Love this series. I had a friend in High School who played the original D&D with his father, so that’s what he got us to play before we switched to 5e. Those old modules just have this weird feeling to them which I really like.
I know your intro is you gearing up to roll the flashing d20, and then rolling it, and then it hitting the 20 and doing its thing, but I've always seen it as you, a great and powerful Wizard, finding an ancient artifact, then it destroying and consuming your soul whilst you sleep, only for it to fall out of your hands as you wither on the deathbed and it celebraiting the acquisition of a new soul. Also great videos, love all your stuff!
“The Hood’s blade would normally have done 0 points of damage to his own hand, but since it’s magical, it does 0 + the magical bonus (+1?), and thus the Hood accidentally cuts off his own hand.” 😉
Oh no... I have reached the end of the playlist... Woe is me, what am I supposed to do now? My life... Oh right, you have another campaign running, that I can start watching now, hihi^^
I love every Mage's Musings reviewcap!
Players should use extreme caution opening a sarcophagus in any B series module. There is a high chance of there being a wight.
Hmm uploads from Both you and Bandit's Keep on the same day...got some good watching for Old School play tonight

Great recap

😂
It’s THAT kind of session! 🤣
The retainer wished he’d done it, too? So funny! 🤣
Love the Reviewcaps! Not a fan of the filter, but please keep going anyway. My favorite 'Actual Play' Series by far!
“The Hood’s blade would normally have done 0 points of damage to his own hand, but since it’s magical, it does 0 + the magical bonus (+1?), and thus the Hood accidentally cuts off his own hand.” 😉
And Vahid loses yet another character, even naming the Dwarf after himself could not save him.
Next time? Vahid II, son of Vahid?
Actually, he has a level 2 Ranger as well, so perhaps the bad luck has passed?
This reminds me: I like how you added to Castle Caldwell to make sense of the module (e.g. an explanation for why the berserkers were there). 🤗
Those are some nice paper minis
They are awesome. I don't use anything but! =)
Hooray for reviewcaps! They are my favourite kind of hat! 🤗
This group is stone cold. Poor Vahid.
Oh no... I have reached the end of the playlist... Woe is me, what am I supposed to do now? My life... Oh right, you have another campaign running, that I can start watching now, hihi^^
The things pcs will do. .. do
The group encounters another adventuring party .. Concealing their treasure.
Going to steal that for an encounter
These recaps are AMAZING!
Thanks! More en route - Next one is almost done and should be out this week!
AWESOME!!!
Loved it
Geezus!
Indeed! 🤣
Dang
Considering his you dislike this part of B9, the DM Changes+PC roleplaying turned it into my favorite part of the campaign so far.
It's certainly my least favourite of that lot, but it does have utility for sure.
