- Check out this cantilever railroad crossing tour in Hialeah, Florida. This is an FEC crossing equipped with pedestrian crossing gates and mechanical bells which are an endangered species nowadays. It's located on LeJeune Road which is a vital artery in Miami and South Florida and gets several trains daily including the Port of Miami to and from the Hialeah Yard in Miami Springs. At the very end of the video, you will see the CSX Downtown Miami switcher Southbound cross perpendicular to this track at IRIS Interlocking where the CSX meets the FEC tracks in Miami.

Great tour as usual my friend! Nice to see another cantilever crossing, I've never seen one personally... Truck driver at the beginning has huge respect to "Do not stop on tracks" sign! Stay safe out there!
I don't know about any cantilever crossing here. Our roads are not so wide (usually just 1 lane in each direction) to need a cantilever crossings. What a shame! :( Occupying of RR crossing is a common cause of RXR accidents, driver is not able to go neither forward nor backwards... Our truck drivers also pay much attention in school, lol!
I meant it as irony, truck drivers are same all over the world! I've seen many of these accidents on UA-cam and fortunately, the train usually wins!

Nice crossing and good tour! I don't believe the lights are incandescent either. To me, those look like Dialight Low-Wattage LEDs. I often find that incandescent lights typically have a darker red lens than LEDs do.

Sounds like they need to rebuild the crossing bed.
I guess they already got to replace the older gate mechanisms before you could record them! Since you know this crossing well, do you remember what was in place prior to the Cantilevers? Nice catch of the Y-Train btw! I'm surprised that I just randomly caught it!
Every time a car or truck drives over it it sounds like one of the rails is loose and makes a loud banging on the crossing bed

there has been 13 accidents here only 2 people were killed here, well i guess thats what happens when you stop on tracks
