I don't know why but I really laughed hard at this video. I don't know what was funnier: the gates going down every minute or the facial expressions of the host! Awesome job!
I love it. A few months ago, I was in downtown Pensacola, Florida ... right after a train passed, the gates went up, traffic starting going, then, they went back down. Ended up hitting a van. But your video is way better. Love the videos brother!
Italian Railways are different from US ones, but I believe that all railways have something in common. Some years ago, we had on a main line an oxidised track circuit which was sending false informations about its status (it was thinking it had a train on for one minute and then free himself, without an actual train on him, but was still working efficiently when a train was on him, so that the rail traffic was still safe). This track circuit was the trigger point for a Level Crossing, so that everytime the track circuit became occupied, the level crossing was closing, and when the track circuit was free, it was opening. That caused exactly the same behaviour seen in the video until the maintenance crew fixed the broken track circuit. Luckily enough, the street the level crossing was onto didn't have so much traffic, so the discomfort was really small.
Lavondrick Rogers Random fact of the day, the railroad company GhostRail headquartered out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida has the Guinness Book of World Records award for fastest train in the world 😂😂😂
Are you stupid? The gates are malfunctioning, the train would be able to hit the sensor and have the crossing go down with no problem. This right here is most likely caused by something near or on the sensor causing the crossing to mess uo
@@trainknightt That's not a reason to question someone's intelligence. Just because someone might not know the intricacies of how a USA train crossing signal works doesn't mean he is stupid. It is a valid concern that a train might approach and the signals fail. You could have taken the opportunity to educate without assuming that anyone who doesn't know as much as you do is stupid. Everyone has to start from somewhere, and that somewhere is not knowing anything at all about a subject.
That big cantilever is similar to Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf, Maryland on the CSX Popes Creek Subdivision. The line I grew up with since 1998. There was one in Huntsville, Alabama where freebrickproductions reside. I watched his train and railroad crossing videos on UA-cam, and this railroad crossing look EXACTLY like that.
+Millenniumforce *To what cause(s) were the false triggerings eventually traced?* This kind of malfunction burns out gate motors. Time 11:28 The largest vehicle I'd want to drive around _this_ grade crossing would be a Harley-Davidson® FLTR 107 - between tracks 1 and 2, clearance enough for wide freights in opposite directions. (Between Tracks 2 and 3 is suicide; wide loads pass each other by inches, leaving nowhere to go but down and sometimes not even _that_ escape. :-S ) With my issue Ford, I'd be stopping short, wigwags or no wigwags - too much distance across the tracks to gauge traffic on the far side.
Wide World of Trains, this is probably the worst malfunction in Florida because this is probably a humongous suicide Crossing that can track cars and then the gates go up in the car so it's that bad and there's probably a lot of traffic congestion over in that area
This is something you won't see in the Netherlands, even though we do have lots of malfunctions. Although most malfunctions in The Netherlands are on busy railroad crossings, But that doesn't say that they aren't annoying. Sadly I have never seen a malfunction. I would love to actually see them myself.
There are some tracks on my way home from work that traffic backs up onto a lot. I always stop before them even though it gives time for other cars to cut in front of me because I know what happens to idiots like the cars in the videos. One time I was stopped before the tracks and a train came and it was awesome because I got a very clear reward for not being an idiot.
you know its kind of crazy how often I see this .....and im very surprised the cops didnt do something about this. i also have never seen 3 gates at once like that , thats kinda cool ( when its not going loco )
I've seen this happen on a very busy highway, but what was worse is it was those quad gates (aka suicide gates), every 30 seconds or so, the crossing would activate and when the gates were halfway down, they'd go back up. What's hilarious is it has happened twice with me being present, so I'll likely be able to record it when it does it again.
Homeless Johnson that was my question. instead of making a video, why not call the hotline? he could be partially be held responsible in a civil suit if an accident occurred and he didn't bother to call the hotline.
I’m watching this right now and this is the funniest thing ever with the commentary. I love it so much “there’s a cop right there you think he’d do something about it” took me out. 😭😭😭
Every car that stopped on the tracks-ticket. That bus that stopped on the tracks, the driver (Should have CDL) should be taken to court pay a huge fine and or have his CDL taken away for 30-90 days.
mean time over here in Arkansas and Missouri we had brand new rail crossings with gates and on the crosswalks. uh they were not working properly the 1st day after they set them up one side gate went down while the other stayed up lol
No, but one expects the police to report safety equipment problems on public roads to the relevant body, and even to stay at the location to direct traffic if a train approaches and the signal is faulty, or to inform traffic that it can proceed safely.
Good thing that the gates did not drop and stop that Rescue Rig. As many times as that stupid thing turned on and dropped the gates. One of these times there will be a serious accident or death due to those malfunctioning gates and a real train is coming through. Most people that have been caught by this signal setup in the future may ignore them when the real thing is coming through. Lastly as many times as that signal takes off, someone somewhere has to call the train company and raise Cain about it all, or better yet direct them to your video here. The signals are an accident waiting to happen and the RR Co. involved will extract a heavy toll of lawsuits due to someone dying needlessly. Thank you for sharing your video!!!!
I hope that someone had the intelligence to call the number posted on the control building along with the crossing number to have a signal maintainer dispatched. In case you are unaware, most of these crossings are interlocked with the traffic signals which really creates a problem.
Funny and entertaining!!!!...........but I can understand why they get so scared when the gates go down. And in some cases the traffic stops really abruptly where some people don't have enough time to process the situation and realize they should stop their car before the gates because the traffic is backing up. But yes, there are a good handful of them who are just plain idiots! I wonder out of all those people, who reported this malfunction . Probably not one!
I think the crossing wants the Brightline trains to go faster! I've only seen video of them go about 20mph! 12:10 good thing the fire truck made it through!
In theory, a car isn't supposed to enter the crossing zone if the way ahead is blocked by traffic, but most people don't think about that on a wide crossing like this one. I notice that the gates start coming down just 4 or 5 seconds after the lights and bell. That's awfully quick and doesn't give you much time to plan.
It is a nuisance when signals activate when there isn''t any train coming. That encourages motorist to drive around gates, which leads to collisions. People are stupid enough to stop on the track at a red light or in backed up traffic. I have more common since than that. But those who are stupid enough will blair their horns at me to pressure me to move up onto the tracks in stopped traffic.
I don't know why but I really laughed hard at this video. I don't know what was funnier: the gates going down every minute or the facial expressions of the host! Awesome job!

Bruh Pensacola is where Jeffy lives he thinks he lives on Jeffy Jeffy St.
Could a second train have been coming?
I'd say there's something malfunctioning in the relay case. Probably the sensor wiring.

They need the big cantilever because look how huge the road is and it's such a busy intersection
America is renowned for its big things. 😅
The Atlanta Braves must have been playing that day. The gates are doing the tomahawk chop and the gates must be fans of the Braves.

exact same thing happening at my place across the street from my house lol
worst thing is that it may stay down for a few hours at my place
The one in Jacksonville is also doing the same thing the gates are going down and then going back up without a train
Could be a malfunctioning shunt at the end of the approach circuit causing the impedance of the rails to change even when there's no train.
