Thanks for posting and showing off some cool mods. I literally just printed out one of the front plate magnetic adapters earlier today. It's a great addition; I frequently swap between 0.4 and 0.6 nozzles so the magnetic cover makes swapping that much quicker. I also use the PTFE splitter you showed first; I like that one a lot. Have a great night!
Such gadgets videos are my favorite videos, thank you! But I never liked the small poop bucket you showed, I quickly switched to a system where you can remove the basket and then you still have a poop deflector for larger prints, called poop basket system. It also has a bit more space at the front to throw in the test strips. I can absolutely recommend this part instead of the one suggested here
Totally know what you mean. I think it depends on how you use the printer. Something like what you mentioned is also in the Makerworld collection I shared.
I'm not 100% sure if mine is printed in PLA or PETG ( i have both in grey) but so far no problems. It's probably fine ( I won't guarantee it) but I'd just try it
I use the phantom luts by Joel as a base grade and then have another look out on top at like 30% (not sure which one right now) and also some other nodes in DaVinci. All filmed in Sony slog 3 Hope that helps 😊
I can‘t say anything about the Kobra 3. Between A1 and A1 mini: if you have the money and the space: go for the a1 since more print volume is always nice. You can print bigger stuff and more at the same time. However the A1 Mini is also great. I would so 80-90% of my prints fit on that print bed and I like that I can easily store it away when not in use. Hope that helps 😊 If you end up buying I‘d really appreciate it if you use one of my affiliate links . It really makes a difference and helps me make more videos 😊
I love your calm, cinematic video style :D I wanna buy the A1 or A1 Mini very soon, but have been stuck deciding wich one to get for months now :D Do you think the A1 is worth the extra money for the bigger Build volume ? Will i regret getting the Mini because of the smaller Build plate in the long run? Maybe you can help me decide :) ( I am a student, so i am kinda on a budget but happy to invest a but more if its worth it in the long run)
Haha this seems to be a common question. I think if you have the space and want to do it long term, go for the A1 since the bigger print volume does help. That being said the A1 mini is still great. 80-90% of my prints fit on there and I like the small form factor and lower price. So it‘s a bit about which is more important to you and both are great. If it was my only 3d printer I‘d get the A1 if possible. If you end up getting one it would mean a lot if you use one of my affiliate links, as it really helps me out 😊
@@Arne.Bornheim Thanks a lot for your insigs, it really is a hard decicion because they are both great at what they are i will definitely use your links :D
Yeah i think currently there‘s not much to see from them but andre the creator of swapmod said that they might make something for the a1. I think there‘s a good chance that someone will make something like it eventually. Not sure how soon it‘s gonna happen though…
A1 although it is more expensive, it is worth it because the print bed for the mini it is only 7 inx7x7, and it only can print 7 inches high. But with the A1 it prints 10inx10x10 and you can print 10 inches high. The A1 is just over all better. And it is on sale.
@@Iceeman13 I'm literally ready to check out and can't decide. I am a beginner. I used a 3D printer at uni about 13 years ago to prototype and it's something I've wanted to get back into. The a1 min is £169 and the A1 is £289 for me just now. Swaying towards the mini since I don't really know what I'll be printing yet and it's much smaller and easier to put away and take out when using. What do you think?
Really depends on your space and budget. The A1 Mini is a great machine and I‘d say 80-90% of the parts i print fit on the small plate. However if you have the space and think 3d printing will be a long term hobby the bigger plate of the A1 will always be a benefit. @@Arne.BornheimI opted for the A1 mini due to the price and there is a real possibility that I lose interest. If I don’t then I will probably sell the a1 mini and upgrade later down the road 😅
Cable chains are not purely aesthetic fyi. They are supposed to restrict movement which prevents damage to the cable, and damage caused by the cable. Looping onto something next to your printer, accidental knocking into the hot plate, etc.
I've printed like 10 different PTFE connectors and every single one didn't work properly, at least when cutting the filament straight with the inbuilt filament cutter... just ordered the Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE connector to make it work reliably.
I know what you mean. I have had some good and some bad results. The ones in this video worked well for me but could have been coincidence. Definitely the one from Bambu is the most reliable
I love how all the mods to the A1 mini look so sleek like it actually shipped that way from bambu! Awesome video man!
Thanks 🙏 it’s that light grey pla or petg that really helps tie the look together.

Happy to hear 😊 Yeah the magnetic front plate is definitely something that could just be a standard
Nice video dude, I'm getting an X1C this summer, the poop chute looks like a very useful print!
Thanks so much. If you‘re getting an X1C I also have a video on mods for that
Great content, directly to the point and informative. I watched and learned, no wasted time!
Also the swap mod is a game changer!
Thank so much 😊 glad you liked it. And yeah the swapmod is amazing

@@Arne.Bornheim I see, thanks for answering!!!!
Great video man, congrats!, but I don't see the links I n the description, can you share, thanks
Thanks! There is one single link to the makerworld collection 😊 it’s in the description
Great video content and videography!
Thanks so much 😊 !
Would PLA be a bad idea for the magnetic hot end cover? I can imagine it would get way too hot for PLA there
I'm not 100% sure if mine is printed in PLA or PETG ( i have both in grey) but so far no problems. It's probably fine ( I won't guarantee it) but I'd just try it

Thank you so much 🙌🏻 I have heard from the phantom luts so thank you for approve them 🙏🏻
Im wondering on whether to get the a1 mini with the ams lite combo or the a1 ams lite combo or the kobra 3 ace pro combo. Any suggestions??

there's a poop shoot in makerworld where it also has a tpu insert. vibrations doesn't matter now. lol
nice! have you tested this? not sure how much noise comes from the filament balls ratteling against each other vs agains the poop basket
Just commented above, but do you mean the poop basket system? It has such a TPU insert and for me it was an absolutely great upgrade!!!

Thank you 🙏 that’s a compliment I’ll take any day

@Dylan-eq6xw yeah 😊 the good thing is you can’t really go wrong with either one
Do a video on the ‘A1 Mini Side Runner’ mod!! 🙏
Thanks for mentioning it. It‘s a really cool and interesting project you built there 😊 I‘ll keep it in mind
There any chance of a full size A1 swapmod?
From what I understand it‘s not currently planned but there‘s another company called jobox that might work on something similar for the a1

Is the 11th replace it with a prusa
I wouldn‘t but you do you 😊
