I had trouble with the mice escaping so switched it up & had alot of luck just using a thin but sturdy plastic (flexible) type cutting mat/ place mat. I exacto knife cut through 3 sides of a 4- 6 inch square into the center of the sturdy plastic, and then bent the only intact side back & forth (x10) so that the door would automatically collapse under the tiniest mouses weight. I used whatever natural irregularities were there in the 3 cut sides of the door to layer the edges of the door over the rest of the mat to temporarily make the trap door seem (barely) level.
Then, on top of the trap door, i added a circle of waxed paper, barely bigger than the trap door dollop of peanut butter in the spot directly over the trap door. Then, mice fell with into the bucket with the wax paper & peanut butter so they didnt eat eachother (happened once, before) and it also surprised me that the mice were so distracted with their "prize" that it gave me enough time to react & quickly secure them all into the inescapable portable holding pen that they were collected into & taken out to the woods in... So no escape was not an issue when the mice got trapped alongside their peanut butter prize! Win win!
Wow great!
Smart mouse
Yes
Your holes are too tight, so the tube doesn't rotate. Try an aluminum can.
Yes, I understand that too. Next time I will make it with an aluminum can definitely. Thank you so much for watching. ❤
