Getting me excited for summer 🔥
Sounds excellent
Glad this video came out when it did 😅 I've had both, the track and touring with the black tips in my shopping cart for the past 3 weeks, couldn't choose which one I wanted. Watched video after video, but this one has me set on the touring 🙏
We timed it just for you lol
I have the same cat back. Whats the best down pipe for this setup?
Got this same exhaust on my STI. Love it
My name is Wes too and I also love the AWE on my STi! 🍻
@@wenypz7072 yessir! Cheers buddy
Bought it last night!
just installed these on my car last weekend, and i love them. had an issue with my tips. they would not clamp on the exhaust. just bent the tabs and the bolt. AWE sent some replacement ones though.
I have the touring on my sti, loud when you want it and quiet at cruise with no drone. As the exhaust settles in it will quiet down slightly after 1000 miles all so, but gets deeper if that makes sense, plenty pops and crackles to.
Would you say the touring is louder than the r400 or tomei?
@@lucian7182 louder then the r400 from outside the car but quieter inside the car
Do you know if the sti ones would sound good on my WRX? I know the WRX and sti ones are different
Just installed the track on my wrx… night and day difference coming from an Invidia R400
Just got these the other day for a steal and for some odd reason I have a minor leak on the vband clamps used to connect the pipes together. I have tried tightening them and ensuring they are covering the entire markings on the pipes. I went as far as purchasing new clamps to see if that would fix the problem but that didn't work. Anyone else experience this?
I can’t decide on ETS cat back or AWE touring
I love your yellow accents on the exhaust cutouts! Where are they from?
Where can I get those green accents/pinstriping? They look sick

Still using the stock J-pipe or are you tuned on a new 3" one?
If you're using an aftermarket one, what gasket did you use for the J-pipe to the midpipe connection?
Stock downpipe!
Good, you got the slip clamp tips vs their fixed tab tips. Sounds better on the STi than it does on the WRX. I know part of this is due to the UEL headers, but the mufflers are alao different on the Touring for the STi vs the WRX. I like mine on my WRX...but, I wonder if Nameless' 4" or 5" axle-backs would have given me a similar result with (potentially) better sound. Sure, the 3" Touring CBE flows 'better' than the stock pipes, but does it matter on the stock tune?
No, catbacks don't really have any effect on power! You'd need the downpipe/jpipe to add power
Having had both, I liked the way the nameless sounded better
I have a small exhaust leak where the muffler clamps to the y pipe. I have it torqued to 40lb. I can feel the leak and see water dripping on a cold start, once the pipes heat up the leak stops. Any suggestions? Awe told me it was normal with slip joints and will seal itself up over after a few hundred miles.
Yeah.. that spot is super common for leaks for a lot of different models and manufacturers. You could add some gasket sealer, but that spot leaking isn't a real issue in any way for performance or reliability.
WRXGarage that’s a good point, a slight leak till I’ve driven 5 minutes isn’t too bad, thanks for the quick response. I’m gonna try to maybe add another 5lb of torque and see if it matters aswell.
What intake and Jpipe you running
Sounds good! Is this car on a stock tune?
Yes! Stock tune
What’s the set up? Turbo back exhaust? Is this the touring?
AWE Catback touring
@@WRXGarage you running aftermarket Downpipe?
Nope!
Nameless muffler deletes. Make it loud and proud!
OK, how can I get my wrx to sound like that? I know the sti is better, buttt I didn't want to pay an extra 10 grand. Yes I know, I'm cheap. Lol.. But seriously, what do I have to do guys??? I know its a different motor. But i love that sound..
Cheap quick way to sound better is remark Axel back exhaust we have a couple videos of what it sounds like
Or you get headers
you buy unequal length headers for the WrX and you'll pretty much sound similar to the STI
Get the tomei ueh
