To sum up Metroway's problems: It's main reason for existing is to serve the places between the existing Metro stations, which is a good idea; however, that use-case isn't strong enough to warrant BRT over regular bus or extra bus service, and the actual implementation of BRT is poor.

WMATA should've put the BRT on the Columbia Pike

I'd rather just have a full-on Metro line down the Columbia Pike, like what was proposed back in the 60. The provisions for a junction are already there in the Pentagon station. The general idea is right though. BRT works well when it supplements Metro, rather than competing against it as seen with MetroWay. I feel like ideally, something like Metroway should have been built as a Tysons-Alexandria orbital bus route.

Honestly this is just a glorified bus route and nothing else.
Maybe it can redeem itself if it transforms into a streetcar, I guess.
