is bit cramped however it’s good for family (me, wife, dad, mumma, and 4 year old kid) 7. Engine is noisy but what’s worth its take off after RPM of 3. It’s just a 🚀. I think price wise it’s a decent purchase and infact if driven nicely in cities it will give average of 12 13 KMPL. Will share the update after first service of the car.
Hyundai Creta: The undisputed king of the market. Kia Seltos: A luxurious avatar of the Hyundai. Grand Vitara: The VFM pick of the lot. Just look at the package. VW Taigun: For the enthusiasts in the market who want pure power. Honda Elevate: The new kid on the block with Honda City reliability. What a perfect shootout this is! Thank you so much Autocar India. ❤
Honda Elevate is Thalaiva (Boss) with no nonsense Car.. Road presence is Killer with Cadillac front grill & Muscular boxy classy look ..Very cleaver job done by Honda.
elevate : glorified 4 seater. no headrest for 5th passenger. primitive lap belt for 5th passenger. rear AC vent intrudes into 5th passenger. honda had so much time to make things right but they were lazy.

Was waiting for this one. Personally, I would buy a Honda Elevate because it is what my brain would choose as the most sensible of the lot, even though Taigun stole my heart ❤️ Also, Nikhil turned out to be quite the specimen for measuring the boot space 😂😂😂

Best safety - Elevate (most probable or at least at par with VW /Škoda) Need anything else?? If Honda just add ventilated seats and rear sun-blinds, there is no stopping Honda!

I see more emphasis is more on feel good factors like sun roof than safety ratings, ADAS, reliability, long term maitainance, handling and high speed stability factors. Superb Comparison.Elevate has the potential to rule the segment.Come on Honda, kindly plonk your superb diesel engine under its hood along with an automatic and load it with more features. It will set the sales chart on fire.May be Honda can take a leaf out of the South Korean twins book.

I have Renault Kiger CVT. It is the best car I have ever used in the last 40 years. Even in the US I Used CVT automatic cars, but this Renault turbo engine is very powerful . I love Renault cars.
Im using GRAND VITARA alpha automatic smart hybrid variant. What AUTO CAR reviewr said in this review is absolutely right. I have done 3500kms. It is exactly the same opinion i have about the car. I felt the car to be little slow apart from that the car feels smooth and refined when you are not driving it in a hurry. It is a proper family car for a matured driver who doesn't wanna drive like a rally driver. Chassis of grand vitara is highly capable of having a much powerful engine but maruti prefers mileage as a selling point to indian customers. In city i get 14 and on highway easily 20.5 and above. The gearbox and engine is so tuned from mileage. Automatic grand vitara is very smooth and relaxing to drive.
For me elevate has all the major attributes, 1 build 5 star should be as its based on the city, build which creta or seltos lacks, 2 engine reliability which the vw group might lack specially the 1 litre 3 and handling better than the Koreans maybe par with the vw twins 4 base model itself is loaded just add a camera and a music system
Elevate sales really disrupted kushaq and Taigun sales , i was not expecting that . Already in 3rd spot on sales . Its surprising because it is less feature packed and only 1 engine option 😢.
Just wait as Honda might launch the new indonesian wrv which is based on amaze platform... That's car looks so good for its segment and interior of that wrv is same as Indian amaze too...
As a customer its a win win situation for us.. There are so many rival cars in this category and all are fantastic products in their own way.. For different requirement, there is something available there. Kushaq and astor are also there.. Curvv will be launched in few months. Don't hate any product guys.. Every product has its own USP, if not then the segment will be killed just by creta and GV. Ultimately we are winners due to luxury of 6-8 multiple products. 🔥🔥🔥

Brilliant shootout. 5 years ago similar shootout helped me choose the Jazz CVT. That was the video (baleno/jazz/i20) which hooked me to Autocar. Clearly Elevate is a better option out of all these cars. However, lack of engine options is a big miss by honda.
Lack of engine choice but do remember it cost 5 lakh less than competitors
I also came to the same conclusion after seeing this.
Honda's entry level engine is definitely better than Hyundai & Kia. If you can spend more then get the turbo motor from Hyundai or Kia.
Saw elevate today in Mumbai , it looks far better than what we see in the reviews.
Surely, With respect to the price, Honda Elevate hits the spot with being more practical, more spacious and most importantly NA engine at the core.
NA engines are underrated. People will understand when these newer turbos cross the 1 lakh KM mark 😂
Seltos IVT is NA my friend.
