I’ve used the humidor on a few cards since I’ve been restoring cards and absolutely loving it! It’s helped get cards back to or close to perfect. Thanks Kurt.
Hi Kurt I was just wondering how long you recommend leaving a curved pokemon card in the humidor to get it moist enough to start working on it and getting it back into shape with a set press
@@darkos9641 I would put a card in humidity like Pokémon for an hour. Use 70-80% humidity. A warm room above 70° is helpful too. Then hold the card flat, don’t open it up just hold it flat for a day or two.
When you take the card out like a thicker card a 155 point or 180 do you put them between plates or just let them sit? My son has some cards with small indents in them.
Just let them sit if you are trying to bring a dent up. You don't need plates/clamps. I only use the plates if I'm trying to apply equal pressure to an edge or corner after humidity.
Hey Kurt,,,,,,i just got my humidor today.....How do i get it up and going....Obviously all the directions are for cigars. So what do i need to do to prep my humidor for cards?
I just put distilled water in the little cartridge. Close the lid put it in a room that stays above 70° because a warm room helps as well. It’s that easy. ✌🏼
Hey Kurt, I bought your set a while ago and have been enjoying it. I'm trying to get some dings out of the back of Enchanted Lorcana cards (probably similar to Pokemon as I have both). Wondering if you think leaving this card in humidity would help lift these out.

@@Brandonhart100 Pokémon cards will do the same same thing. But I’ve learned if you use a little light amount of moisture like this it’s been successful. It’s the only thing I could think of to have you try out.

@@kurtscardcare the sides of lorcana cards tend to puff up when exposed to moisture. Think that makes a difference when using this method?

Not on the front of plastic cards, those are permanent blemishes, unfortunately unfortunately
Does it help get little dents out of modern cards like a bowman chrome card?
@@kingoftheblitz I can teach you how to work on the back of them, but if the dent is on the plastic side, I can never get that to go away
