GREAT HELP! AND straight to the point. YOU HAVE NO IDEA how much I love you for this ENTIRE VIDEO! I thank you so much! I can finish my project now! 🥰👏
Well, all I can say is "THANK YOU!" This video and your video on the loop start were life-changing for me. Now, I'm off to watch your video on the away waste knot. Never too late to refine our stitching methods. You're great!
Your tutorial is great! I would like to ask how do you secure the first stitch? Do you leave a tail and then weave it in and out and also how do you end your beading? Same way?
I do leave a tail and weave it in and out. In general, when embroidering with beads, I weave in ends the same way I would for the cross stitches (or other embroidery stitches!)
For beads where they're all alone like this, I generally use the loop start, yes. If they're in with a bunch of stitching, I'll start it whichever way seems easiest.
Great tutorial , i have been looking & thinking on how to incorporate Beads/Gemstones into cross stitch , in order to make Jewellery & going back through the bead makes more sense 😊
+Stephanie Sharp Honestly, I don't have a favorite brand. If you are stitching relatively small numbers, Mill Hill beads are even and space nicely. If you need large amounts, I like Miyuki, Toho and Delica, because they are exactly the size they say they are. The cheaper Czech beads can be fun to use, but the sizes will vary as the manufacturing process is less precise.
+StitchingWithAShimmy Yes, I agree! I found out the hard way using Czech beads, and I had to abandon a project because the sizes varied so much! Thanks for the suggestions. I love using delicas for bead weaving, so I'm going to try them with 16 count aida. I have some tohos for 14 count aida, too. I'm hoping to finally get it right! I love thus technique. I'm a bead weaver, not really a cross stitcher, but this technique looks really fun!
Your video had really good information. It was out of focus and very see. You may want to consider upping your video quality if you continue doing UA-cam.

This video just erased any intimidations I had from doing patterns with beads. Thank you!!!! So helpful!
Jackie Flores I'm glad! beads aren't anything to be intimidated by. And they're so SHINY!

Thank you very much. Very helpful along with using tacky bob and wonder invisible thread, I'm beading my very first big project.

Best tutorial ever about how to cross stitch with beads. What is the best brand seed bead to use? Thanks!

The information here is helpful, but the video was very blurry and out of focus after you zoomed in.
Now I know!
Thanks. Too bad about the potato quality though.
