@@julianlu7670 yes, you can do this technique with 90% of Pokémon cards. On my website I have a link called best practices. There’s a few that you want to avoid.

@@bionicsidekick6604 it’s pretty normal for them to have a little crescent. If it’s annoying, you could put it in a penny sleeve and a top loader, and that should usually train it to stay flatter.

@@vileplume4848 you can use the spray first if the card is dirty. The spray is good at removing “stuff” the card polish is good at bringing back the rich shiny look to the surface. The spray can also be used for dent removal and a few other things. But if you’re gonna use it for cleaning, use it first.

@@joeypanozzo hey Joey, probably an ounce. You can reuse the card spray for situations like this because it’s not dirty.

@@ezekielsportmemorabilia7939 I bet you can sell them no problem. I feel like there’s always a buyer for vintage no matter what the condition. But for rehabs, I agree, it’s a lot of work with minimal reward.

@@sgodhardt like to warm the surface and smooth out dents? I’ve tried all kinds of stuff like that, but it’s never been majorly successful. Not good enough to share.

@kurtscardcare yeah was thinking about trying a heat gun or steam at different temp to see if it can tighten the plastic to get out lines. Soaking gets the card flat but often can't get the marks off plastic.

@kurtscardcare not sure if you've tried, but I soaked a base 2012 topps chrome purple refractor and it bleeds blue through the back.

@@sgodhardt yes, I’m with you. I did make a video about that exact same year having the blue issue. I’m sorry if you missed it. Were you able to get your blue to go away? After a couple weeks, the blue faded from my test card, but it was still there to degree. I couldn’t get it to flush out totally

@@kurtscardcare no worries, I'm enjoying testing things out myself on junk cards. The main reason I attempted was because I have a Harper purple refractor /199 with a pinhead dot on the that I can't get to budge. Just have to accept it as is I guess.

@@BrandinoTheGod great question. Card graders can’t detect anything like this. You’re just getting the card back to its original shape. It’s a skill to be proud of. ✌🏼

@kurtscardcare oh ok awesome. What's not awesome is the cards I have apparently ain't worth s#it 🤦🏽😅. Idk tho it's really hard to determine just looking at ppl selling on ebay. Seems like ppl just put whatever price they feel like. I wish there was like a Kelly blue book for cards lol

@@thelasvegaskid you’re 100% correct. It’s a card they don’t really like to grade based on exactly what you said. If you can get one, I wouldn’t even worry about the grade. Just pick one up. This is a classic.

@@thomasbarker7787 you can do that, Card spray is good at removing dirty stuff so the newer cards might not be very dirty but you’d be surprised that card polish can’t even make them pop a little little bit better.

@@kbatch80 great observation. This is 24 hours later so even though it feels dry, I know there’s a little bit of moisture still in it. My next step would put it in a sleeve and put it semi rigid. Fast-forward a week it will look exactly the same if it’s done right. Moisture is the variable when it comes to these delicate surfaces.

@@mcha90 if it’s a paper finish vs chrome possibly. But if it’s a plastic rigid finish, it won’t move.
