Railroad Crossing Major Malfunction Nightmare

- This is a video I made at the West Broward Blvd railroad crossing in Fort Lauderdale Florida on the Florida East Coast Railroad at a very busy crossing that is malfunctioning and causing a traffic nightmare for vehicles stopping and getting stuck between crossing gates on the tracks and motorist panicking to get off the tracks thinking they will get hit by a train.

"They're working out! Looks like I need to, too!" Lmao
Too many ghost trains in that city. Those crossing gates are trolls. lol
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
Think of South Bay, that's worse.
Ya🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂

I don't know why but I really laughed hard at this video. I don't know what was funnier: the gates going down every minute or the facial expressions of the host! Awesome job!
I'd say there's something malfunctioning in the relay case. Probably the sensor wiring.
I love it. A few months ago, I was in downtown Pensacola, Florida ... right after a train passed, the gates went up, traffic starting going, then, they went back down. Ended up hitting a van. But your video is way better. Love the videos brother!
Bruh Pensacola is where Jeffy lives he thinks he lives on Jeffy Jeffy St.
Could a second train have been coming?
Americas high speed bullet train.
so quick you cant see it
Same Edward
was it the deloring coming through and we didn't see it lol
with a speed faster than light xD
Or as Railrol82 says it’s the ghost train
An American High Speed Rail system - semi trucks wiped out even faster.
This video is brought to you by: GhostRail, helping you get to your destination quickly and causing chaos at the crossings since 1977 😂😂😂
Timothy Rogers Railfanning c'-h
Lavondrick Rogers Hahaha XD 😂😂😂
Lavondrick Rogers Random fact of the day, the railroad company GhostRail headquartered out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida has the Guinness Book of World Records award for fastest train in the world 😂😂😂
Lavondrick Rogers If they can fly through a crossing that fast, they must have an award for it 😂😂😂
Don't you mean since 1966(6)?
They need to fix this a.s.a.p because what if there was a train coming and the crossings were up and did not go down .The cars are in hot water
Are you stupid? The gates are malfunctioning, the train would be able to hit the sensor and have the crossing go down with no problem. This right here is most likely caused by something near or on the sensor causing the crossing to mess uo
@@tkprod19 That's not a reason to question someone's intelligence.
Just because someone might not know the intricacies of how a USA train crossing signal works doesn't mean he is stupid. It is a valid concern that a train might approach and the signals fail.
You could have taken the opportunity to educate without assuming that anyone who doesn't know as much as you do is stupid. Everyone has to start from somewhere, and that somewhere is not knowing anything at all about a subject.
@@AndrooUK I did not mean it in a bad way
Italian Railways are different from US ones, but I believe that all railways have something in common. Some years ago, we had on a main line an oxidised track circuit which was sending false informations about its status (it was thinking it had a train on for one minute and then free himself, without an actual train on him, but was still working efficiently when a train was on him, so that the rail traffic was still safe). This track circuit was the trigger point for a Level Crossing, so that everytime the track circuit became occupied, the level crossing was closing, and when the track circuit was free, it was opening. That caused exactly the same behaviour seen in the video until the maintenance crew fixed the broken track circuit.
Luckily enough, the street the level crossing was onto didn't have so much traffic, so the discomfort was really small.
I actually like the commentary on this.
I have never seen a canteliver that big in my life
That big cantilever is similar to Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf, Maryland on the CSX Popes Creek Subdivision. The line I grew up with since 1998. Here's a link to what one of the cantilevers look like: www.google.com/maps/@38.6554512,-76.8745716,3a,75y,156.58h,98.32t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sKaMr9E8u01EiNhnX9U14AA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
There was one in Huntsville, Alabama where freebrickproductions reside. I watched his train and railroad crossing videos on UA-cam, and this railroad crossing look EXACTLY like that.
Same here!
They need the big cantilever because look how huge the road is and it's such a busy intersection
America is renowned for its big things. 😅
Man that is a nightmare hope they fix it by now
this guy is hilarious xD
this is the kind of humor i would throw in.
It is called ghost rail since 1954
Idk why but this was strangely satisfying to watch...
+Millenniumforce *To what cause(s) were the false triggerings eventually traced?* This kind of malfunction burns out gate motors.
Time 11:28 The largest vehicle I'd want to drive around _this_ grade crossing would be a Harley-Davidson® FLTR 107 - between tracks 1 and 2, clearance enough for wide freights in opposite directions. (Between Tracks 2 and 3 is suicide; wide loads pass each other by inches, leaving nowhere to go but down and sometimes not even _that_ escape. :-S ) With my issue Ford, I'd be stopping short, wigwags or no wigwags - too much distance across the tracks to gauge traffic on the far side.
That would be perfect for America's Funniest Home Videos!
The Atlanta Braves must have been playing that day. The gates are doing the tomahawk chop and the gates must be fans of the Braves.
19 minutes of lmao and watching the best video on UA-cam!!!
exact same thing happening at my place across the street from my house lol
worst thing is that it may stay down for a few hours at my place
I’m watching this right now and this is the funniest thing ever with the commentary. I love it so much “there’s a cop right there you think he’d do something about it” took me out. 😭😭😭
you know its kind of crazy how often I see this .....and im very surprised the cops didnt do something about this. i also have never seen 3 gates at once like that , thats kinda cool ( when its not going loco )
LOL
This is something you won't see in the Netherlands, even though we do have lots of malfunctions. Although most malfunctions in The Netherlands are on busy railroad crossings, But that doesn't say that they aren't annoying. Sadly I have never seen a malfunction. I would love to actually see them myself.
why
Dutch Railroad Crossings it's ringing
Could be a malfunctioning shunt at the end of the approach circuit causing the impedance of the rails to change even when there's no train.
Hahahahahahaha! How do you stop the ringing in the head? Lol
There are some tracks on my way home from work that traffic backs up onto a lot. I always stop before them even though it gives time for other cars to cut in front of me because I know what happens to idiots like the cars in the videos. One time I was stopped before the tracks and a train came and it was awesome because I got a very clear reward for not being an idiot.
Yeah, you're still breathing.
shariys1 exactly!
Why dont you call the number on the crossing
Homeless Johnson that was my question. instead of making a video, why not call the hotline? he could be partially be held responsible in a civil suit if an accident occurred and he didn't bother to call the hotline.
Homeless Johnson he most likely calls them in then records them
In all his videos he call first then makes the video
@@VonswainGaming shut up
What IS going on is this gate has duel purpose:
making way so a train can pass
and
road charming ( just like a speed hump or stop sign)
LOVE your facial expressions! Very comical! Great video!
a maintainers dream...not
Wide World of Trains, this is probably the worst malfunction in Florida because this is probably a humongous suicide Crossing that can track cars and then the gates go up in the car so it's that bad and there's probably a lot of traffic congestion over in that area
@Windows 10 how's it looking now?
Wide World of Trains nnj
Wide World of Trains hh
Choo Choo Ben Productions [Older Version] there are no exit gates. The gates that look like exit gates are pedestrian gates.
Millenniumforce are you going to video the bright line trains at some point ?
I've seen this happen on a very busy highway, but what was worse is it was those quad gates (aka suicide gates), every 30 seconds or so, the crossing would activate and when the gates were halfway down, they'd go back up. What's hilarious is it has happened twice with me being present, so I'll likely be able to record it when it does it again.
Probably they're cleaning the track
This is why when you see train warning flashers, you stop and don't fly through the crossing. If there actually was a train coming someone could die.
mean time over here in Arkansas and Missouri we had brand new rail crossings with gates and on the crosswalks. uh they were not working properly the 1st day after they set them up one side gate went down while the other stayed up lol
i love your enthusiasm is funny i laugh at every word you said man
is this a suicide Crossing
Nah its a suicide crossing XD
4:27 Millenniumforce: *this is so much fun.............they're working out*
*looks like I need to too*
The one in Jacksonville is also doing the same thing the gates are going down and then going back up without a train
Every car that stopped on the tracks-ticket. That bus that stopped on the tracks, the driver (Should have CDL) should be taken to court pay a huge fine and or have his CDL taken away for 30-90 days.
I can't believe how much people watch something in just 3 hours
By the way, I really enjoyed that film. Thank you, good job 😁
My iPad is goin to heaven
it's a Malfunction at a junction!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good timing. 😂🤣
In theory, a car isn't supposed to enter the crossing zone if the way ahead is blocked by traffic, but most people don't think about that on a wide crossing like this one. I notice that the gates start coming down just 4 or 5 seconds after the lights and bell. That's awfully quick and doesn't give you much time to plan.
I Love this videos is Awesome thanks for posting on UA-cam.
yep that's broward county at its finest!!
This channel is so funny I subscribed
5:03 - all those cars sitting on the tracks, wonder if that scared the crap out of them.
Is the bell supposed to sound when the gates go up at this rather silly x-ing?
Lol its a new way the railway is controlling the traffic....
How many units were on the ghost train I couldn't even see it did any of you guys see it
Nice clip!
hahah people got stuck but luckily the trains did not come
This railroad is called The Invisible and Western. A bunch of invisible trains went by.
8:52 i was in that white chevy on the track
No you wasn't
That's the GIANT crossing that RailRol82 filmed
The funny thing is, the bell doesn't ring when the gates are down. They do ring when the gates are rising though. Too funny.
Why did it malfunction
I kept waiting for someone's car to be hit by one of the gates... :)
Crazy malfunctions like this is going to have big issues with other residents
"The gate who cried train"
Those gates were teasing the drivers! 😂 Up, down, up, down, up, down. . . 😂
this happens on a busy railway, the one that goes on first, elm hurst, pensylvania ave, glen e., and front, Wheaton
Did you call the Railroad Maintenance to come check the Layout Controls? It is creating Traffic Congestions Very Badly.
Good thing that the gates did not drop and stop that Rescue Rig. As many times as that stupid thing turned on and dropped the gates. One of these times there will be a serious accident or death due to those malfunctioning gates and a real train is coming through. Most people that have been caught by this signal setup in the future may ignore them when the real thing is coming through. Lastly as many times as that signal takes off, someone somewhere has to call the train company and raise Cain about it all, or better yet direct them to your video here. The signals are an accident waiting to happen and the RR Co. involved will extract a heavy toll of lawsuits due to someone dying needlessly.
Thank you for sharing your video!!!!
We have same problem with the train train malfunction which is causing the railroad gates to mount function as well
I feel like one has a conflict with the crossing also I would expect the gates to go up a little bit faster but it looks like they are struggling to go back up.
This malfunction seems way to common in like a million places, why haven't they fixed this type of issue?
There is a large crack sound before the signal goes down the first time
It was the bus
Dude, you were, just, having too much fun with that.
That was a serious malfunction that could cause a really bad accident there a sign says do not stop on tracks.
What if there was no break and they just kept going up and down nonstop
What, even a firetruck tries to beat the malfunctioning gates, how low even the authorities can go? 😮
This crossing has a nice look to them :)
The Railroad Crossing Over Here In Rio De Janeiro Are Malfunctioning Every Minute They Keep Going Off Causing Traffic Delays
awesome video.
likely shjort curcuit thats causing tht or it asumes a trains corssing when there isnt
if its safe to do so have a look at the track sensors there might be a coin or some sort of interference is causing them to go into fault mode
I hope that someone had the intelligence to call the number posted on the control building along with the crossing number to have a signal maintainer dispatched. In case you are unaware, most of these crossings are interlocked with the traffic signals which really creates a problem.
5:00 the cars stopped in the middle of the tracks, i laughed so hard when they hauled ass off and honked xD xD
I think there's a problem wrong with sensor that's causing this major malfunction
Millennium force I love your videos
Train: "Wanna see me go to Jacksonville and back? Wanna see me do it again?"
Mabye the trains are going by really fast?
Did the you call the number near the gate so the can get some one out to fix it because it would cause a nasty accident
He has to
Man, you'd think that after the first few times, SOMEONE would have notified the proper people about this!
Great video!
Best commentary ever
I'm curious if you reported the fault whilst you were recording and commentating...
what song do you use i really like it!
hey Millenniumforce did you get stuck when you tried to cross the crossing
How do you know that the railroad crossing goes up
love his commentary.
I call this piece, the boomgate waltz.
Take it away meistro.
Funny and entertaining!!!!...........but I can understand why they get so scared when the gates go down. And in some cases the traffic stops really abruptly where some people don't have enough time to process the situation and realize they should stop their car before the gates because the traffic is backing up. But yes, there are a good handful of them who are just plain idiots! I wonder out of all those people, who reported this malfunction . Probably not one!
Did anyone think to call the railroad and let them know about the malfunctioning crossing.
Does this happen often?
Are the gates fixed?
Better than bedroom bershka ?
( Up & Down up & down ) !
Do you travel thw country for trains?
Yes and I am about to travel to 25 states in less then 2 weeks by car in search of them and Theme Park roller coasters
