Seems to make sense to me - if the gi is gonna shrink, do it early, and in a semi-controlled fashion. How many sizes larger do you buy when doing this method?
Couldn’t agree more. Best shrink even before first used. But from my experienced, I have manage twice to shrink black gis just right after first used. My gi size is basically the smallest at A0 😅
@@gloriousss.6832 I’m between an A2 and A3 but even the L and H variations don’t fit so it sucks. Being tall and lanky is tough. The pants are fine but the tops are always huge.

After 10 years I just bought a new gi and the top is huge. Fingers crossed that this’ll work.

I doubt it will shrink that much. Usually i would say for a size down would be possible. 😅
