@@michaelpetrovich5353 I have very fond memories of it since the Waaagh update, in a campaign with the Empire I saved Karaz-a-Karak for the dwarfs and helped them push against the Green Tide while giving them back their settlements. If I wanted to do to that whitout the mod there would have been a bunch of useless, hard to defend, wasteland settlements in my hand.
I can never get it to work for some reason. It must be a clash with some other mod I use. I will have to try again, I haven’t got around to playing much since silence and fury released, and have played with mods disabled since then as most weren’t updated. I'm the same way man. I do have some other mods on that are mentioned in the other video: Deeper Darker Sea, Cleaner Balance Bar, Clear Skies - these are all crucial! :)
There is not just any one mod I can recommend. At any given time, Im running over 100 mods, maybe over 200. But the core revolves around Mixu's Unlocker, Cataph's Southern Realms, Kraka Drak and High Elf Sea Patrol. The list can go on indefinetly.
I like using those and then ovn lost factions. Even if you play as a base faction it's just so cool to go into Araby and kill Arabs or into the mountains and kill another unique dwarf faction. And then having to deal with Troll tribes and chaos dwarf invasions.
One thing about dryrain's skins for the empire is that it removes the unique color off of ror and elector count units. ex. Stirlands revenge will have default empire colors instead of stirlands yellow and green. Same for nordland mariners, and a few others.
Hey #italianspartacus. Nice Video. You should try out the population mod that allows you to see what's the actual population in your cities and recruit units depending how how many dudes left in your settlement. I think it's a great mod and very realistic lorewise, for example you don't really need to worry about Skaven or Greenskins population since they are almost unlimited but you need to be extremely careful not to loose your greatswords or Grail guardians because human blood is more rare. Just like Lotr where humans are struggling against Sauron due shortage of men. it adds huge depth to the game and I think all total war games ( since attrition is also a big aspect of a war) should have this feature incorporated.
I use BloodPerformancePack which is very similar to less blood and gore but which seems to give me a higher fps boost. I recommend another mod by the same author - Blob Shadows Pack. Shadows and gore are the biggest hit to my performance because I think they involve the cpu more and this game isn't well optimized on that front. Using both these mods, on my medium PC, I can maintain 60fps at 1440p with ultra textures and many other settings on high. Of course, in massive 40 + 40 battles, particularly sieges for some reason, I still dip below my target framerate but that's fine. Fingers crossed that optimization is a priority for WH3 given they are staying with the same engine.
Random total war generator. Or what ever it is called is fantastic. It randomises you and everyone else’s starting locations. So you could have the empire starting in the southern realms surrounded by scaven and dwarves. It also is fun as it flips objectives around so the first ones you do on a regular campaign first are difficult to get too. I found most of my campaigns just followed the same path to win. Playing the empire starting on the southern realms or on the donut and having to fight your way back to Altdorf taken over by green skins is a crazy campaign.
sounds fun but the one major flaw is that you'll often start in uninhabitable regions that make your growth and overall campaign speed extremely slow and boring and constantly only having low-tier units where the AI sits on their comfy tier-4 and tier-5s lol
Unquie Faction Capitals is a must for me! It adds so much flavour and personality to many Captials such as lothern, altdolf, Khemri and more! One of the best graphical mods ever made for TWH2
Gotta say I love most of these myself. Don't use the daytime/ nighttime one but the rest are great. I also love the One Button Respec mod. Gotta have that if you're going to confederate the other factions in your race. The AI does a horrible job with this so I always use this mod.
One Button Respec is basically a necessity for my playthroughs, and it's honestly pretty baffling that CA haven't added a respec mechanic to the game already.
Great video @ItalianSpartacus! Unfortunately many of the mods are outdated according to the mod manager atm. Do they still work or are there going to be issues?
Yup! :) Like I was saying in the beginning, they all still work. This is me playing with those mods ALL on, regardless of which one I'm showcasing, on the current patch!!
The building progression icons is literally the best mod for the game IMO. Such a little thing adds so much flavour to the game, can't ever go back to vanilla's icons, it really ought to be base game.
I've always been a fan of campaign map mods over battle map mods. I have the Home Region Movement and the Building Progression also. It's amazing how Warhammer Fantasy has supreme mod support system as it can have 80 mods running and not crash as long as they don't conflict much ( I took almost a week to run my tests to have this conclusion ) whereas the ones for TW3K is just like a snowflake. You should do a playlist reviewing the campaign map mods. Cataph Southern Realm, Mixu and OvN Lost Factions is a good start.
I'd highly recommend Table Top Caps by DrunkFlamingo. It implements a version of the core/special/rare system , limiting the amount of elite units you and the AI can field in each army. This way it helps to make lower-tier units feel more useful and necessary throughout the campaign and it works great with the Closer to Tabletop Overhaul from Cataph which I prefer for unit balance.
Yeah good choices, I used already 8 out of 10, I've now added Campaign Day/Night cycle :) Yet not Home Region movement Bonus as it's mainly a bonus for player
Love the idea of a standard bearer, but to these replace the default "selection banners" or are they on top of them? What happens if standard bearer dies? Actually it would be (maybe) a cool mechanic to introduce in to the game. Like if the bearer falls a unit suffers a little debuff to the leadership.
As of now, the banners are still there, but there is an officer (generally 1 single model that's of higher tier). No moral penalty since it'd be solely reliant on RNG, but good idea
Mods are my life: Rebanner II, Faction officers, Alt unit cards, Lords of Knight Konrad, Redmaw, Doombull wreaking ball, Zombie dragon unit, Coatls reskin with helmets, Lizardmen tweaks, Spooky Rakarth, Undead RED eye glow, Skaven Red eyes, Hydra species, Hydra breath in melee, painted campaign map, (Mixus Lords)- You need to do a video on this. It is bringing so much to the table and in a lore-friendly balanced way. really top-notch and CA is 100% taking notes from him. Resized chaos steeds, Recruit defeated Lords, GCCM maps, Moulders menagerie, HN banner, Miscast mod, Proper stone trolls, Cleaner unit card, Krox color fix, Expanded event art, All of chaos robbies units. And alot of others that add color variation to monsters.
Great content,..is there a city building mod where you can build your own citys, towns or even add roads etc, even if its game play battle rudimentary?
Honestly I never liked the puzzles, not because it makes me sit and think things out, but because it kinda jars the pace of the game _juuust_ enough to make one think "alright im getting sick of these, I don't wanna search ruins anymore unless my Legend Lord's quest requires that or some quest needing me to do so" Which is sort of the reason why i picked up the "Puzzles solutions on screen" mod, _yes_ it takes the fun out, but the way i play and how i go about my campaign and how the puzzles causes _just_ enough of a discomfort, i consider it a necessary sacrifice. Though I definitely recommend the Trade Regions mod, and I've grabbed the Less blood less gore mod.
The Realistic Fog of War mod for me, it gets rid of almost all of the weird spiraling blue magic that lines the map makes it much easier on the eyes and saves on performance too
I think home region movement should be in base game. It's totally reasonable to me that armies would move faster in their own territory. Armies know those lands, they feel safer, have better morale etc.
Sweet jesus..I didn't realize what save camera mod meant. After seeing this I can't believe not using it. I do that camera shit every single time. Thanks for the info
Please help any one... As it is now, when you load a saved online campaign (or save the game), you can see a map with highlighted territory owned by each player. I pretty much just play head to head multiplayer campaigns - this obviously is not ideal since every time we save and every time we load the game from the lobby, we can see eachother's territory. This poses a pretty frustrating problem as it negates any way of sneakliy acquiring territory. It would be very helpful if there was a way to disable this by default, and instead of seeing a map when loading and saving, you just saw a logo, or something else, or nothing at all other than the save name. This would enable the players to play the campaign competitively and not have it be obvious when the other player is trying to stealthily expand, which I believe would be an intended option. Is there a mod to put a screen blocker over the map
I may sound stupid, but I just start playing this game, I see that you got a Ranger unit as Tirion in your army, so is there a way to recrute units from other High elven factions???
Is there any mod that allows for easier confederations? I can pla avelorn and have a +300 relationsship with Tyrion, but he is a big boy and doesnt need nobody...
Very good video as always - I just subscribed to most of these at your advice. One I didnt was "Decline Diplomacy." I have a question about that one - does it stop other factions from declaring war on you? That seems like it might make the game just a bit too easy.
No not at all! It just makes you auto-decline their "Defensive alliance" spams which occur at the end of every turn as you get larger. Sorry, forgot to mention that part! DOH!
IS the day / night cycle mod still working ? I saw that it wasn't updated and a bunch of people asking for it to be updated so I wasn't sure about it oo
Excellent video I would really like more of this in the future. In the meantime if anyone can help me, I am looking for a mod that makes the physical size of some of the smaller units like infantry bigger. I love watching the animations in this game but sometimes I have to choose between winning or watching with my difficulty level. Thanks for the video and help!
For hooveric Reskin I have this issue where lizardmen and pirate coast look really weird like really pixelated you gous got a fix? I run my game on max settings
a few mod who i like: One Button Respec (must have), Enable AutoResolve Quest battles , Earlier Regiments of Renown , Execute (useless) Lords & Heroes , Force Confederation
It's a small thing but it would be better if you said "like and subscribe" closer to the mid or end of the video, especially in case new viewers show up, because if you do at the beggining you haven't shown a reason to like and subscribe yet, so it can be annoying rather than a reminder
I think you should do like a simple "optimization" guide. My 6700xt isnt a slouch, but there are moments where i dip into the low 40s at 1440p with med-high settings. It doesnt need to be a super in depth video, but little thinks like the 3d portholes I thought applied to impacts from artillery.

Kimlegar's Dwarf Riders : this mod puts dwarfs on pigs?
I use most of these mods, but don't use "Home Region Movement Bonus". It's a cheat mod, just use your Agents, to slow the enemy Army!!! The A.I. can't handle this mod! I would also recommend: Camera Mod Skips Intro Logos UI Unit Markers No Gras (a little performance Improvement) No Dust Improved Arrow Trails Brighter Borders New World UI Overhaul High Resolution UI Improvements Settlement Panel Landscape Unit Cards - Definition and Saturation GCCM: Unique Faction Capitals True Masters Spooky's Dark ELf Master Variant Pack Darkstrand's Malekith, Witch King Of Naggaroth, Reskin Army Carousel Better levelup Icon Better Vanilla Ranks Icons Urgat's Unit Card Frames
It's not a cheat. You do know, agents aren't always available? Historically armies enjoyed a maneuver advantage when in their home region. Scouts/pathfinders/local units would know all the shortcuts and locations that an invading army would be unaware of. That was the reasoning for this. Also, it helped combat the forced march circus, when chasing an army, in forced march, continuously in a circle as it remained just out of reach.

@@italianspartacus ah okay, oh the campaign day night mode! Gotcha! I love it and Wish Warhammer II had a real night time mode like Troy does!
@@italianspartacus Great thumbnail by the way
Thank you! :)
I'm subed bro I gotchu!
For hooveric Reskin I have this issue where lizardmen and pirate coast look really weird like really pixelated you gous got a fix? I run my game on max settings
Cant believe the Respec mod isnt here...
i think the blood in game is fine i mean you have some guy charging in to fight 600 people hes gona be caked
a few mod who i like: One Button Respec (must have), Enable AutoResolve Quest battles , Earlier Regiments of Renown , Execute (useless) Lords & Heroes , Force Confederation
great video
It's a small thing but it would be better if you said "like and subscribe" closer to the mid or end of the video, especially in case new viewers show up, because if you do at the beggining you haven't shown a reason to like and subscribe yet, so it can be annoying rather than a reminder
I think you should do like a simple "optimization" guide.
My 6700xt isnt a slouch, but there are moments where i dip into the low 40s at 1440p with med-high settings.
It doesnt need to be a super in depth video, but little thinks like the 3d portholes I thought applied to impacts from artillery.
Disabling/Uninstalling the blood dlc is the largest improvement possible.
Nice video
Comment for the algorithm
How did you not include the map randomizer ??? Lizards starting in norsa for example!!
"less blood less gore"
Khorne is displeased.
SFO
Radious
OvN lost factions
Banner Overhaul
Top 5 overhaul mods?
1:35 what the hell is that?
How do I not have decline diplomacy!? Thanks Sparty
it's glorious!! :D
I want my 5 minutes back, next time just put a black screen with white text that says "please like and subscribe and leave a comment" would be enough.
The best mod is no siege battle mod, no wall = no siege.
Are these mods causing problems in multiplayer battles? When I tried to install camera mod, it simply wouldn"t find a game in quick battle.
yes You cant play with mods in MP even if they cosmetic.
@@joshmilner4864 Too bad. So that means that I would have to disable them all before going multiplayer, right?
@@AgoraphobicNews ya, if ya wanna play multiplayer just disable them in the launcher. Not a huge deal since it’s pretty easy to disable/enable them, just gotta restart the game if ya wanna turn them back on.
@@AgoraphobicNews yup its super easy tho. use keadrin mod manger for mods then when you wanna play MP u just boot up game normal. Keadrin mod manger lets us use "last used mods" so makes it super easy and it loads everything in better order and pulls info from all needed folders.
I'm honestly shocked that a small 3d portrait takes up that much fps. Why? That's so dumb
Sei italiano? :)

Photoshop? Am I the only one who's giving himself a headache by trying to mentally rotate the discs?
Malal fans pls give me a mod pls 😭
I use most of these mods, but don't use "Home Region Movement Bonus". It's a cheat mod, just use your Agents, to slow the enemy Army!!! The A.I. can't handle this mod!
I would also recommend:
Camera Mod
Skips Intro Logos
UI Unit Markers
No Gras (a little performance Improvement)
No Dust
Improved Arrow Trails
Brighter Borders
New World UI Overhaul
High Resolution UI Improvements
Settlement Panel Landscape
Unit Cards - Definition and Saturation
GCCM: Unique Faction Capitals
True Masters
Spooky's Dark ELf Master Variant Pack
Darkstrand's Malekith, Witch King Of Naggaroth, Reskin
Army Carousel
Better levelup Icon
Better Vanilla Ranks Icons
Urgat's Unit Card Frames
It's not a cheat. You do know, agents aren't always available?
Historically armies enjoyed a maneuver advantage when in their home region. Scouts/pathfinders/local units would know all the shortcuts and locations that an invading army would be unaware of. That was the reasoning for this.
Also, it helped combat the forced march circus, when chasing an army, in forced march, continuously in a circle as it remained just out of reach.
Love it
