I’ve been playing 35 years and never knew that. Mind blown. Maybe I’ll finally not hate my floor tom
And if you really want to ground the floor tom - remove all the legs😂
That's funny shit
Ba dum bump tssss
I've used this tip many times.... Sound guys were bowled over. Thanks Don!
Very impressive. I’ve been playing for 40 years, and never knew that. It just goes to show, you’re never too old to keep learning and that never ending journey to perfection...Thanks for the great video...!
I don’t even play drums. Why am I here
Same here, odd eh?
Same.
cuz this sh* is fascinating, that's why.
it's physics turned into acoustic manipulation turned into practical handy fix associated with a fun activity. We learn and play this but after years you forget how cool this all actually is.
😩😩🤣🤣🤣🤣
Teo because you might want to some day soon .
That is freaking awesome. I have had this problem for years. Thank you so much!

Just pop off the rubber foot It's the same. No rubber No insulation No insulation No sound duration
@david adar - I was going to suggest the same! And now I understand why the floor tom on my first kit sounded rather lame; It had no rubber feet! :-))
This is very UNIQUE , And best ever Floor Tom Trick I have Seen . Very Nice, in 15 seconds you get RESULTS.
That was Awesome Sir, Thank you so much for this trick..........
That is really awesome. Thank you v
That was gnarly

What?!? 🤯🤯 That’s crazy!! Brilliant... but crazy!!! Trying this at my gig tomorrow.
Awesome tip!
That seems to match the sound of the two mounted Tom's being grounded out by have a double Tom mount and being mounted on the bass drum.If you take a mounted Tom and hold it in your hand separately,it reasonates like a floor Tom with the rubber feet. What you gave us was a good tip to get an all around match to Tom resonance.
amazing
Love it
Never heard of this before. Great tip
NICE!!
Wow I'm amazed
This is quite awesome. :)

Nice!
Great! unbelievable!!! but true. Cheers from Argentina
This is sick!!!!! :) Thanks Don!! WOW :)
Great tip
This is insane!
That makes some sense. The bend in the foot of the leg creates a resonant node, so by flipping it, the ability for the energy to oscillate is squelched.
Clever...
That blew my mind
Nice! 😆👍
Cool trick, Thanks! :-D
Great job Jose!
Nice 🥁🥁🥁🥁
